I was approached last Sunday at a Wal-Mart. Never knew such existed. I couldn't go indepth with the lady so i got her info so we can have further conversation. Will be meeting soon. I checked CZcams for videos discussion about them and Mike videos and this (part 1 inclusive) popped up. I couldn't be more excited. This is a great tool for discussion. @@julianaallen8477 She canceled. I literally was waiting for her at a Starbucks and she didn't show up. She later called to have the discussion over the phone but I told her I want us to meet in person. I wouldnt know if that was a missed opportunity to talk over the phone 🤷🏽♀️.
I was approached by this cult as well on my university campus in Canada a few years ago. It was definitely a strange experience

My brother just got confronted by them last night and it was the first time we’ve ever heard of them they invited him to their Bible study on “true prophecy” on the sabbath.
This series is awsome. I came in contact with them here in deer park texas they took me in there church gave me Bible studies and my friend studies etc... but I would question them alot and they didnt like it lol couldnt find alot of stuff on them then so when came across this this is good!
They came to my apt door a couple hours ago & almost got me he did like a 20 min bible study I thought he was Cristian but I was dead wrong , I mean I went to church with my mom when I was young but haven’t been in 8-9 years , I thought they where Christian n wanted to do a quick bible study , he had to be using a fake bible or some or just switched the verses around cause he put it in a way it sounded real but he left a lot out about they’re beliefs now I see he wanted me to get baptized asap and kept asking even said he could call a minister and baptize me in my living room , after watching this I’m shocked cause they almost got me & I do not need this rn 😭 I only got the name of the church from the address he sent me too get baptized at , they didn’t tell me its name …thank u god ❤️
Dear brothers: Can you please do a video on a Hispanic worldwide church called "La Luz Del Mundo"(The light of the world), they are approximately 7,000,000 worldwide. Their "apostle" is actually sitting in the Los Angeles county jail facing charges of child pornography (Nasson Joaquin Garcia). But the members still follow him and the church wholeheartedly, my aunt being one of them. Personally, I have looked into their heretical even blasphemous doctrine which not only denies the trinity, but claims that Jesus and the father are separate beings, and that the church of Christ failed, so their "apostle" was chosen to re-establish the true church. I however don't have a voice, or platform such as you do, but if you could look into them and expose them it would help many, many people. God bless you my brothers.

I wish I could find a PDF or E-Book file of the green book original (including the two chapters removed) so I could study and find the right questions to speak to the members that have been approaching me at my local walmart. If anyone has any links let me know, because the women I spoke to the other day seemed very sweet and I'd like to help her, by softly planting the seeds of doubt and then if it grows helping her get out.
There’s a large building in Colton ca , where I often go for work. Which is why I looked this up. I enjoy Mike’s ministry. I might study up on this, I was raised in the mormon church, and received salvation at 27… I’ve taught Childrens Church for 30 years, and I’m more an evangelist than an apolgetisist however, whenever the LDS missionaries ask to share with us, as I invite them to sit down my wife always walks by and tells them “ He’s been waiting.”… perhaps I’ll get lucky and meet some.
Thanks for the study you put into this. I took in as much knowledge as I could. Took some notes. My wife just came home yesterday and said her regular nail lady, was talking to her about going to this church. She told her I love studying the Bible and set up an appointment to go speak with her. I'm hoping she's not totally brain washed yet. My wife thinks her whole family is involved. I'm pretty sure they're Korean. Say your prayer for me and also I live in Queen Creek so I think they go to Glendale Church.

The people in the word of faith movement act the same way. You can never "confess" any problems because you are supposed to ONLY make a positive confession I tried to ask for help with depression and was told to believe more, to read my Bible, and to love Jesus. Then I was publicly embarrassed in a Sunday school class for taking antianxiety medications.
See my fiance brought me into this church and the members are very shallow and believe that we must suffer happy for the sake of suffering for the sacrifice that Father and Mother supposedly suffered for us. The problem with this is that I have PTSD from abuse as a child and from my exhusband before I became a member so to not be able to confide or talk to anyone or be allowed to have friends is hard . The belief is that friends will corrupt us and we have to carry our burdens ourselves and with out a mind of complaint and that for what ever sin we committed in heaven we deserve hellish lives on earth and should seek joy in suffering here on earth.
I know your comment is a couple years old, but I pray that you and your fiancé have found the strength to leave WMSCOG and find true peace and forgiveness in a relationship with Jesus.

Ran into then at my local Mall yesterday. First I ever heard of them.
I'm in korea rn and was approached by a young woman from this cult. She said she was doing a "research" for a university course and started preaching about the motherly god. When she found out I'm an atheist, she left me alone lmao I'm quite interested in cults so while doing research i came across this video. I grew up in a catholic household so her arguments about the genesis 1:26 were questionable straight up, but it was interesting to hear about the cult in depth

I ran into one of their members in Walmart, heard of them once or twice, but that was my first encounter. These videos help a lot to understand their arguments.

They showed up at my door and asked me to join their studies. Participating in bible study for quite some time I knew their teachings were very different. What I thought was very odd was that fact that they did not pray before and after study . Everything sounded like a script. Jesus Christ feeed us from the law when he died on the cross for our sins. Their doctrine is of the Old Testament and they are worshiping false gods. I pray for the members.

I was approached by this cult on my college campus just before I graduated and was four months from leaving for seminary college. They were not banking on me knowing scripture very well and every time that they tried to confront me with scripture and I would interpret it they were tell me that my interpretation was dead wrong. When I would say that the bridegroom was Jesus and the church was his bride I was told no that is not correct. They also wouldn’t take the fact that I said I was saved as truth.
Hello all, important message for salvation:
In 1 corinthians 14:11, Paul said "If, then, I do not know the meaning of someone’s language, I am a foreigner to the speaker, and he is a foreigner to me." and it's the same thing for God, because The VERY IMPORTANT thing in Christ for us to produce good fruit according to the spirit of God is to first understand his language, because God has a specific language in his Word (the Bible). And if we don't know this God's language, we are foreigners to him.
To have the thought of God, we have to let the scriptures translate the scriptures, we Don't have to think by ourselves, This is the only right way. I give you an example:
The simple phrase "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son"
In our human thoughts we understand "God loves everyone, the whole planet", however, God hates sin and bible says "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world" (1 john 2:15).
But if we give the explanation letting the scriptures translate the scriptures it's clearer:
In Matthew 13:38 Jesus said " The field is the world"
In 1 corinthians 3:9 Paul told the disciples "you are God’s field"
We understand here that world God so loved is his disciples, that he has chosen and known in advance in order to become vases of blessing (romans 8:29)
That's why Paul said "the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world" (galatians 6:14), because all the disciples of Christ are crucified with Christ "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me" (galatians 2:20). Disciples=the world loved by God.
And in this field, in this disciple world, you have the good disciples, the wheat. But the false disciples (false apostle, false pastor…) have been sowned by the enemy while the night.
Only the wheat, the good disciples, disciples who respect the will of God have Holy Spirit, and Eternal Life. The others walk by their own thought, human thought, while believing worship the Lord.
Now, if we keep in our mind that God loves everyone, the whole planet, and if we repeat this human thought to other people, we become liars and false witnesses to God because we don't tell the thought of God but our personal thought.
See, it's very simple, letting the Word translate the Word to have God thought.
God spoke this specific language by his prophets, it's the language of similitudes. "I have also spoken unto the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets have I used similitudes" (hosea 12:10). And he used this langage by the disciples too. However, the whole Bible was written by the prophets and disciples and is written in similitudes. It is therefore to be translated. That's why Paul ask preachers to reveal mysteries of Christ (1 corinthians 4:1).
To know God's language is to know God and to be known by him.
"The revelation of your words brings light and gives understanding to the inexperienced." (psalm 119:130), and having understanding is having life: "Give me understanding, and I will live." (psalm 119:144).

Because of COVID, the Jehovah Witnesses in my area, literally seemed to have gotten a phone book or looked on line or something and wrote handwritten letters to people (with a pamphlet and their website written in the letter) in the area, explaining that they weren't able to visit due to COVID (Mine was in spanish but that much I could read/figure out). It was interesting to see that.
As a former member they observe the 7 feasts and the scripture they used to back it up is because Jesus was the High priest. HEB 4:14-16, Heb 7:12.
Because change in the high priest so does the law. They will say since Jesus is High Priest he only changed the passover to the new covenant passover and how we worship to in spirit and truth. Since those were only thing he changed about the law then as Christians we still need to observe the 7 feasts.

Skeptics Annotated Bible (among other free thinker books) helped me be free. Thank goodness. WMSCOG is a really bad church. I lost a son to them. It took that loss for me to gain the courage to challenge religion on all fronts. I thought I would find my true religion. Instead all I found was poor arguments. I am thankful to Mike for fighting back but do not agree that Atheist arguments fall apart. Quite the contrary.

I do appreciate the video and find it helpful but according to Zechariah 14, Matthew 5... we will be keeping the feasts...so the passover is important but it isn't salvation because Yahushua saves but the feasts will be required in New Jerusalem when Yahushua reigns and everyone that is there will have to observe them...

Yeah, I don't think they are all that harmful. When I look around I see people are not interested in religious observation. They wears suits and ties and in women they wear veils. The church just feels ultra-conservative and legalistic, meaning for most liberal secular people they are not going to find anything that is interesting or appealing to them.Thanks.
