You should care. It shows that someone is insecure; or that they believe other people are ignorant and vanity is more important than substance. In either case, it also shows that the person isn't smart or dedicated enough to tackle either issue appropriately. You should also care, because almost everyone behaves this way, and if your president does too it can be seen as a positive or negative.

We ALL have our own individual insecurities and what makes the difference that matters is how the individual deals with those insecurities. Being honest with oneself and acknowledging insecurities while working through them is a good way to deal with such issues in my opinion. Instead DeSantis is judging, isolating, criminalizing, and politicizing others for doing such things as wearing women’s heels…..while not acknowledging what’s on HIS feet.

I just saw a video of a doctor that performs surgeries on men that have hair problems. He spent a whole video showing what he thought Trump has done to his scalp. I never thought that someone..even Trump, would go through such means, to cover up his insecurities. The Doctor said he probably has removed several parts of his scalp and transplanted those areas to his front to cover up his baldness. (just an interesting side note, anyway)

I'm a 5'6" Scottish man who lives in NC, maybe DeSantis just need an "exotic" accent because I've never had a problem being a short guy in America. Kinda sad that height matters. Trump is a big guy, and look at what a disaster he is. Size does not equal competence.

Social pressures are imposing unrealistic standards that suggest you must be around 6'0 or taller, and anything below that is considered less than ideal. Additionally, there's a growing theory that Ron is wearing high boots to appear as if he's 5'11 but might actually be shorter than that.

1:33 explains it all (right photo) - he is wearing lifts inside the already elevated heels of the boot, notice no front half of his feet in the front portion of the boots - heels 2" + inside lifts 2 - 4" = total height increase 4 - 6 inches. Boots are also more comfortable to wear with lifts because in regular shoes, there can be discomfort on your ankles against the shoes' perimeter when using lifts, can also be more clearly evident, boots hide better. If he was clever, he'd stuff the front half with rolled up socks or similar to make it appear that the front half of the boot is occupied.
