    Attention everyone! I've been getting comments on this video guessing this is like a 500-SHTT or something. If you really want to leave a guess in the comments, please do so. All comments are appreciated 😃
    However, if you're just looking to find out what model siren this is, @romainetomatoes2416 and @Siren-experiments have comments with the correct answer for you to view. I also have a community post I made a while back of an update on version 3 of this project. I have already filmed a test video of this siren, but it didn't go according to plan lol... I'm editing it anyway cause I still think it will be entertaining to watch, and I want to get back into posting soon for you guys!
    Anyway, thank you all so much for your engagement and support!

    Wow very nice. These are based upon the Mobil Directo & first generation Allertor rotor, stator sets. I've studied the rotor design on both sirens, the rows of the smaller blades are all equal length in both rows, while 4 of the big blades line up with 4 of the smaller ones on the 12 port side, while two only line up with two on the 10 port side.
    Then the remaining two of the 4 big middle blades of the 10 port side sit inside of the inside edges of the pairs of the smaller blades around it to make the sound pulse & not protrude further than the inside edge of the middle & top rotor ring.

      Nice one! I'm assuming you saw the community post I made of the redesigned model

    • @Siren-experiments
      @Siren-experiments Před rokem +1

      I have not. The first generation Allertor is my favourite siren.
      On that rotor design as it can rotate clockwise or anti clockwise rotation the end of the rotor blades are a T shape not L shape like on directional ACA sirens made at a later time of production.
      To try & give a visual of how the 4 big blades are between both ports, the back is like this + while the front is like this -+-

      @Siren-experiments So on the 10 port side the vanes stop at the port divider? and the top ones continue through like those of a model 5 per say?

    • @Siren-experiments
      @Siren-experiments Před 8 měsíci

      That is correct. The 10 port side is at the front. No The 12 port row at the back is very similar to a Model 5s rotor. Just hasn't got the 8 little rotor blades around the 4 large ones sticking out like on a model 5.
      Instead the 8 smaller ones are shorter & in line with the bottom rotor ring on that row. Bit like the 8 smaller ones on the 10 port side since only two of 4 middle blades line up with only two of those.

    • @Gvacs
      @Gvacs Před 8 měsíci

      @Siren-experiments Interesting! Thanks for the explanation. Also pardon the fact I forgot the 10 port side is at the front on these lol.

    If you have a shaft on V2, can’t you just fasten the drill’s chuck to the shaft and directly drive it?

    • @breadsyt9975
      @breadsyt9975  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Technically yes. However, it would actually sound worse than using the tire because it would accelerate far too fast, but spin slower overall. It's like a large to small gear ratio if that makes any sense. thx for the comment 👍

  • @romainetomatoes2416
    @romainetomatoes2416 Před 10 měsíci +3

    I didn’t get a clear enough look at all the ports in the 10 port row to tell if it’s an accurate replica of a Mobil Directo chopper. 2 of the ports in the 10 port row should be cut in half by the main chopper blades that extend all the way to the center.

      That's exactly what I did with the new design. it took a while to find good reference photos/videos of the siren, but i eventually found a youtube video of some guy who bought a refurbished mobile directo. he literally took it apart and included close up shots of the disassembled parts lmao

    • @breadsyt9975
      @breadsyt9975  Před 7 měsíci

      I've already made version 3 but I can't seem to get a good recording of it because it's too loud. Like I have to test it in a remote location that also has an outlet, and as far as I'm aware that doesn't quite exist anywhere near me lol. I also need to get some good ear protection for a full blast just to be safe. I made a community post with a screenshot of the final model which I made in blender for some reason (i use fusion now), but that's about all.
      If you read this whole essay then props to you man lmao

    • @breadsyt9975

      I think its hard to guess because in did not use good reference photos when modeling these, so it doesn't look exact. I am redesigning it with better pics so it looks more like what I'm going for. I've made a community post with a screenshot of the new model so it's not unnecessarily hard for people to guess.
