    It looks like these may be your best numbers ever with irons , PXG has really delivered with this edition. Can't wait to see you outside with them.

    • @kalbeeRaimer
      @kalbeeRaimer Před rokem

      Not that great of numbers. Descent angle through peak height does not result in the greatest performance compared to descant angle with spin. The longer the ball is in the air means the more impact wind has on the flight. These are just P790s with some weights. Mid.

    Went to my local PXG shop, got fitted and purchased the Gen 6 irons and Driver. Best irons and Driver than I ever owned and I have been playing for over 30 years. Fantastic job PXG, but you must get fitted to enjoy the benefits of the swing weight optimization and shaft choices.

    I have 2023 Titleist T200 irons, but I am always tinkering and looking for the best clubs for me. I recently tested and purchased the PXG 0311 XF driver based on your review, and I love the feel, forgiveness, and distance. I decided to give the 0311P Gen6 irons a test. The look, sound, feel, and forgiveness are outstanding. They feel soft and explosive at the same time. My T200s are fitted with the Project X 6.0 shaft at a D3 swing weight, which makes it difficult for me to feel where the head is during the swing. The 0311P irons are fitted with the Dynamic Gold 105S and a 12-gram weight in the head to give me the same D3 swing weight, but now I can feel the location of the head throughout the swing. I was custom fit for both sets of irons, but PXG Detroit did a great job.

    I hit these irons a few weeks ago. They’re incredible. I was shocked with how easy they are to hit and how soft they were, and I’m not a good iron player, easily had my best iron day in the fitting bay with these.

    Bought my son the Gen 3 irons last year, as they were really well priced. We played two rounds during spring break, while getting away from the Canadian winter. I had to share his clubs. Unbelievable feeling irons. Also, no “jumpers”, just really consistent. If you have never tried PXG irons, I think you should

    I had a prior Generation set of irons and was not totally happy with the quality, a simple thing but 4 Ferrules came loose and a 5th a little loose. Shafts were Aerotech. I seem to remember reading that they use a Ferrule and a shim to fit different shaft bores. Not sure if that technically correct but here is the place where someone will know. It was a simple thing but a pain. Will try these though, I usually prefer plan forged clubs and dislike the stick on decors, but with these it's actual screws and bars with a logo, they look and sound good.

    Got fit for Gen6 0311P irons and while they sound good, feel good, and are easy to hit overall, I find they can be jumpy or hot on the odd shot (say one in five). E.g. I hit a 7 iron flush and it went 180ish where normal 7 is 165. Anyone else experiencing this?

    • @MisaelValdez24
      @MisaelValdez24 Před 10 měsíci +1

      I as well experience this and it’s my only complaint I have with my GEN3’s. 2 days ago I had a 194 yard Par 3. About a 5-6mpg wind behind me. Went with my 7 iron that I usually hit 175. Landed a yard from the hole and flew off the green. But feel wise, I don’t think I’ve hit anything better feeling then PXG. I’ve been to PGA store several times and try out all the new releases. Just to see if there’s anything worth upgrading to. And I just can’t justify spending money on a new set when my PXG’s perform so well. Just the occasional flyer is my one and only complaint.

    I got fitted today for Gen 6 0311XP. I have been playing 6 months. Love these clubs. Seems like I should follow due diligence and try other clubs BUT from what I understand the only way to adjust all the other game improvement irons (e.g., i525, T350, P790) is for lie only? On the other hand…with the tuning ability of the PXG iron other irons can’t keep up as I grow as a golfer? Thoughts?

    My only concern would be gapping. 190 carry with the 7 and then 220 with 4. Would question that a 6 and 5 would be sufficient at 15 yard gaps after the 7?

    • @kourt2469
      @kourt2469 Před rokem

      They had them 2 degrees weak in loft so adjusting lofts in the long irons down closer to standard would probably take care of that. But typically in long irons you're more concerned with total distance gapping being 15 yards not necessarily carry distance because you get so much more roll out as lofts get lower

    • @Nyasha33

    • @GRIFF22
      @GRIFF22 Před rokem

      @Nyasha33 Sure and do you think the 8 is 180, 9 170, PW 160....leaves you with big gaps at the bottom of the bag. It's better to have some larger gaps at the top, just grip down an inch on a 5 or 6 to take 6/7 yards off. That's the last thing you want to be doing with all your short irons.

      You and others have had issues with Taylormade iron faces cracking, that's why they removed the face slots a few years ago. Obviously the PXG tech is supper to Tailor-made's tech because their faces don't crack. 😄

    • @JSGolfer
      @JSGolfer Před rokem +3

      Looks okay, everyone has their opinion, but the face don’t crack because of the propitiatory insert that PXG uses which makes it as good as it is without cracking, you should give it a try.
      And it’s been tested by long drivers and in cold conditions with range balls and anything you can think of, so there no reason to “not stand PXG”
