      As Act 3 of my playthrough draws to a close, I'm debating whether to start creating Honor mode guides or to do another playthrough with a new class. I'm excited to add more content to the BG 3 Solo Community. 😁

    • @Kukutiel40411
      @Kukutiel40411  Před 6 měsíci +2

      Yes, I have been contemplating how to save all of the Gondians all day. It's especially challenging as I only have 1 attempt in Honor Mode. I've had a lot of runs of the Iron Throne from my previous playthroughs, but not as a sorcerer warlock. Luckily, the pathing and general idea should be the same.
      I played it as a monk during a previous playthrough. Step of the Wind, Cloud Giant Strength potion, Longstrider, and Haste Concentration can all be used to make traversing across the Iron Throne extremely simple. Since I was thinking about this part of the game, I chose my DURGE as a Wood Elf; all of the movement speed will be quite useful here, especially on solo. 😅

      Freeing all hostages is one step but keeping them alive is another story. I admit that in my solo honor run I skipped most bonus bosses of act 3 except Ansur - the longest fight in my bg3 life - it took nearly 3 hours.

    How should you choose which variation of hex to use? What do you check for in the enemy stats?

    • @Kukutiel40411
      @Kukutiel40411  Před 6 měsíci +3

      Hex affects Ability checks and not saving throws. Hex is a super useful early game as it gives you the capability to OHK enemies early game with the added 1d6 necrotic damage.
      Hex Strength: lowers ability to shove or resist shove, and as well lowers jump.
      Hex Dex: Lowers their initiative if applied before combat (useful to surprise the enemy).
      Hex Int: lowers the chance of a wizard to counterspell you.
      Hex Charisma, lowers the chance for a sorcerer to counterspell you.
      Hex constitution, no effect, not good.
      I hope this answers your question. :)

    Why one into wizard?

    • @Kukutiel40411
      @Kukutiel40411  Před 6 měsíci

      I replied to a similar question from Xplah, but in reference to that comment I've pasted the response here.
      "You can learn any useful wizard spells from level 5 or 6, if you respec into a complete wizard. The cool part about this system is that you can keep or see these "learned" spells, which are often limited to one use, if you respec to your original class as long as you have one class into wizard. You don't need to have a level 5 or 6 spell slots to use these spells either as while using the Staff of Markohenshkir passive: Arcane Battery and the Illithid passive: Free Cast, you can cast these spells for free twice per long rests."
      In summary, the Wizard class offers a great deal of versatility. Act 3 in particular allows you to make the most of your extra level of spell slots, which you can use to insert newly learnt spells after respecing.

    Why Fire Acuity Sorc if using chain lightning? Is it worth going 2 tempest cleric in a build like this?

    • @Kukutiel40411
      @Kukutiel40411  Před 7 měsíci +4

      I never bothered to respec into a lightning sorcerer since I intend to stay this way until I face Raphael, and the fire resistance will come in handy in that fight. In my previous video, I faced Ansur, who is resistant/immune to lightning damage, hence why I stayed as a fire sorcerer.
      Although Tempest Sorcerer is a fairly popular subclass, I'm currently playing Sorcerer Warlock on this playthrough, so I opted for a build that synergizes well with Warlock.
      Going with the Tempest Cleric subclass would be worthwhile because of its ability to channel divinity, but I personally like the Thief subclass because of the Fast Hand combined with the Level 6 Fire Sorcerer's quickened spell and damage increase on fire spells. (Personal preference).
      Additionally, the Ray of Fire can eliminate foes that lack fire resistance, you'll see an example of this in my Ansur Solo Honour video.
      Chain lightning combined with the wet debuff + duplication will eliminate every adversary, lightning or tempest included; it is already overkill.

      @@xplah "Artistry of War spell" is the name of a scroll found at the sorcerer's sundries. You can learn any useful wizard spells from level 5 or 6, if you respec into a complete wizard.
      The cool part about this system is that you can keep or see these "learned" spells, which are often limited to one use, if you respec to your original class as long as you have one class into wizard. It wasn't necessary for me to use it in this video.
      Just recently I went into 6 Sorcerer, 4 Rogue (Thief), and 2 Warlock for 2 feats since I wanted to add more firepower in order to get ready for my solo Raphael attempt. (Hoping it goes smoothly) :)
      I hope this answers your questions.

    Yeah, I used this kind of dude for a recent Honour run. It’s extremely strong. Incredible action economy and mobility.
    Only problem is when you are solo fighting tons of mages and they won’t stop counterspelling you. But that isn’t terribly common.
    You are so mobile that the only way to kill you is hold person or an ensnare from an enemy ranger. I like the ring of free action for that, personally - but that didn’t seem like a danger in this fight.

    • @Kukutiel40411
      @Kukutiel40411  Před 6 měsíci +1

      In this game, mobility is crucial, especially on honor. You can fly around as early as Act 1, and it's amazing how much you can get away with! Since Potion of Fly may be found throughout the game with ease.
