Probably not. Enemies would just fire at the trash piles. They are not hard to spot, and you would be a sitting duck. Ghille suits works because you are hard to spot. Trash piles are easy to spot. They just cover the guy inside.

Something i do kinda find funny is that they maintain these airsoft courses insanely well to prevent people getting hurt on actual trash and stuff. But even then people see the pile and trash and because it fits what they imagine an abandoned place would have in it, they just kinda ignore it and assume its supposed to be there
Even in well maintained areas a pile of swept up or moved trash isn't unusual. Tbh I would find this believable in heavy woods, seen a lot of dump spots from campsites etc that look like this
While you're right and there's never trash everywhere they will sweep it all up in a corner or behind a door to get it out of people's way. Inky if its really windy will they take remove all the trash straight away and not leave it for later. It would be more realistic of it had a few leaves stuck on but nobody us going to be even looking for that kind of detail because trash ghillie suit is so uncommon

With everyone using cameras these days, refs and other players who could literally be anywhere, and most businesses using cameras as well. There is no point in trying to cheat anymore. It's also not that serious anymore and these games have "respawns" making it less of an issue if you get hit. People are a lot less shady these days compared to when cheating was prevalent, even in paintball with wiping hits. Everyone just wants to have a good time now and enjoy the game, not be the mlg best player and win at all costs to prove something.
I love how positive and friendly he is even when getting hit it’s also nice to see that the other players are taking their hits even though they don’t know where or how they got hit

Gotta respect the sportsmanship. I see so many airsoft videos of cheaters, it's nice to see players that will honor the game even when they don't know where they're being hit from.
Full respect, it's a good clean game, no shouting, no aggression, no whining and most importantly no overshooting, i've just come back to the sport after like 9 years away from it and i'm seeing a TON of whining and overshooting, you put the rounds down at people and gave them opportunity to take the hit, how it should be, people just seem to be wanting to up the ROF on their weapons to spit as fast as possible and aim straight for the head, I never saw that much when I was in the sport before but I do see it a lot now.

Even better strat: hide in the ghillie suit for a while, then once you have given the enemy team sufficient ptsd, start leaving trash covered decoys around the map with a camera and a tracker (to find them later) and watch the enemy team waste ammo.

This a strategy straight from WW2. My grandfather journal use describe his unit hiding in trash piles after setting up strings of grenades and caltrops. They have patrols go by once or twice and then next time they would pull the grenades and start shooting the left overs. Worked for a 13 man crew against large German patrols. Love your videos BTW Silo, always amazing. Reason I got into airsoft in Japan.

When not in the trash suit, it cracks me up how many of your kills are on people who look like they're just out for a casual Sunday stroll in the park. They aren't even trying to be stealthy. They just walk side by side, chatting, like nothing is going on and you're in the bushes getting sights on them. It's hilarious.

Thank you for mentioning this. I could never follow the gameplay/game mode and the enemies strolling, threw me off even more. I always think why aren't they being cautious like Silo? Is Silo trying very hard or are the enemies hardly trying? Coz i assume there's a fee to participate in this and also spend on buying guns & ammo. At least they should make their time worthwhile.

When soldiers engage in urban operations, nine times out of ten they're constantly on the move. If they're not engaging the enemy, they're pursuing them. In that regard, passive camoflage like a ghillie suit would be redundant.
Squad marksmen or snipers might make use of them, but within a 3-400m engagement distance (the largest scope you're likely to fight in an urban setting), solid cover would be more ideal.

Sweet, we were always taught to use our surrounding materials and fauna. Never at any point seen this. We used to enter a shrub and use a small shell scrape or foxhole where applicable. Were never seen and had to stay on obs for days at times.

For heavily wooded areas disguise the gillie suit as a fallen tree with suppressor as a twig or branch sticking out of it.

I don't play airsoft (I'm perhaps too old), but I had one video in my feed a few months ago, and since then, I've become hooked at watching them. Silo, of all I have seen on YT, you really are a nice, decent guy, as well as bloody awesome at the game. Don't change, the world needs more people like you, especially your honesty and 'fair play' policy.

I think the best part of this is how out of place a trash pile like that is on the course, because I've never seen one of your games have something like that in a corner. they are _very_ well maintained 👏
It just goes to show how good the human brain is at filtering out what it deems as "expected input". In most abandoned urban/rural setting _like_ the game field, a pile of trash like that *is* normal, but for a crafted and tended environment that *is* the play field... that does not hold true.
Honestly, it'll be great to actually open the eyes of most players who take that cleanliness for granted because once they realize what you are doing, they will realize just how clean the range normally is. It might even inspire some to help keep the area clean, if only to deny you cover
