wait so im a little confused, so to be clear there isn't supposed to be any script files in the mods folder?
it's recommended to put it in a subfolder!
Whenever I try to play my sims game, it always says “error to load” or something like it. That, or when I tap the household and go into gameplay my sims have all disappeared! It’s definitely in my mods folder, because when I take it out it’s fine! I just can’t figure out which mod it is. I’m scared I’m gonna have to start all over!
i have 10,003 cc files so i'm at a loss on what to do but i'm in this same situation! 😭
I deleted my ts4 files everything but now my game won’t create a new game folder to play so I can’t even play the game
Is it possible that we have some corrupted files in the game?
The best solution for that in my experience is resetting the EA folder (so keeping the current one as a backup & getting another one so that the game functions properly)
I’m going to write down the steps for that here
1. Go into Documents
2. Right click the Electronic Arts Folder
3. Rename it into Electronic Arts Old
(Keep it there, don’t remove it)
4. Open your game (now it should open since we reset our EA folder)
5. Time to put our files back into the game so close the game completely (you should notice a new EA folder in your Docs, that’s where we are gonna put our files)
6. Go into the EA old
7. the Sims 4 > Saves folder > select all files > copy
8. Go into the new EA folder > TS4 > Saves folder > paste all of your files there
9. The same thing applies to our Tray, Screenshots and cc!
So
10. Go into the EA old > TS4 > Tray folder > select all files > copy
11. Go into the new EA > The Sims 4 > Tray folder > paste all files
Do the same with your Mods & Screenshots! If you do not have those, then skip this step
PS. make sure we don’t copy any mods (aka files that end with ts4script or any kind of functional cc - you can tell by their names, things like restaurant mods, life mods, school mods, toddler mods etc)
Clothes, makeup, accessories, build cc can be copied!
Once we’re done copying all those files into the new EA folder, we can open the game & it should work!

first of all youre an angel. but i deleted all the broken mods but trying to load a game or open CAS still gives a white screen
@@3daniku hiya!! Sending lots of good thoughts your way 🙏 sometimes just deleting the mods won’t do so what really helps is resetting the mods folder
This means that we’re still gonna have the current mods folder as a backup, but the game is going to generate a new one with no corrupted files in it, where we’re going to put only updated mods
Here are the steps for resetting it
1. Turn on cc & mods
2. Apply changes (if those do not apply, i have a fix for that czcams.com/video/ejP49zTg7FM/video.html > close game
3. Rename the Mods folder into Mods old (keep the Mods old folder in your TS4 folder) - do this with your game completely closed
4. Remove these files from The Sims 4 folder: localthumbcache & gameversion (this way we remove any temporary corrupted mod files, similar to getting rid of cache!)
5. Launch the game & close it rightaway
6. A new Mods folder should appear in TS4 folder (make sure it has the resource.cfg file inside!)
7. Copy all of your cc - clothes and furniture - (but no script mods or functional cc, things like life mods, restaurant mods etc) from your Mods old to the newly generated Mods folder
8. Download the updates for the mods (if there are any! If there are not, we gotta be patient a bit & wait till those updates get released🙏)
9. Place your updated script mods into your newly generated Mods folder

@@Dariellehello, thank you sm it worked🖤 i also did manage to find the mod that was breaking the game (which was an added traits mod) if i load a game with a sim that had traits from that mod will there be any issues?
That’s amazing!! There should not be any issues in regards to that since it’s only a trait mod, not clothing or sth else that will completely change the sim, so everything should be good to go

If you updated the game and if you installed the latest version for it AFTER update, then it’s no need
However, some mods can interfere with the game (that are broken) and so the best solution is resetting the Mods folder, for me it always does wonders

When i have things break or act up i just always go to my cursefordge and click "update all" then gp back into my game ALL FIXED
I've been trying to play my sims 4 for the past couple of days. What's stopping me is whenever I click on a sim, nothing comes up. My sims can't communicate with each other and also won't clean the dishes. It's been doing that ever since the last update and it's soooo annoying!
That could be due to having broken mods in sims 4
That’s what I do after every single update and it works for me!
- opening the Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods folder
- searching inside the search bar (of your mods folder) ts4script
- writing down the name of each mod (on your notes app)
- deleting all those ts4script mods that appeared in the search results
- renaming the mods folder into mods old (this is going to reset our mods folder, so we’re going to have the mods old as a backup folder for our cc & mods - so keep it there - and another new mods folder that we’re going to use to install the UPDATED mods)
- open the game > go to game options > other > allow script mods & enable mods cc (tick those 2 boxes)
- apply changes > exit the game straightaway
- launch the game once again > check if those mods options stayed enabled > if so, close it straightaway
- a new mods folder should appear in your EA folder
- google your mods (from that list) & only install the UPDATED ones in the NEW mods folder
- as for the cc (the files that end with package), you can go into the mods old & copy all those files + paste them into your new mods folder
@@Darielle Okay, so how do you update the mods? My brain went to la la land after I renamed the mods folder...........sorry about that
You google the name of the mod (for instance, mc command center), access the website, download the latest file .
Most mods are zipped (the mc one is definitely zipped, so we need to unzip it by double clicking on it - if you’re on windows 11/Mac, but if you’re on windows 10 or older, you need a program called Winrar to drag and drop that mod & then copy the files that are inside that file if I made sense!)
Then copy + paste those files inside that archive into the new mods folder

@@Darielle I've deleted the script mods, I don't know where the note pad or whatever it's called thing is, I've followed every instruction. My sims are still not communicating with each other and still not washing the dishes. I deeply fear ruining my sim family for like the 3rd time and having to start all over again just because I did something not very smart. I'm either gonna just give up on this and play sims 3 or 2 or I just wish that someone who knows what all to do could teach me what to do in person. I'm not blaming you at all. You're great!!! I'm just very slow when it comes to this stuff.

I’m having the problem that when I try to play a specific family it says “error code 102something, try relaunching the game” I have repaired the game in EA, I have done everything in this video but it doesn’t work. I can edit the family in CAS and play all other families, Idk what to do 😭
Have you tried renaming the mods folder into mods old? Then opening the game, going into other > script mods & cc (enable those 2), apply changes, exit game, relaunch it & exit it once again
A new mods folder will pop up in the EA folder
Try to play your game without mods for a bit and see if it works
Then you can search the updates for each script mod from the mods old folder & install those into the new mods folder

@@Darielle I can access my game finally but I really miss MCCC and UI cheats.. It doesn't feel the same playing without those mod.. I'm gonna come back playing sims 4 after every mod is updated I guess.. Pandasama mod is also causing some problem with the new update 😮💨😮💨

GIRL, I've been having the same issues. Tbh deleting more columns mods and any scripts does help. My issue now is that in build mode it won't save after I put any miscellanous item...it just loads on and on TvT raa
@@nev0149 try deleting thumb cache something.. Sometimes my loading screen took forever to load and I just delete that cache and it works fine

after re putting the ts4 mods in the new like empty mod folder will it all still work in the game even tho it’s not in the same folder as it was in before? and what do i do with the mods i deleted do i still have to look them up because i don’t know how to still
Yes, the Mods folder will basically function in the same way, it’s just a new folder that has no broken files inside of it & also has the resource cfg file fresh & not corrupted (aka will make sure that your mods & cc are being recognised by the game)
If you want to use the same mods in your game, then yes, you can look them up by googling their names and downloading them (if you do remember what their names are)
My game keeps kicking me off saying and update is required and to visit the game hub and so far this is the only thing that has worked. Goodbye wicked whims😂
Ahhh some mods really pose a problem in the game! But if there are updates for them, this should not pose an issue

hello! i have the 102 problem, i renamed the mod file to old mods and tried to play, and it actually worked... but now what do i do? how do i find the broken mod? i have to try put them out of the mod file one by one? TT
Hi! I've used this video to help before and has worked in the past. So I've come back to try get it to help me again; I've removed all my ts4script and mc files , but the sims 4 physically wont open, however if i put my mods folder onto my desktop and run the sims without any mods it runs smoothly, i just don't know what mod is broken because I've followed all your steps but it just won't let my game open and i can't get onto it at all! If you have any advice on what to do it would be much appreciated! :)

The mods that could be broken are ww, mccc, ui cheats, more columns, these are the main ones, alongside the functional cc’s

By following the tutorial will the mods still be ok?
By doing this, we are writing down the mods that we’re currently using & deleting the corrupted ones. Afterwards, keeping that list in mind, we are going to google them & install the latest versions for them so that the game works without issues

Another thing I also recommend is resetting the Mods/EA folder

I downloaded anadius for all of the games packs , it worked but now I can’t get the cheat bar up when I press in the commands to get the cheat bar up (always worked before I downloaded the anadius) do u know what it is that needs to be deleted to try and fix this ?

Please Darielle i'm dying I just don't know how to play the sims 4 anymore. I have so many mods in my game that i literally can't live without them. Practically every time I enter the game, the icons like the mc commands icons and the ones in the traits, even the buttons such as the X to close the menu for example. I don't know if i explained myself clear, i'm italian. Please tell me if it can be fixed or not
