So make sure you have mods & cc enabled beforehand, this is key, in case you did not have those enabled, you can enable them afterwards, apply changes, exit game, launch game, exit game once again and it should appear

Yes, it is applicable for anything as long as you have issues in the game due to broken mods since there might be some other mod that is also broken First things first, search the ui in the search bar inside your Mods folder, delete it and if the issue persists, then there might be another broken mod inside the Mods folder that needs to be deleted as well

Generally, all mods that end with ts4script need to be deleted & updated after every single game update

The main issue in the game is represented by all those mods that end with ts4script and we can search them by typing inside the search bar (in the Mods folder) ts4script & only writing those down so that we know what mods we need to reinstall (but ONLY if they have been updated, so pay attention to the release date)

Most cc (aka clothes and furniture) should be good to go, like I said it’s only ts4script mods that pose a problem

The best solution for that in my experience is resetting the EA folder (so keeping the current one as a backup & getting another one so that the game functions properly)

I’m going to write down the steps for that here

1. Go into Documents 2. Right click the Electronic Arts Folder 3. Rename it into Electronic Arts Old (Keep it there, don’t remove it) 4. Open your game (now it should open since we reset our EA folder) 5. Time to put our files back into the game so close the game completely (you should notice a new EA folder in your Docs, that’s where we are gonna put our files) 6. Go into the EA old 7. the Sims 4 > Saves folder > select all files > copy 8. Go into the new EA folder > TS4 > Saves folder > paste all of your files there 9. The same thing applies to our Tray, Screenshots and cc! So 10. Go into the EA old > TS4 > Tray folder > select all files > copy 11. Go into the new EA > The Sims 4 > Tray folder > paste all files Do the same with your Mods & Screenshots! If you do not have those, then skip this step PS. make sure we don’t copy any mods (aka files that end with ts4script or any kind of functional cc - you can tell by their names, things like restaurant mods, life mods, school mods, toddler mods etc) Clothes, makeup, accessories, build cc can be copied! Once we’re done copying all those files into the new EA folder, we can open the game & it should work!

This means that we’re still gonna have the current mods folder as a backup, but the game is going to generate a new one with no corrupted files in it, where we’re going to put only updated mods

That’s amazing!! There should not be any issues in regards to that since it’s only a trait mod, not clothing or sth else that will completely change the sim, so everything should be good to go

If you cannot access game options in order to turn on cc&mods, then skip step 1 & do it after step 3, apply changes, exit game, reopen it, exit it once again in order for the new Mods folder to show up

Ahh yesss it’s almost always related to the mods, especially the ones that end with ts4script (the ones that add features in the game)

Could be due to mccc, more columns, ui cheats, those need to be deleted & updated

The ts4script files are usually the ones that pose a problem, so if you have them, write their names down, delete them & install the latest updates

Hiya!! The broken script mods usually act like this, so please make sure that you write down the names of all ts4script files & delete all files & then try to launch the game. If it works, it means that those mods need to be updated & reinstalled (only if they have been released this month)

Uninstalling & re-downloading the EA app from the official website should help Make sure you know your credentials before logging out

Could be due to that, but also make sure you don’t have any outdated script mods! I always write down all of my ts4script mods on a notes app & then delete all files that end with ts4script from the mods folder That and/or resetting the Mods folder does wonders 🙏

No problem if you don’t have one, I just mentioned it in case that you have it, sometimes the Onedrive backs up the Mods folder/EA folder & when we want to delete certain files, we confuse the right Mods folder (located in Documents) with the one in OneDrive, which has no effect on the game 🙏

You can get it by renaming the actual Mods folder, opening the game, enabling the mods & cc, apply changes, exit game, reopen it, exit once again

Yes, the Mods folder will basically function in the same way, it’s just a new folder that has no broken files inside of it & also has the resource cfg file fresh & not corrupted (aka will make sure that your mods & cc are being recognised by the game)

If you want to use the same mods in your game, then yes, you can look them up by googling their names and downloading them (if you do remember what their names are)

Remove these files from The Sims 4 folder: localthumbcache & gameversion (this way we remove any temporary corrupted mod files, similar to getting rid of cache!) 5. Launch the game & close it rightaway 6. A new Mods folder should appear in TS4 folder (make sure it has the resource.cfg file inside!) 7. Copy all of your cc - clothes and furniture - (but no script mods or functional cc, things like life mods, restaurant mods etc) from your Mods old to the newly generated Mods folder 8. Download the updates for the mods (if there are any! If there are not, we gotta be patient a bit & wait till those updates get released🙏) 9. It’s not mandatory to have all cc in order, just to be sure that they all show up, it’s best to have all of them into the main mods folder (aka not into subfolders in order to organise them, for instance, if you have some clothes, makeup & accessories folders inside the mods folder, some cc won’t show up if they are one folder deep, so it’s best to have all files, mods & cc into the main mods folder)

Will do! For now, the best advice for that is resetting the mods folder. I’m going to write down the steps for that

1. Turn on cc & mods (in this case, do step 1&2 after step 3, launch game, exit game, launch it & exit it once again) 2. Apply changes (if those do not apply, i have a fix for that czcams.com/video/ejP49zTg7FM/video.html > close game 3. Rename the Mods folder into Mods old (keep the Mods old folder in your TS4 folder) - do this with your game completely closed 4.
