Great finish for Pidcock but he was so close to being overtaken I think he should have kept his head down till he got past the line. Could have been a classic error of celebrating too soon!!!
Yeah the women’s race ended exactly as how you mentioned. Riders shouldn’t be celebrating early in a sprint finish.

Pidcock made the same mistake Wiebes did, but got away with it.
Julian Alaphilippe did the same in Liege Bastogne Liege a couple of years ago. hands in the air and Roglic peeped along him on the line.. He must still have some regrets ..

Pidcock had illness and missed vital training at the beginning of the year - you seem to have forgotten to mention that when mentioning MVDPs previous wins and how Tom was 'dropped hard'. MVDP was only 30 seconds back from a small group of 4 but couldn't make the gap. Face it, Tom is always going to better than MVDP on this type of race.
