@@Darielle well, I did use a lot of CC and mods in a household, and the memory on my device isn't the best. What happens is I'll try to load the household, and the loading will take a good, like 10 minutes before the notif 'The game failed to load' appears with an error code, and sends me back to world select. Might be a memory issue more than anything, but the main mods installed were MC Command Center and WW (not ashamed to say it). I have tried to repair the game, but I sort of have, like two different Mods folders due to a failed attempt to redownload the Sims onto a hard drive. And it only reads the one on my device.
I get it!! For me whenever that error used to pop up, resetting the Mods folder really did the trick! That means that you simply rename the current mods folder into mods old (and keeping that mods old folder as a backup, so don’t delete it). Then, open the game and enable mods & cc in game options. Close the game. Reopen it, check if those mods settings stayed enabled. If so, exit the game once again and you should notice that there is a brand new Mods folder into the sims 4 folder. That’s the folder that you’re going to use from now on to install all of your mods, but only UPDATED mods (you can check the date of release & decide whether or not to downloaded, if it’s old, it’s better to stay away from installing it, but if it’s up to date, you’re good to go)
Hey, i know this isn’t really related but it’s important, i have a problem. My sims4 won’t open after I got g shade from a tutorial, i deleted every single trace of g shade and it still didn’t work. so I got a reshade. And guess what! It didn’t work.. so I deleted it, and it didn’t work after. I do have mods like, 60-120. Not to much. Most is gameplay modes. And rest is cc!! I have a Dells window computer, so it’s kinda slow. I don’t know what went wrong!! Can you help me fix this problem??😅😢
Resetting the mods folder always does the trick for me ✨ - opening the Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods folder - searching inside the search bar (of your mods folder) ts4script - writing down the name of each mod (on your notes app) - deleting all those ts4script mods that appeared in the search results - renaming the mods folder into mods old (this is going to reset our mods folder, so we’re going to have the mods old as a backup folder for our cc & mods - so keep it there - and another new mods folder that we’re going to use to install the UPDATED mods) - open the game > go to game options > other > allow script mods & enable mods cc (tick those 2 boxes) - apply changes > exit the game straightaway - launch the game once again > check if those mods options stayed enabled > if so, close it straightaway - a new mods folder should appear in your EA folder - google your mods (from that list) & only install the UPDATED ones in the NEW mods folder - as for the cc (the files that end with package), you can go into the mods old & copy all those files + paste them into your new mods folder
@@Darielle When I did this it said “The action can’t be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program” “Mods date created 10/17/2022” And told me to close the folder or file and try again?? And this happened on the changing the “Mods” to “Mods old” I don’t know what I did wrong!! 😅🥲😓

Remove these files from The Sims 4 folder: localthumbcache & gameversion (this way we remove any temporary corrupted mod files, similar to getting rid of cache!) 5. Launch the game & close it rightaway 6. A new Mods folder should appear in TS4 folder (make sure it has the resource.cfg file inside!) 7. Copy all of your cc - clothes and furniture - (but no script mods or functional cc, things like life mods, restaurant mods etc) from your Mods old to the newly generated Mods folder 8. Download the updates for the mods (if there are any! If there are not, we gotta be patient a bit & wait till those updates get released🙏) 9. Place your updated script mods into your newly generated Mods folder

Exactly, you’re right!! But make sure they are the latest versions (and that they have been updated this month/last month)
I remove all my mods and saved still not working 😢😢
Please also try to reset the mods folder
