I think the update caused this
Could be due to that, but also make sure you don’t have any outdated script mods! I always write down all of my ts4script mods on a notes app & then delete all files that end with ts4script from the mods folder
That and/or resetting the Mods folder does wonders 🙏

Everything is loading fine except for CAS which is annoying Cz that’s where all the new updates are. Can’t wait for tmrws update to be over.
I agree. The wait times are fine for me too except CAS . Glad to know it’s not my cc and mods screwing me over.

I repaired the game 3 times, deleted all my mods folder, cleared the cache, nothings working…might as well delete the whole game.
Here’s what will help you
1. Go into Documents
2. Right click the Electronic Arts Folder
3. Rename it into Electronic Arts Old
(Keep it there, don’t remove it)
4. Open your game (now it should open since we reset our EA folder)
5. Time to put our files back into the game so close the game completely (you should notice a new EA folder in your Docs, that’s where we are gonna put our files)
6. Go into the EA old
7. the Sims 4 > Saves folder > select all files > copy
8. Go into the new EA folder > TS4 > Saves folder > paste all of your files there
9. The same thing applies to our Tray, Screenshots and cc!
So
10. Go into the EA old > TS4 > Tray folder > select all files > copy
11. Go into the new EA > The Sims 4 > Tray folder > paste all files
Do the same with your Mods & Screenshots! If you do not have those, then skip this step
PS. make sure we don’t copy any mods (aka files that end with ts4script or any kind of functional cc - you can tell by their names, things like restaurant mods, life mods, school mods, toddler mods etc)
Clothes, makeup, accessories, build cc can be copied!
Once we’re done copying all those files into the new EA folder, we can open the game & it should work!

cas still has an endless loading screen but the others are fixed :)
Do you use more columns? Could be related to that one, so it needs to be deleted & updated
Also, any kind of ui mod can pose a problem in the game
I’ve reset the game and I don’t have any mods at all just cc that i’ve already cleaned out but the game won’t stop loading when i go on cas or try to edit one of my sims. Its been like this for a few days probably because of the update idk what to do

@@Darielle I reset the electronic arts folder and the mods folder and it’s still the same :( i’m not sure what else to do i’ve freed up lots of space on my pc too just in case it was bc i was low on disc space but it’s still not working properly in cas

Been playing the game all day with tons of mods and just a few minutes ago game crashed and now I’m stuck on loading, haven’t tried running no mods but I literally was just playing with no issues
Try to reset the mods folder
1. Enable cc & mods in the game (game options)
2. Apply changes (if those do not apply, i have a fix for that czcams.com/video/ejP49zTg7FM/video.html > close game
3. Rename the Mods folder into Mods old (keep the Mods old folder in your TS4 folder) - do this with your game completely closed
4. Remove these files from The Sims 4 folder: localthumbcache & gameversion (this way we remove any temporary corrupted mod files, similar to getting rid of cache!)
5. Launch the game & close it rightaway
6. A new Mods folder should appear in TS4 folder (make sure it has the resource.cfg file inside!)
7. Copy all of your cc - clothes and furniture - (but no script mods or functional cc, things like life mods, restaurant mods etc) from your Mods old to the newly generated Mods folder
8. Download the updates for the mods (if there are any! If there are not, we gotta be patient a bit & wait till those updates get released🙏)
9. Place your updated script mods into your newly generated Mods folder
this fixed the white screen in cas but when i load a save its still stuck on the loading screen 😭

i really think that is the new update that is doing this, i hate it
It’s mostly due to broken mods/cc, so if you have any of these mods installed, please try to remove them (more columns, ui cheats, mccc, Ww, unlimited likes and dislikes, more traits)

Nooo don’t say this!! From now on, you can activate the auto save option from mccc, but make sure you keep your mc command center updated at all times

When I remove the Mod folder, the game load real quick and the UI build mode is still appear. But if I put the Mod folder back, the game load quite slow and the UI build mod did not appear. So I think maybe some of my CC is outdated or broken. Then I try an each folder in Mod folder, the game is normal ??? 🥲🥹 But if I put a whole Mod folder back, the game taking so long and the UI build mode disappear again 🥲😭 Did anyone got the same issue like me ?? 😭😭
Hiya!! The broken script mods usually act like this, so please make sure that you write down the names of all ts4script files & delete all files & then try to launch the game.
If it works, it means that those mods need to be updated & reinstalled (only if they have been released this month)
Do you have sims national bank installed ... I removed this from my game and it fixed the issue I was having that was what you were describing. I'm really heavy on my mods so anything I use that's like a script mod like this. I have a word document in alphabetical order and I go through it once a month and check for updates from the creators and replace files. This has helped me identify which scrip mods are out of date and which are not. Sounds like a lengthy thing to do but I have over 100GB of mods and it barely takes me an hour to do because I have all the links ready! Hope this helps :)

I did the second folder thing and the game loads like normal now but all my cc gone it won’t load even with the folder there
creating new sim working, i got stucked on loading screen when i want to travel........
i've tried this, with and without cc and it still keeps loading infinitely. i can't delete the mods as all of my builds/sims have mods in them and i don't want to lose that😭
Please try to delete at least the ones that end with ts4script, as well as more columns, ui cheats, Ww & more traits
Those are usually the ones that pose an issue in the game 🙏

Please try resetting the Mods folder, that’s what I do after every single update and it does wonders
I’m going to write down the steps here
It works if you have mods in the game/you previously had broken mods & deleted them but the game is still not working properly

force quit the app , if you have a mac just go to the home page & click the apple icon , then force quit & select the sims 4
ever since the new update it automatically updated for me and i recovered my mods and everything but when it comes to editing my sims it stuck on the loading screen, i have the road to fame and slice of life mods do you think that caused it?

@@zmxxv2295 I get you 🙏 then disabling then within the app should do the job, that paired with updating them so that they are compatible with the latest version of the game
If that does not work either, then resetting the mods folder is the way to go

I also have a problem with moving a certain sim into my household and it gets stuck on the screen that shows money transfer & which sim u want to move in :( but yes definitely when I edit or change my sim into new outfits, the loading takes forever :( ever since I updated the game.

My sims lets me into the game and to my save file but is stuck on pause. It also won't let me access save or manage worlds. I have tried everything from verifying steam files, reinstalling the game and even removing mods completely and the issue is still not solved. I even tried a new save file and the sims still won't unpause. I'm so sad because I invested so much time into my sims family and now I can't play anymore :(
Hiya, for me the best fix ever for any kind of issue/glitch in the sims 4 is resetting the Ea folder. That means that we’re going to keep the current Electronic Arts folder as a backup and then the game is going to generate a brand new one for us, one that is fresh and good to go. There will be created all of our saves from now on
I’ll write the steps down below, let me know how it all goes, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you 🙏✨
1. Go into Documents

I'm having the same issue as most of the other comments here, everything works fine with my cc expect for my CAS. The loading screen just keeps on going and going. I have wicked whims and the columns mod could that be why CAS won't load? I've tried opening it from new game and by clicking modify in cas, nothing is making it load any quicker
I'm still struggling with this; I have managed to work on some things but still struggling with getting into CAS or loading a lot and coming out of it after saving. I removed WW, Columns, MCC and UI. Non of these had an impact with the issue so I put them all back. I'm still working through some other script mods that could cause this like TOOL and I know sims national bank has caused issues in the past but not the main one like the add on too it.

Hiya! But did you use mods in the past? Bcs even though you deleted them, there might be some corrupted remnants there

I’ve restarted this video a million times n I’m still confused on what u did to the folder. Did u only rename it? Or did u copy it?
Yes, I did rename it, then opened the game, enabled the 2 options related to mods & cc (in Game options > other), applied changes, closed the game
Opened the game once again to check if those 2 options in Game Options > Other stayed ticked/enabled, closed the game once again and the new folder appeared
The new folder will only appear if those mods settings stay enabled during the process

That thing is that i cant exit the game unless i restart my computer
If you’re on windows you can use task manager
Ctrl shift c at the same time > task manager > select the sims 4 > end task
cas doesn't work at all for me whether its the fulleditmode cheat or the command center it wont load. i don't have any mods that are for cas or anything and its not my mods that's causing the problem it is the update that has completely messed the game. before cas broke the preferences menu was missing there was nothing there then suddenly this update happens and now cas is broke and ea aren't moving their asses to get it fixed.

How do I close or quit the game when its like this? It wont let me from steam.
If you’re on windows, you can press ctrl alt del at the same time > task manager > select the sims 4 > end task (keep in mind that this won’t ensure the fact that your game will be saved aka your save that you’re currently playing)

So... I have the same problem but it only affects me when I load one house that I downloaded off a web. The build had too many stacked leaves and everything that is too heavy for the game to handle. I can go to it using travel but I can't even delete it. Cause when I try to do so it can't even save cause it gets stuck too or if I try to delete the whole lot its just stuck loading again. Is there a way to delete this one lot by files or something?? Pls help. Like I could delete the objects one by one carefully then save then restart if it crashes again but its gonna take FOREVER

today I deleted all mods. I tried the game, went to the mirror to change sim & loading screen STILL TAKES FOREVER after dressing sim up :( sucks cos I reinstalled my game and repaired and it still don't work ..

If you did have mods up until now & deleted then, resetting the mods folder will do, since there might be some broken remnants there

I put all of them into the new mods folder and deleted the old one , I realized I had 2,757 mods installed , no wonder my games laggy
My issue is the characters who I don’t use, like townies, load with ease. My households tho w my mods all can’t load tho lol

I'm able to launch the game and get past the loading screen to where you can click the "PLAY" button, but once I hit play, it just goes into an endless loop of the loading screen. However it doesn't do this when I remove my mods folder. I'm assuming that means there is a broken mod within my mod folder thats preventing me to play? Or is this something other people are experiencing since the update? I don't have the MCC, but I updated the ui cheats so that isn't a problem. When you say WW, do you just mean any of the WW animation mods?

@@Vaeh1208 i did. mine was qmbibi mods, also any trait mods. i also happened to have a corrupted save file for an outdated wicked whims so i had to move my entire sims 4 folder with the tray files, mods, etc to desktop and try again and slowly add mods back and make sure to only add updated ones
