Location #1 = Dead Horse Point State Park
Location #2 = (I'm not sure, but my best guess is Arches National Park)
Location #3 = Corona Arch
Nice video! I've had this lens on my radar because the 55-210 is just too soft for what I prefer for photo and video.
Thanks for showing some examples of the handheld video (still pretty shaky without a tripod, but not surprising) as well as the compression you can get with this lens.
Q: Which lens did you use to film the talking head shots?
Yes, the second location is a certain area in arches but still impressive haha. For the talking head I used the sony 10-18 f4
Awwsome video. Thanks for sharing. I found a Sony 55-210mm OSS for $100, picked it up, and it's so cool to use. Not as deep a zoom as your lens, but on my a6400, the 55-210 is pretty amazing as well. Same f stop issues, it's dark, but if you work hard at getting what you want, the a6400 can work it out. High ISO beast mode helps, for sure. ;) I'm a filmmaker, I don't really shoot much still stuff, and so for video, these lenses work really well.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I've heard that lens is not bad for the money
This is a great lens, I have upgraded to full frame and have the 200-600. I use it now with the a7riv and love the small size.
Nice! Yeah it's a lot of fun. Thanks for watching!
Very useful review - I have the 55-210mm, looking to add this for Landscape and save on some walking distance for my 70 year old legs
This could definitely help with that. Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.
Nicely done!
Thanks!
I'm still waiting for the Sony 12-1000mm F1.4 with OSS
Haha good luck
Damn, me too
And priced at $299, right?
@@gimaru1 I'm willing to pay 399
I'd go to $1,000 if it was parfocal too.
Watching from the UK I guessed you were in a National Park but other than that 🤷♀️ I am about to purchase a second hand lens for my A6000, very excited
Oh nice! Enjoy! Thanks for watching!
Love this review. I watched it after I already purchased it. I totally agree on the tripod part. When you film you definitely wanna keep it on the tripod. What tripod would you recommend for smooth filming?
Honestly I'm not a tripod expert but anything by Manfrotto is solid, add a fluid head for smooth panning shots. Thanks for watching!
@@HeartbeatsPhotography Sweet. Thank you for the quick response. Subscribed. Love the content! Happy Holidays!
@@SkipperSurfReview thanks I really appreciate that!
Great video I just got my Sony a6400
Can you tell me where you got your backpack
I have a link in the description of this video for the backpack & I just updated it. Thanks for watching!
Used this lens in sunny days with 5,5 " 3000 nits monitor...must say at least monopod must be (used small photo chair with supporting elbows on knees). Never used for video...like this lens but it very special. Thank you for nice talking.
Nice! Thank you for watching!
Very cool video, I think this lens is for me.
Thanks for watching!!!
Hi! I have this Lens... It's good but i like to improve the image quality...
what do you think of the Sony 70-200 f4? obviously you lose 150mm (or 225mm apsc), but the image quality should be better right? Would you recommend changing the lens? for landscapes and to have a better boke effect
Well I have never used the 70-200 F4 but it seems like a great option. There is always a compromise with pretty much every lens, so it depends on how much reach/compression you want because 225mm apsc is a hugely different look. But obviously the constant F4 is nice and the price isn't too bad just about $200 more than this lens. Just depends on what you Value more I guess haha. But definitely a good option
@@HeartbeatsPhotography thankyou! Always a compromise 🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️🙆🏻♂️🤣
@@cuorebiancorossoo It depends on what camera body you pair it with also. On a 24mp aps-c cameras (which are challenging to resolve), the advantages of the 70-200 f4 conpared to the 70-350 g would be very minimal (while being more expensive, larger, and heavier) Yes, the aperture at 200mm would be bigger, but only by 1 stop. If you’re planning to also pair the lens with a FF body, then it’s worth the trade IMO.
hey mate,
Could you please help me out is this lense suitable for sony a7r iv body?
Thanks in advance
appreciate@!
You could use it in crop mode but you should get a full frame lens instead. Thanks for watching!
Hola! Escribo desde chile. Consulta , ese lente lo puedo utilizar en una fullframe?
Yes if the camera has a crop mode. If it does not have a crop mode than you will see a black circle around the outside edge
What focal length would you say is OK for handheld video footage? I imagine it won't be the full 350mm.
Yeah not handheld at 350. Well the less zoomed in the better for handheld video, but I can't say exactly which focal length haha. Thanks for checking out my Channel!
Sedona Arizona- Grand Canyon (first shot)
All of them were in Utah. I really appreciate you checking out my Channel!
Bj! What's up bro. Appreciate the vid!!!
How would you compare this to the tamron 70-300???
@isaiafalo3715 Thanks for watching! I've never used the Tamron but it seems it weighs a little less than the sony. If I had to guess the Sony probably has better Autfocus because it's a native lens and maybe a little sharper but I'm just guessing haha
Beautiful shots, Utah 😊
Thanks!
New viewer here. Just got the a6400 and I'm looking for goodies for it. Do you think this a good option for sports content? All I have is the 16 55 kit and I'm ready for an upgrade or two.
Absolutely because you could be in the stands or sideline and still get some awesome photos/video
I just got this lens last week. The reach is very nice, and it’s able to lock on to a face more than 100 metres away.
@@saifaldin_ I'm glad you like it! It's a lot of fun to use in different situations.
I have the same set up. A6400 with 70-350 and trust me you will not regret. The only thing I dislike is because of the aperture.. if it's overcast you may find a lot of noise in your pictures and it's not as sharp as some pictures I see online.. but again, you get what you pay for. Apsc body with a 1000$ lens vs full frame with a 10,000$ lens.. you pick lol
@@WilliamLaroche1.618 I can live with the aperture (anything bigger would mean a bigger & heavier lens) Just need to be aware of the light available. I paid about usd 615 used… for that price, it’s really good value.
Nice
Thanks for watching
If I use the lenz 70-350 on crop [sonyZv 10) . Is it be native 70-350 or in equivalent ? 105- 525 ? How ?
Correct, the "look" you would be getting would be like having 105-525 on full frame. Thanks for watching! Highly appreciated!
thnx
Thank you for checking out my Channel! I appreciate it!
Is this lens compatible with Fujifilm X-T200?
I'm not sure but maybe if you could find an adapter to attach Sony mounted lenses to Fujifilm.
i can use this lens on my sony a7iii ??
Yeah but it's meant for an aps-c lens so you might have to zoom in a little. You would maybe be better off getting a full frame telephoto lens
The second location looks like the Valley of Fire.
Use it on full frame, if it has enough megapixels.
I just got my 1st full frame camera a few days ago so I'll definitely get around to it. Thanks for watching!
If you’re shooting sports, save your money, research your Sony g master and all other options for your specific model camera, and then make your purchase, getting hand held clear shots from the sidelines with this lens, even on a bright sunny day, can be a challenge, and you have to understand how the aperture works within your camera with this lens and the continuous focus features of the camera, I own it and have been working with it so I speak from experience, simply put…not a fast enough lens for sports photography, this was a very good honest review at about 12:36, I have not been able to produce very sharp images with this lens, and have with all my other lenses and my Sony a6500, didn’t think the 6.3 min aperture at 350 was gonna be a problem, but it is difficult to shoot around, maybe a better photographer can, this is my real world experience
Is this really the Sigma lens under another name
Nope haha this is the sony. Thanks for watching.
ANYWAY!! NOT S. PLEASE STOP SAYING IT WRONG!!! GRRRR
