Does anyone know how to fix Cc when they pop up in ur game menu but don’t actually pop up in ur game ?
I think you have to unzip the folder if you see a ziper thing on the folder you have to unzip it you can look at videos to show you how to unzip a folder

I need your help. I have literally done all of these things and mods are still now working. I have deleted the files, updated the mods, repaired in origins, nothing shows in the game options.
You know a MUCH easier way to enable your mods after it keeps saying it’s disabled is to just delete the latest game version that’s in the sims 4 folder, start up the game, select enable mods, and restart the game
That's also a great tip, I have mentioned this in some of my other videos, I wanted this one to be a bit different, as this fix does not work for everyone. Thanks for your suggestion!

@@tinysworld1721 Yes take all of your mods out of the mods folder and put them in some folder on your desktop so you'll have easy access to them (call them something like mods) and after that put them back in one by one making sure to launch your game after every mod you put back in (I recommend trying the script mods first as they are the most likely culprit) and you'll eventually find the conflict and if you're lucky all you'll have to do is update the mod but if not you'll have to go without.

Hello there, have you tried to reset your Mods folder (but keep the old one!) and then put the cc into your newly generated Mods folder?
Figured it out! Downloaded winrar and had to unzip the files before moving them into mods/tray folders it works fine now!

Yeah same, if anyone can help me, they're all unzipped, it also shows the "view costum content" and it's all there just fine, but when I either load a game or start a new one, it doesn't work

Still didn’t work.. I’ve tried everything you suggested 😭 I bought sims so I can use the cute CC and nothing works it still doesn’t show up when I go to edit my sims.
Hello there! Did you make sure to put your cc & mods files in the right folder? That should be Documents/EA/The Sims 4/Mods (so make sure not to copy those into a completely different folder, there's only one Mods folder tied to the game).
You can also try to reset your Mods folder (but keep the older one to be able to copy your cc!) as mentioned in here: czcams.com/video/-Li2QdY7HB8/video.html
Does your Mods folder have that resource.cfg file? If it doesn't include that file, your mods/cc might not show up.
If your mods/cc have a zip/rar extension, you should unzip those first and then place those unzipped files in your main Mods folder (don't use subfolders).
Make sure to properly enable mods, Script Mods and cc within your game options & apply changes.
Do you also use an antivirus? If so, make sure it's not blocking your Sims 4 app (to avoid that, please go to the allowed apps & Exclusions sections and add your TS4 folder as well as your TS4 app in there!)
After following all these steps, you should be able to see all of your mods & cc in game, as well as in CAS (you can also go in CAS > click on that little arrow > filter by custom content and see if your cc show up!)

I'd like to start with saying I'm sure this is very helpful for lots of people so, thank you. For starters yes, I have repaired updated and restarted everything I can. Whenever I try to open the game I get a pop up saying a mod file is corrupted. When this was first happening I thought it was just the one of two files and I was okay with that. Eventually after awhile I realized it was going to say every single file is corrupted. I kind of gave up on searching for solutions after a month. 5 months later I take out all my mods and put them into folder separate from the sims4. I download some completely new cc, like just uploaded and my game has never seen it before. It says those folder are corrupted too. Now I just don't know what to do. Can please help someone who has ALL of her files "corrupted". Thank you!

Hi! I have been testing out CAS cc mods and I have been having some difficulty. For example, when I use a certain skin overlay and then try to add cc lashes, the skin overlay will disappear. For some reason, it is not allowing me to use multiple mods at once in CAS. Is there a way to fix this?
Is it possible that you have any outdated mods in your game?
You can try to rename your Mods folder into Mods old (with your game completely closed) and do NOT delete your Mods old folder as you'll need to copy your files from there > open your game > close it straightaway > a new Mods folder should pop up. Here you need to paste all of your files that you have in your Mods old folder (but make sure you get rid of any outdated script mods that you might have beforehand and install the latest versions for them in the new Mods folder)

Hello there! Did you update your game? If so, please take out your UI cheats, install the latest version over here www.patreon.com/posts/ui-cheats-v1-16-26240068
& put it into your Mods folder.
If it still does not work, you can try to delete some other mods (script mods, not cc) and see which one's the problematic one.

i know this video is from a long time ago, but I still wanted to ask just in case.
I have a mod by luumia that will only work in one old save file but none of my new ones. I've removed them and played the game to make sure it wasn't a glitch, then readded them with no problem to my old file. In every new file I create, the luumia mod does not show up at all.
Other mods work fine on all save files.

Hello there! There's no such thing, there are Simmers out there who play Sims with lots and lots of cc (over 10Gbs and even more!), the thing that you might be experiencing is that there is a broken cc/mod within that other half if that makes any sense! And I do have multiple fixes for that!
First off, try taking out all of your script mods from your Mods folder and check if your game works fine. If so, you probably need to download the updated versions for those and install them.
If that did not work, you can try to reset your EA folder and then place only updated versions for your mods, as shown in here: czcams.com/video/-pCFvTcqQnQ/video.html
Keep in mind that you should not delete the old EA folder in order to copy all of your saves, tray, screenshots & cc and paste those into your newly generated EA folder.
The other alternative would be scanning your Mods folder by using this BE mod & deleting your files that show up in your report list (here's a helpful tutorial: czcams.com/video/WncYhAAtKcM/video.html)
Last but not least, if you haven't tried this already, there's also the 50/50 method that allows you to determine the problematic cc: czcams.com/video/kp_fdyXQCfE/video.html

Hey! We can try this:
- check & google the game version that you have (when you open the game, on the startup menu, in the bottom right corner) and see the date online (the date of that game version)
- go into your Mods folder and check the dates (the column called date modified) , or you can right click on a file > properties > and you should be able to see the date
Now compare those 2 dates (the date of the game version and the date of that mod) and if they are close one to another, then those are compatible
But if you know that your game has been automatically updated in the meanwhile, that means we need to update the mods (when I’m saying mods, I’m talking about the files that end with ts4script as well as any other files that add features in the game, like traits, more interactions and so on)

I’ve deleted &’ redownload my mods but they still won’t work after the recent update.. they show up in the startup box but not in the actual game any advice on how to fix that ?

I have tried a lot of these, in addition to deleting the "options" file, repairing the game, restarting etc. I just tried to rename the Mods file, and restarted the game; unfortunately I don't have a new Mods file. I repaired after this as well, but nothing different. Do you know why a new Mod file will not be formed? I guess the last resort would be backing everything up and starting all over. Any other suggestions? Thank you!
Did you rename it into Mods old? Also, did you rename it with your game closed? The Mods folder that you need to rename should be located in Docs/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4, let me know if I could be of help!

@@serra9941 this was my issue and what helped was reinstalling the sims. I didn’t have the resource.cfg document, so that’s why my stuff wasn’t showing up.

Hello there! So those won't work/show up unless they are put into your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods folder. You'll need to copy those there, I guess you'll have to install the game onto your external drive if you want to have those Mods in there (but also put in the right place, namely the Mods folder within the EA folder), but I'm not 100% sure if it works this way
silly resource thing. I was using an external hard drive and it went on my pc instead of hard drive! So I had to create a junction to fix it since it went on my pc! Thank you sooo much!!

Mostly mod conflict when it show up but didnt work, easy way delete all mod, copy one by one scan with mod detector some mod part ready, some part conflict. Delete mod conflict Download new mod but some part mod still conflict ? Why?

does anyone else have the glitch wear script mods (completely updated, downloaded correctly) are showing up as installed in game notifications but ones like extreme violence, slice of life, etc dont show up as an option for your sim to interact with?
So did you update your game?
In order for your mods to work properly, please check if:
1. The version of the mods is compatible with your game version (basically if you have the latest game update you should also download the latest update for your mods!)
2. You've unzipped your script mods before putting them into your Mods folder (if those do end in rar/zip)
3. You've put your mods in your MAIN mods folder, not into a subfolder that you've created yourself
4. You've enabled script mods & cc in your game
5. You have the resource cfg file inside your Mods folder
If those don't help you out, we can also try to reset your Mods folder!

@@lilla-4974 omg.. so what happened was literally i transferred my mods folder to a deforested drive in a new folder and instead of transferring all my mods I transferred the whol folder.. it was a folder inside of a folder and they couldn’t read the script file🤦🏽♀️

sucks, my mod says its valid for the version of sims 4 i'm currently running, it's the most up to date mod from this month. i've unzipped the files and put them in the correct mods folder but everytime i reboot sims 4 it says mods have been disabled. i activate again, it says you need to restart the game for mods to be activated and i get the same error message when i restart
This is what works for me when mods are not showing up/mods options don’t work:
-make sure you have mods & cc enabled in game options > apply changes > exit game
- rename your mods folder into mods old
- open game & exit it straightaway
- a new mods folder will pop up (if it does not, then open the game once again, enable mods and cc, apply, exit, reopen game, exit)
- copy CC only (clothes, accessories, build items) from your Mods old
so don’t copy any mods/files that end with ts4script
- paste those CC into your new Mods folder
- delete the localthumbcache file from the TS4 folder (this is going to clear our game’s cache)

I recommend going into whatever program you use to launch the game and trying to repair the game files. If you don’t know how to repair them you can look up “how to repair sims 4 files” and it should be a tutorial showing how! Hope it helps
okay so im having a problem, i followed a tutorial, the mod shows up at the home screen but i dont get the green pop up when i load into the game and dont see the mod anywhere, the cc setting is on and script is on
What mod are you trying to use? Did you unzip it beforehand (using Winrar/7zip for Windows or just by double clicking it - if you're on MAC)? Did you put it into the main Mods folder?

Did we unzip the cc before putting them into the mods folder? If the cc ends with rar/zip or if it says that’s an archive, we need to use either Winrar (for windows) or double click on that file to get the files that are inside

Hello there! So do you use any script mods? Have you tried to delete those (eg. UI cheats, MCCC, Slice of Life, WW and so on) & install the latest versions for them?
If that does not work, you might wanna try to reset your Mods folder :)
I have been struggling so hard to get all my mods in the game :( I have 7 zip and winzip and i use them both and still only a couple mods show up in my game. I tried the method making renaming the mods folder but my game didn't generate a new mods folder and I just bought this game. Hello there!
You could try to reset your Electronic Arts folder. Don't worry, I know it sounds a bit scary, but you won't lose anything if you do it as follows!
1. Rename your Electronic Arts folder into Electronic Arts folder (with your game completely closed & don't delete it!!)
2. Open your game
3. Close your game straightaway
4. A new EA folder should pop up
5. Go into your old EA folder > The Sims 4 > Saves > select all files + copy
6. Go into your new EA folder > The Sims 4 > Saves > paste your files
The same thing needs to be done with your Tray and Screenshots files (go back into your EA old and copy your Tray files and then paste those into your new Tray folder and so on)
7. As for your mods & cc, please try not to copy any of your old SCRIPT mods. Try to redownload those and then install them into your new EA > The Sims 4 > Mods folder
Most of your old cc should be fine, so you can copy those from your old Mods folder.

Some of my mods are working and some aren’t. I did what you showed in this video and it did not work. Some of my mods are showing up in the custom content file when I go on sims 4.
If some script files are showing in the cc section, that shows us that there might be some files that need to be unzipped
Do those end with rar/zip? Or are there any files that are archive files inside the mods folder?
Also, some mods do appear in the cc section since they have files ending with package (which is the extension for a cc file)

1. Did you update your game? If so, did you also update your script mods?
2. Did you enable mods & cc after updating your mods?
If updating your mods (removing the old ones & putting the latest versions in your Mods folder) did not work, you can do this:
1. Make sure you have mods&cc enabled in your game > close your game
2. Rename your Mods folder into Mods old (but keep your Mods old folder bcs we'll need it later on)
3. Open your game & close it straightaway
4. A new Mods folder should pop up
5. Copy all of your cc (but no script mods!!) from your Mods old to the new Mods folder
6. Download the latest versions for your script mods
7. Put your script mods into your new Mods folder

1. Remove the pc & then place a new one (in build mode)
2. Hit ctrl shift c at the same time & type in 'testingcheats true' > enter > ctrl shift c once again > shift click your computer and select the option 'reset object'

3. Move your family to a new lot and see if your pc works there

hii!! im so sorry to bother u but would u possibly be able to help me? i went into settings bc my mods werent showing up ingame. i went into settings and none of the settings were showing up, i restarted the game it it still wouldnt show up. its perfectly fine if u dont know :)
The same thing happened to me the other day, funny enough! So all you need to do is to rename your Mods folder in 'Mods old' (with all apps closed), open your game, close it straightaway and then a new Mods folder should pop up. Do not put any old script mods in there, just make sure you redownload your mods & then put them into your new Mods folder. As far as cc goes, you can try to add your cc back, but if your settings are still messed up, then you know there's an issue with your cc and you should get rid of the problematic ones. Hope it all makes sense, let me know if it works! 🤗

I’m on MAC… everything completely newly installed game and mods [unzipped] and already in the mod folder [only one folder deep] … I enabled everything in the player options… but it’s like they don’t exist … nothing shows up… idk what to do 🥹

Just so we double check things!
1. Do we have all of our cc into the main Mods folder (if there are some cc placed in subfolders that might be called clothes, furniture, makeup, accessories and so on, some of them might not show up!)
So it's best to copy + paste all of them from that subfolder into the main Mods folder
I know it might get a bit unorganized, but some cc do need to be put directly into the Mods folder in order to show up!
2. Did we unzip all those cc files?
(Are there any archive files or files that end with rar or zip into our mods folder? If so, we need to use a file extractor program to open that file, extract those files and then drag & drop them into the main Mods folder)
3. Do the mods options not stay enabled?
If they don't & if we ALSO updated the game, it's really important to delete all the script mods (aka things that change certain gameplay features, such as mccc, ui, more columns) & install the updates for them

Hey there!! Can you please tell me if the following option shows up in your Origin? So if you right click on Sims in your Origin > go to properties > Advanced Launch Options > click on the The Sims 4 32bit legacy edition > is there any other option underneath that one that's called The Sims 4 64 bit?
If so, can you try to switch to this one, apply changes and see if your mods work this way?
so i dont think my sims is even using my files i changed name to mods old and no new folder was made i also dont have i only have the folders

My game wont enable script mods and i dont know how to fix it, i go into the game options and click enable i save it then leave to restart game but when i join the game again it says script mods are disabled and i worry if i uninstall it from origin i wont be able to get it back as i dont have the product code
So sorry to hear that! Sooo basically there's one more way that you could try to enable mods & cc that involves opening your Options.ini file & changing the value of script mods to another one.

I’ve done everything even if I have no mods in my game my swatches still won’t work. Anyone else having this problem I’ve repaired my game & redownloaded it. Also it won’t load any of my recent saves except for the new saves after the update. All my mods are loading & working except I can’t get the swatches to come up or use any of the swatches except the first option.
Do you use More Columns? If so, have you tried to remove it & install the latest version for it?
One more thing you could try to do is to go into Game Options > Accesibility > adjust the UI slider until your UI in CAS looks fine.
Regarding your mods, you can try to reset your Mods folder as follows:

I NEED HELPP I downloaded sims more than a week ago and I wanted to download mods and was half successful. :\ On the startup screen it shows that all my mods are in game but when I go in to edit my sims the clothing I've been told is DOWNLOADED isn't there, and when I go to filter search to see if it hides it or smth it doesn't show that I have custom content. I'm a new player and really like sims so far but Ive had so many issues even getting to where I am now, any help is appreciated! 😭😭

Did you unzip your mods (if you're on Windows, you can do this using Winrar/7 zip or if you're a Mac user, you can double click on that file) and then drag those unzipped files into your Mods folder? Like in your main Mods folder, not into a subfolder?

Today, I downloaded a few new mods and I tried to play my game but all of the mods are gone!!! I enabled the mods and the script mods over and over again with also restarting the game many times. I've repaired the game and went back in the game and still didn't see my mods and it's so far been this way all day!!! There has to be something that I'm doing wrong or maybe Origin is just having one of it's bad days smh!!!! There was an update to sims 4 but that was a few days ago and of course took care of that. I put my mods in a new folder. I have pc!!! Should I repair or update my game to solve the issue???

Are you using cc/regular computers in your game? Does this happen in all of your houses? Have you tried to move out your Sim and see if this issue persists?
I did everything and still nothing.. it is like my game does not see them
i just started putting mods in my sims 4, but it just wont work- I can see them in the little thing with the script mods, but it wont actually use them. like if i use mcc, it says it right there in game that its in the game, but i never get to actually use the mod because it wont work
Hello there! Are you on Windows/MAC? Did you unzip the files for your MCC mod before putting it into your Mods folder?

@@ravenswind6653 then that means that you do have the option that lets you see the extensions of your files disabled on your Windows. You can do this:
1. Open the file explorer options
2. Select the View tab
3. Deselect the 'hide extensions for known file types'
If your mods do have the rar/zip extension, you'll need to unzip those files using a file extractor program (such as Winrar) and then put those files into your Mods folder.

Is your whole menu messed up?
You can try to rename your Mods folder into Mods old (with your game completely closed) and do NOT delete your Mods old folder as you'll need to copy your files from there > open your game > close it straightaway > a new Mods folder should pop up. Here you need to paste all of your files that you have in your Mods old folder (but make sure you get rid of any outdated script mods that you might have beforehand and install the latest versions for them in the new Mods folder)
Then open your game & everything should be good to go

Do your game options tend to disable? Do you still have the enable custom content & script mods allowed boxes ticked?

I FIGURED OUT WHY MINE WASNT WORKING, PLEASE READ JUST INCASE!! .... So I have an external SSD drive in which I like to store my games to keep my macbook free of space. MODS MUST BE ON YOUR COMPUTER, and not on a hard drive. You need to have an electronics folder nested into your documents folder. WOW

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that! You can try to reset your EA folder and then place only updated versions for your mods, as shown in here: czcams.com/video/-pCFvTcqQnQ/video.html
Keep in mind that you should not delete the old EA folder in order to copy all of your saves, tray, screenshots & cc and paste those into your newly generated EA folder.

Hello there! Did you unzip your mods before putting them into your Mods folder? Also, did you check that your mods don't require you to own a pack that you might not have installed?
@@Darielle yes my mods are unzipped and MC command, extreme violence, UI cheats ect. arrent pack spesiific as far as I know
@@wionnresl8287 did you enable mods, cc as well as script mods in your game options (two boxes need to be ticked)? You can also try to redownload & reinstall them and see if those work! Do you also have the resource cfg file inside your Mods folder?
