    Could have voiced over with descriptions added or sub titles . Also would have been nice to open the closet space in the bedrooms and see more of the galley. Nice vessel though (minus the creaking stairs).

    Congratulations. The best catamaran from FP. Now please provide all available surfaces such as roof, hull, mast etc. with photovoltaics, install hydro generators and wind generators together with large batteries and electric motors and the catamaran will be a showpiece. Great.

      Exactly. A boat of this size with these amenities should have no creaking of floor panels. Imagine sleeping in the middle of the night and someone from the other hull suites goes walking up stairs. That’s sure to wake you. Poor attention to detail.

    At 4.40:steps are squeaking. You pay nearly $6.8 Mio. and get squeaky steps? It might be big and spacious but that to me is poor workmanship. One must not forget that a boat is on the open waters and the material is always working. Squeaking means there is air inside and that is an opportunity for humidity to get inside. And that means rotting. Not tomorrow but over time. This needs to be redone.

    • @feltricgarmondweb
      @feltricgarmondweb Před 2 měsíci +1

    • @feltricgarmondweb
      @feltricgarmondweb Před 2 měsíci +1

      that squeaking comes from moving panels, wrong fitting and bad underlaying structure that makes movement itself...

    Great layout for a big family and a long long journey. The quality of it though should be higher. Compared to a Sunreef it is well short of the mark in terms of finish. The smaller cheaper FP’s I’ve been on leave a lot to be desired. Great looking boats - possibly one of the best looking sailing cats but just lacking…….. I’d go the Sunreef to keep the missus happy.

    A catamaran offers significantly more usable space than a monohull. And also more safety at sea. A few years ago I built a 41" yacht myself and made the mistake of installing two 4-cylinder diesel engines. You should definitely use 6-cylinder engines because of the smooth running.

    So how exactly how are even much smaller cats transported overland to a large inland lake from the ocean unless a heavy lift by cargo helicopter is accomplished; which I have doubts about.

Some situations the crew area is a big no, but it didn't appear to be that way here. Just tryung to help since you don't talk in your videos we nees to see what is where

    Sunreef did it, H&H did it bigger, 2Oceans did it, and Leopard almost did it...and Aquila was like 'We'll go with Leopard and go to 70, but make it power' amd of course Silent did it and now has really done it going over 100' and Sunreef was like, 'We'll do a hundred footer mate...but make it power, no sails'. Amd now Fontain Pajot has done it. 80 feet. I think this was a wrong move. Fontaine has always been that 40'-ish to 54' catamaran that was just luxurious enough, easy to handle, not a bunch of powered stuff really. Like a good forst or secomd catamaran that you could get from the 4th owner for about 325k and sail the Bahamas, BVI's, Caribbean. Maybe go to Mexico. Cruise to Annapolis or Florida to Texas. Maybe California, but a lot of stops in Mexico and South America along the way. This doesn't target their core buyers. This is like going to a different market that I think will sell, but the resale is going to be like a custom Rolls-Royce. Huge depreciation, but not enough to make it affordable and it's a second hand Fontaine Pajot. But whatever. They exist and have for A year, but we'll see

      These are designed and built for the charter industry. Note that there is no version without crew quarters and separate service/eating areas. The engine, fuel and water tank sizes tell you what you need to know: this is a motor yacht that sometimes puts up the sails for guests to frame their social media photos.
      Charter is big money. A 45-50' cat charter is going for about $20K USD per week, plus expenses. This thing is easily $50K. They are going straight into Mooring and Dream Yacht fleets. Resale is a second thought.
      It does not need to be most lush ride, or even sail well. Think of it as a floating hotel. It just needs to check off the right boxes.

    The squeaking on stairs and floors does not promise too much good. As a private owner, I would refuse this boat. I wonder who came up with the horrible idea of those open solar panels at the aft cockpit. It a a lot of space that's for sure. Maybe okay for charter, but not good enough in my opinion. I think we pass. It's a very "busy" designed 'thing' like a dozen of Mc D meals, instead of a real turf on surf.
    Trying to cater for every-one often does not work. Too expensive for those who like it and not good enough for those who consider a purchase. Not how I see a luxury cat. Who wants the sides of the bulwarks to fold open at sea? And why? There's already enough room to sit Just another thing to break and possibility to get water on the wrong side of the boat in bad weather.
    This boat has a few very nice features, But for private use, it's just a bit of a mess. Only made for the chartering market? In that case FP missed one of the most lucrative parts of the market.
