Wow... I always hesitated on doing carbon because it eventually fades due to heat and sun. I had no idea you could restore it! I once had a carbon nsx trunk that had a slight fade in the carbon. I sold it pretty cheap to a friend. I hope he can watch this video and restore it to its previous glory.
Send this video to him
@@amirsaab9952 Thank you so much for the advice! I did send it to him and he tried to do this on some of his other parts, but I don't think he watched the entire video or used the wrong chemicals because he completely messed up his carbon pieces. But then I find out it wasn't even real carbon! It was hydrodipped and all he did was melt off the coating. haha!
Use heat gun immediately after applying resin to remove bubbles and orange peel imperfections.
I needed this, thanks!
This has been very helpful. Thanks
How about a link for the carbon fiber and clear coat as well--looks pretty cool!
Great video. Perfect length and excellent narration and editing.
Thank you!!
Mine has done this think coz cheap clear coat. So now going to sand down and 2k UV paint
Great job
I’m redoing a carbon fiber exhaust on my bike but I’m having issues finding a high heat epoxy.. could you point me in the right direction?
I hope one day I’ll have use for this video, currently no carbon fiber parts lol
Wow 🤩
Looks good! I need to do this for my evo lip and I’ll subscribe too. Looks like you got some sweet rides!
Right on!!! Thank you!!
This is great work! Surprised you don’t DA and use a polish /wax finish protocol. Clearly you’re getting results but your work would be even better with some meguiars polish then wax application
Thank you!!! I’ll give that a try on my next project!
🔥 video Jayson
Thanks brother
can you skip all the sanding and go directly to clearcoat?
You can… but sanding is so that the surface is leveled evenly. If you feel like the surface is fine, hit it with clear coat. If you want better quality then preparation takes the most time!
Another great video!
Wheres your Nsx Jayson?
I still have it. I just haven’t posted any updates on it. I’m working on a few new videos of it and I will be posting soon!!
Just want you to be aware that someone is stealing your content claiming as their own. It’s being posted in a detail group on Facebook.
Hey thanks for the shout out. I’m the one who posted in the detail fb group.
but actually for performance you wont care as long as it holds shape, strength and weight on all parts
Maybe it's just the lighting, but that is some orange peel.
Did you not hear him ? Lmao he said if you’re looking for perfection you can wet sand and buff but he ain’t gonna do all that 🤦🏽♂️
I put the video on repeat and fell asleep to your psychologist voice... zzzz .... zzzz
In all seriousness, ty for the tips!
