- The Gorka E Summer Suit by SSO, from Russian Cold Camo. This is a summer weight variation of the famous gorka wind and mountain proof suit. Incredible outdoor clothing for hunting, bushcraft and more. The suit features an 80 year old camouflage pattern known as SS Leto aka Partizan camo. It is highly effective. The same pattern is used on the Russian Partizan suit.

Thanks for watching! There are a few suits left, but there are 2 other summer suit options available. Any of them would be excellent. russiancoldcamo.com/collections/gorka-suits/products/sso-gorka-suit-e
The camo was inspired by the ss Oakleaf variations made in 1943-45 very cool camo
I have the same suit!
Brand is called Bars.
I love this so much!
I use it for fishing and bushcraft and stuff and its so super awesome to wear.
I agree with everything you say in the vid.
Its worth every cent (€ cent 😉) i paid for it.
So well made, awesome camo, super comfi to wear, like a jogging suit.
Love that vid.
Greetings from Germany, your GR🤘🏻
Great review, I like that tick protection feature on those pants
Thanks man! These suits are really nice. You can wear them many days. Very comfortable and functional.
As always great video and review! Thank you Jess, really appreciate your all you do to help us be better bushcrafters and woodsman.
thank you, Martin! 🌲🌲🌲
Awesome as always.
thanks Joe!
STN ratio looks pretty good for the camo. Really like the anti tick feature. I will be looking into this for sure.
Nice suit! Thanks for sharing!
thanks David!
Man i didnt even know i wanted a gorka suit 😮
Thank Jess!!!👏👏👏
Thanks brother! 🌲🌲🌲🌲
Those are sweet suits, I must get one. Thanks for the mention my friend. I really love this Russian stuff, it’s solid gear for sure. And those folks at Russian Cold Camo are great people.
No problem brother.. Absolutely, the camo, the quality of the gear, and the people... all awesome.
Thanks Jess.
You got it bro. Have a good one!
Pretty cool suit 🤠
Thanks Herb
Great video
See you with the kettle bell reminded me of some of your older videos
Be cool to see a new version of your workout routine that keeps you in woodsman shape
Thank you! Will put something together. Have a good one!
great suit :)
Thanks Ronny!
Nice suit, excellent review. The camo pattern coupled with the bug net surprised me how well it blended in with your background, nice!
Thanks! Yeah, it is surprisingly effective. Reminds of Alpenflage a bit.
@@EnduranceRoom sure does, less the red color. I think the Swiss Army likes red 😁
Chillest accent
Nice costume Jess.
thanks Dan!
Nice video. Greetings from Bulgaria :))
Thank you! Cheers from NY
Great one Jess. Torren is about an hour west of me so our terrain is pretty much the same. I've not regretted getting my gorkas at all. I wouldn't mind getting this one in the fall ss leto. Big thumbs up to ya for shouting out Survival Metal Man. 👍
Keep up the good work my friend. John.
Thanks John! Torren hooked me up with a shoutout when I first was getting going. Was happy to. The fall pattern is really sweet. I like the cut on this suit, its a subtle difference, but nice. Have a good one!
Great suit, I have one. The camouflage though? This was widely used by the waffen SS throughout the second half of ww2. Good review.
In case anyone is wondering, the word "leto" in "SS Leto" means summer in Russian
That camo looks very effective Jess. thanks for the video. I really like US woodland camo which seems to be getting harder to find. That Gorka looks like it would work here in Michigan as well. 👍
Thanks Jeff! Woodland is awesome. I am sure you would enjoy one of these suits in MI.
It cracks me up when you say PALARKA, it is Pa-lat-ka. Nice functional costume. I've just been testing out those side suspenders/braces from Helikon Tex which come with belt loops if you don't have trousers with the tabs, but for me, they take some getting used to and I found them to be not overly comfortable - I'll probably switch back to my traditional Y Suspenders.
Thats odd, I hear palat-ka when I listen back. It is a good suit. I have not used any if the Helikon gear.
the Russians have 4 variants of the SS Leto camo with the spring one (Partizan-M) being the closet to the German Waffen SS oakleaf pattern of WW2. Also did you know the Russians also duplicated the German Flecktarn pattern - the Russians called Flectar. Did you know the Gorka came about in 1981 however the company that designed it based it upon the clothing woodsmen/huntsmen in the mountains in WW2 would wear at the time (back then it was made of canvas fabric). Once again cracking video and good drills. Alley Af bro
Thank you, brother. Appreciate it. I really like the Partizan M, but haven’t seen the Flectar pattern. I did hear that the gorka was based off german hunting clothes. Pretty cool bit of history. The canvas weave they are using on the gorka and the palatka is really something. Have a good one, my friend.
Love your videos! You have gotten me into gorkas and palatkas and both are awesome. As you say, "I haven't looked back!"
I recently went on a trip where some small embers tragically burned a few tiny holes through the palatka near the arm hole. Do you have a recommendation for patching/mending?
Thank you for your content. I always look for the next one.
Thank you! Glad to hear you are using them. For the holes, it depends how big they are, you might be able to stitch it up with thread if small. If its more than a couple threads, I would probably patch it. Leather or canvas would be cool.
Have a good one!
Snuck the kettle bell in on this one . Unusual pattern. I like the cuff for ticks . Have a good one
Yeah, it had been a minute on the KB. The pattern is deceptively effective. Have a good one
PLEASE!
Do more videos of there products using this formatJess!
Got four item's from them so far and could not be happier! : )
👍🏻👍🏻
thank you!
Late to the game but rad review! What how hot would you say this variant is good to? (assuming low humidity)
Thanks! I would say about 65F. This stuff just got real hard to get. I would check Russian Cold Camo, as its not getting shipped in.
@@EnduranceRoom I'm sure they did! Even with the summer variant afraid that may not be a be a great fit for my climate. Summers see nearly every day from mid May till the start of October at >90°f.
you said the summer suits are 100% cotton as opposed to tent fabric, do they soak right through when they get wet or do they have some capacity for water resistance still? also, are these things still pretty warm or are they actually comfortable in the heat of the summer? i live in upstate NY myself and spend a lot of time in the ADKs
They have some water proofing, but not much. It is too warm for me in summer, better suited spring and fall. For summer, the sumrak suits are the best.
лето - Leto is translation for summer. So SS Leto/Partizan is a summer camo
Thank you. Appreciate that.
Still waiting for my Gorka 4 suit… so bummed.
They are worth the wait. If you dig your palatka, you will definitely enjoy the gorka.
I would suggest you start buying from Soviet power or even Gray shop because Russian cold camo is extremely overpriced and I thought Gray shop was bad.
RCC is US based, so there is going to be some mark up. The have to pay their bills. I feel they make up for the cost with how they offer fast free shipping on most orders and will let you return anything if there are any issues. That is pretty awesome.
So glad I bought this suit in 2021 just before the 2022 Russian-Ukraine conflict because you can’t find this anywhere to buy online in North America. You have to be in Russia now to get this suit
Mostly your face gives you away. Cool beans.
Fun to see you dancing around who the camo was originally issued to. I guess that you don't want to fall foul of CZcams's censorship policies.
During WWII, the Germans called the patter "Oak Leaf" and it was never issued to the regular army (Wermacht). Oak leaf camo was on general issue to Adolfs more ideological warrior divisions. The pattern is called "Leto" (summer) in Russian. The Partizan suit is something different - it is a very lightweight all cotton two piece over suit and is designed to be very loose and baggy to help with concealment. Partizan suits comes in all sorts of different camo patterns, although to the best of my knowledge, the first camo pattern was Leto. The top end Partisan suits are also fully reversible.
The Gorka and the Partizan suits are excellent pieces of kit. I too have many of both.
I was sent an interesting invite to take a survey a few days ago, to better help put forward content from different creators. Lets just say, I didn’t feel inclined to fill it out. Excellent gear, excellent camo.
while everything else you said is right, this is not oak leaf, it is just inspired by it. You can see nice examples of original Eichenlaub A and B (even) on youtube. Greetings from Germany :-) I would wear Eichenlaub all the time, but, yea, politics xD
Nobody is "dancing around" anything. We are Americans using all different types of milsurp, its not a fashion or political statement.
Yes, I have such a large baggie Russian lightweight Partisan camo 2 piece costume, mine is in the береза (bereza) or "birch' pattern and it came straight from Russia. The SS OAK LEAF can still be purchased in the UK for reenactors, collectors etc.
