  • Anything related to mitochondrial dysfunction can lead to chronic metabolic disease. There are many substrates that contribute to sickness, but it’s sugar that is cheap, addictive, and ubiquitous. Dr. Robert Lustig’s goal is to educate people about the harmful effects of sugar so that sugar consumption becomes less socially acceptable.

    Exactly why I tossed out everything in my pantry made with sugar and EVERYTHING that can turn into sugar- (rice, pasta, cereal, flour for baking, bread and bread machine) all gone. In one month I have dropped 10 pounds and I am not hungry at all, NO cravings. It was the damn sugar sabotaging me all the time and the NO Fat Milk was a back stabber too. Big on meats and very limited on fruit (sugar) and selective veg's. It works.

    “Sugar is not love.” I couldn’t agree more with this statement by Dr. Robert Lustig. Unfortunately, society still associate sugar with love. Words and phrases like “Honey”, “Sweetheart”, “Sweetie” and “So Sweet” are obvious examples. Another example is people give chocolate confectioneries to their loved ones on Valentine’s Day. This is how brainwashed and manipulated the sheeple have become courtesy of the major food conglomerates and Hollywood. People who give confectioneries to their loved ones on V-Day are literally poisoning their “Sweethearts” to death by sl0w k1ll.

    If you struggle to quit sugar, i really advice you to read Jessie's Inchauspé book: easy to follow, no restriction of social life, no extremes.
    If you are still tired after quitting sugar, which can lessen your motivation to follow your good diet, maybe have a look to COQ10+NADH, and/or NMN to get some energy, but don't use on a long run, as we don't know the long term effects yet. You might probably have a mitochondrial dysfunction because of your bad diets habits, or because of childhood trauma, and this dysfunction could last a while or forever, so this fatigue (post meal often, even after a very small meal; and brain fog too) must be adressed with supplements like NMN or NADH: it helps a lot.

    You can't educate some people, and it's silly to suggest otherwise.
    Cutting corn and sugar subsidies for all large corporate farms is important, as are **swingeing** (sic) taxes on sugar and corn product imports. The corporate farms will "howl with anguish" at the cuts and cite potention mass unemployment. (They used to say this about tobacco). If you want to ruin an economy or society, give subsidies to support dying or unethical industries (or give subsidies to buy votes in marginal electoral districts).
    Subsidies should never be given, unless the very survival of the country is threatened.
    Subsidies are wealth transfers and are immoral.

    Something most people don't seem to know is to read the ingredients list on your box of salt or table salt.
    Many brands of salt add cheap fillers: sugar, silica (basically sand), cellulose (basically sawdust), and more.
    I've helped several diabetics who experienced issues caused by eating "salt" laced with sugar on / in foods. Once they switched to 100% salt (and not sea salt, either), they were fine.
    Side note: many types of cheese that are cheese (not "cheese product") also have added cellulose, silica, and even sugar. Think powdered cheeses, pre-packaged cheese slices, and stringy cheeses.

    • @EduardQualls
      @EduardQualls Před 10 měsíci +1

      He talked about the mechanism in a different video, although he didn't give numbers. The situation is that, when the liver converts proteins into glucose, the liver must actually use more energy to do the conversion than it gets within the final product. This means that, for a non-obese, non-diabetes-2 individual (particularly one engaging in regular, muscle-challenging/muscle-building exercise), the extra protein-conversion actually decreases liver fat in that process. However, for someone already sated with carbs (long-string sugar), that extra glucose can go into storage within the liver, causing the disease. This is why a keto/carnivore diet rarely ever results in fatty liver conditions. This is a second way that sugar is trying to kill you.

After doing Keto for six years (as suggested by doctor Berg, Smitd & Berry's videos) my blood pressure was high high and my diabetes 2 out of control. I avoided the saturated fats and everything came back to normal.... Lesson: these doctors mean good but one diet doesn't fit everyone. Listen to your body and learn to read your lab results. Take Internet advice with a grain of salt. If it works for you you're good to go. If it doesn't stop insisting, leave it alone. Simple! Good luck everyone!

    If the price of corn goes up, the price of meat and dairy will go up as well as chickens, cows and pork eat corn. Many drinks use corn as a sweetener too, it's everywhere, even in hand creams and toothpaste! It is used to make ethanol gas, batteries, deodorants, diapers, baby powders, plastics, crayons, whiskey, glue, and cough drops and medications.
