I picked up that lens for my A6600 and it is amazing. Paired with the 16-55 lens and that’s about all I need!
exactly! that's what I pair up too
Thanks for the information on the 70-350 mm APS-C lens. I use this lens on my a 6400 Sony camera and am pleased at the results, specialy with eye AF. Keep your videos coming I do enjoy watching and learning.Gill in Oregon
I completely agree with you. Bought this lens a week ago and am thrilled with the sharpness and handling. Even on my old Sony 6300, the image quality is outstanding. The perfect complement to my 16-70 mm Zeiss lens. I have retired the 55-210 mm. I am happy about my decision, especially when experienced photographers like you confirm it.
As always, a excellent review. Thank you so much for your time and share your passion. You really know what you are talking about Bob. So different than the rest. Thanks!!
Just found your channel as fairly new Sony aps user, what a great review of this lens, as a result I have just ordered on amazon, being delivered tomorrow. Can’t wait
Thank you for sharing this with us, great lens!
I too on one of these lenses and agree with everything you have said. I also own the Sony 18-135 mm zoom; another unbelievably good lens. I use them on A6500's.
There are a lot of zoom lenses that are usually pretty sharp at their minimal focal length but they generally lose sharpness badly as they zoon out. The two Sony zooms I use are absolutely as good at the long end as they are at the short end. I could not be more pleased.
Cheers
Enjoyed your video, going to have to get this lense. Your intro made me think it was an MGM production, very grand.
Great info and review, thanks
Just picked up an a6600 barely used to replace the a6000 and so I do t have to carry the a7riii around with the kids. Really eyeing this lens to give me a great combo to compliment my shorter focal length lenses. Thanks for your input.
Nice review!! Thank you!!
Thanks for the review. Going to get one of these for my A6500. :-)
Focus ring - the placement matches the placement of the rings on my go-to lens for my Sony mirrorless cameras; the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens... The OSS complements the IBIS of the A6600. My standard setup is an A6600 with the 70-350mm and the A7iii with the 28-75mm. Quite a decent combination...
Very helpful !!! Thank you
Enjoyed your video, what happens if shoot at a lower ISO?
I was debating this lens and the new Sigma 100-400 DG DN OS. I first bought the Sigma because it is a better built lens, with a better warranty, all the sample images I looked at looked sharper, and has a longer reach. Sadly, I wasn't impressed. Maybe a bad copy? So today I went out and got the 70-350, and it seems much sharper and better colours. I have 6 more days to return the Sigma, so I will be doing some extensive comparison testing over the next few days. I will take the lens to the shop as well, because it performs so poorly that I think it must be a bad copy. But the Sony lens is definitely impressing me.
It sounds like you really like this lens, I do aswell :-) Thanks for the upload
Ein super top Produkt ich habe es mir auch gekauft für meine Sony a6000 und echt super 🥰
Do you thing this would be ok for moon shots?
Just bought it :) with a6500 and sel1655G
