I don't agree with Alyssa on many topics, but I do love how she's able to push back on her thoughts/opinions when Joy is hosting the show. Yeah they may talk over each other a bit, but I feel the conversation flows more smoothly.

@srebaayao9616 you know a huge percentage of homeless people in California came from somewhere else. According to a new York times article, 43% of of homeless surveyed in San Francisco reported living in the city for many years. So, it's pretty much safe to assume the other 57% are transplants.

Newsom is setting himself up for 2028. He'll be done with his term as governor by then and ready for something bigger. But he has to stay relevant until then and this is how he's choosing to do it. As someone who lives in California, yes there is a rise in homelessness population but what people aren’t talking about is that a percentage of that are ppl from other states who are being sent to california by their native state homes.
I was traveling last year and found out that in some states there is policies that will pay for a homeless individual to take a bus straight to california, this is how some states “clean” or “address” THEIR homeless population, by making it CA’s and Newsom’s problem.
The policy you just mentioned only busses people BACK to their state of origin.
