This best croissant in paris video was way less violent than the last one I watched
🤣👍
I feel like I live in a Croissantless world, Thanks for making my mouth water😋
love this!
Wow, now I need a croissant 😍
You already ate all the leftovers from the video :O
Honestly, in France and Spain you can get top quality bread almost anywhere. I love it!
Merci Lucile! I will use this information if I ever get back to Paris! I have been a few times before and now feel that I probably was eating mass produced croissants but did not know it. I definitely would get up early and go to one of these that you recommend!
Thank you for this awesome video! I watched it before visiting Paris, and the Croissants at Mamiche are the best I've had in my entire life! The staff is also lovely. Sending gratitude and good energy your way! 😊
Merci beaucoup… I have suffered many terrible croissants on my frequent visits to France and now I am saved. I can now find the crunchy, buttery and fresh ones I love. Incidentally I prefer the 10th especially near the canal.
I enjoy fresh baked goods ! Thank you again for the wonderful tour and great knowledge too Lucy
You're welcome!
Hi Lucile! Thanks for another fun video! You definitely educate me about different foods and where they come from! I’m glad you’re enjoying your croissants!
Hi Alison, so good seeing you here :) Thank you for your nice comment as always!
@@LucileHR You’re welcome and thank you too Lucile!
Thank you so much for this video. Me and my daughter are staying in Paris just for four days, but we are tasting as many croissants as possible. And also croissant amande! Wow, what a treat! Everything tastes amazing here:-)
You have the most beautiful smile that lights the entire room.
Hi/Bonjour Lucile,
Thank you so much for these recommendations. I’ll be staying in the 10th when I visit Paris again in May, so this is very helpful. I’m looking forward to eating!
Bonjour and Hi :) I love the 10th and a lot of the places I recommended are nearby! I hope you have a really fun stay in Paris!
Almond croissants are my favorite!! ❤❤❤❤ Glad to know I will be able to get one
WOW! Your food looks so delicious, now I’m mouthwatering, friend. Thanks for your sharing ❤🥰😍
I love your experiential take on everything! You’re helping us Americans feel a little cooler!
Thank you :)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE a great croissant 🥐 cheers Lucile🥂
yummm!! :)
This was super fun and it made my mouth water lucky you living in Paris🎉
Thank you for watching :)
I made sure that the first thing I could do when learning French was being able to order bread! This video looks so delicious!
You have a good sense of priorities haha
Hi love to see videos on micro bites or super foods from 🇫🇷. Thanks for great video.
I was just in Paris a month ago, and getting a real, delicious Parisian croissant was so important to me.... that I literally missed my flight home because I refused to go to the airport without first grabbing a croissant 😂🥐 Luckily they were able to rebook me, so, totally worth it
Such a funny story!! Happy they were able to rebook you!
I've lived in Paris a couple of years ago and I'm a bit surprised. A couple of the places you recommend shouldnt be on this list! Stohrer is known for their old school pastries and Poilane is known for their sourdough bread. Both of their croissants are meh. The other places are well known establishments, nothing new here. Du pain et des idees is pretty old school but good. I went to Chez Munier but they served lunch and had 0 croissants. Couvrer- skip and go to l'eclair du genie instead, fantastic new wave croissant. Boulangerie Uopie also has great croissants. I just returned from Paris and also tried the French Bastards, very nice modern croissant. If you had one day to try different croissant you should go near canal st. Martin, you have Utopie, Liberte, du Pain et des Idees all near each other. Have a good day ❤ ❤❤❤
I love how this feels like a subtle response to that Luis video about croissants. Subscribed!
I love love the Luis video about croissants and I am very happy to be mentioned in the same sentence haha
Im going to Paris ,, first time next December , im going to stay for six weeks ,, nice to get imformation by a local ,,, thank you for the video ,,, ( I ve just suscribed to your channel)
Go to the French Bastards or l'eclair the genie, they are the best new boulangeries right now.
An original boulangerie is found in the 20ième, Le Bricheton. It has real traditional products. Another one worth mentioning is Au levain des Pyrénées.
« Du pain et des idées » it’s my fav ❤
This is why I keep goimg back to Paris.
:D
understanding you r in a relationship, as I feel your eye are so beautiful. I also love French breads and pastries. I love French baguette.
Bonjour Lucile, I knew watching this video would be a mistake. I've not had croissant, good or bad, in one year. Now I can not sleep. Tomorrow, croissants!! There must be one in this direction!
You are delightful!
Thanks very helpful, looking forward to trying some of these on an upcoming trip!
i love your videos makes me really want to visit France
Thank you for watching :)
Stohrer 😍
I like it too much ❤.
I believe that it’s the best Boulangerie in Paris .✅
Not only a croissant . U have to try the eclair , kouglof and desserts . It’s amazing WOW 😍😋
They are more famous for kouign amann than croissants you should try them
Now I have a mission when I’m in Paris in October.
love it :D
I'll be again in Paris next week. I was wondering if you had any other cool places to suggest. Also for savoury things and bread....
Love it!!!!
Thank you for sharing this , but I guessing if you no live close to one of those amazing boulangeries you find the nearest to you with good queues in the morning and you no be disappointed.
Both Yan Couvreur and Baptiste are some of my favorites (you got to love the Batignolles 😅)… besides the croissant, at Yan I usually have the Roulé Pistache Gianduja(c’est une dinguerie🎉) and at Baptiste the baguette aux graines(and the Éclair au café, and thé pain aux raisins, and thé croissant aux amandes, and…..well, the list goes on and on😅)
One thing that you touched on, and I really can’t wrap my head around is the pricing of bread and viennoiserie… I mean, how can they manage to deliver such quality in a handmade artisanal good for such a low price??
I’d be fine paying 4-5€ for such quality, that’s basically what I pay anywhere else…in London, a croissant in a artisanal French bakery goes for 4£+. Don’t get me wrong, I love paying 1-2€ for a artisanal croissant or a baguette…
My best theory is that after 1789, none DARED to raise the price of bread😂😂😂
The price is controlled by fear alone…and I LOVE IT
Miam miam miam!! I need to try your recommendations!
And absolutely for the prices, when we were living in NY we just gave up and ate bagels haha
Mamiche croissants were the best for me. Not far away from Bouillon Republique. Around 3pm there was even a queue at the entrance.
Strohler sold me yesterday's croissants at 11am (( but at least their babka (brioche ?) with chocolate and nuts was good
Chez Meunier croissants were fresh and good, but indeed not as buttery as Mamiche
BTW, here in Germany croissants with almonds are called Marzipan Croissant)))
Perfect timing! I am in Paris right now and will try your top croissant boulangeries! By the way, have you tried Cedric Grolet? Do you think it's good or just a hype?
Oh really cool :) Let me know which ones you end up trying!!
I have not tried Cedric Grolet because the line is too long! I feel our time is better used doing something else haha
I might do a video about it one day to see if it is worth the hype and report back though :)
Hi (Bonjour!) Lucille, what about if we have long layover... do you thing we can visit or enjoy some good breakfast there? Merci.
Bien sympas tes vidéos sur la France ;)
Merci :D
Very good video. Life without a good 🥐, a good 🥖 and a good 🧀 is not worth living. 🤣 😂
As tu déjà testé Land and Monkey, VG pâtisserie, Cloud Cake, Comptoir Veggie et autres lieux vegan?
Interesting how soft and creamy most of them seem. Here in California bakery croissants tend to have very crunchy exteriors.
Damn I wish there were bakerys like that here in L.A.! Great video! 💯
Thank you! :)
Lucy, are there unsafe places vistters should think about visiting?
Miam!! :)
I luv buddar too.
The kind of croissants we have in Brazil looks like the industrialized ones in this videos. And, yes, we do stuff them but ours it is not buttery like in France.
Is Mamiche open? It says on Google that it is temporarily closed?
Krasaaaaaaawn
Do youi have to ask for a croissant au beurre, I was told that. Thx
This morning I had marmalade on toast with a cup of Milo and reminisced about my French travels and bakery breakfasts. Do you know Eugene and Frederique?
No I don't know them, are they a bakery?? :)
No, I am just being silly.
Random recommendation but. What a beautiful voice, beautiful woman… I’m a real sucker for French accents!
I believe the croissant original you tried has no butter but made with oil....
I have read that you should eat a big meal early in the day, because you need the energy for the day. By the evening you should eat a small meal, as you sit on a couch and do nothing.
Your getting bad intel
The French way is to eat the other way round, breakfast is very small or non existent, luch is larger and dinner is the biggest meal. No snacking!
Depends on your schedule, metabolism, body type, etc. Find what works for you, and the way you live.
The correct way is 30 days off 30 days on
Just walk for 10 minutes after your meal and you’re good.
😮Can you recommend a hotel close to this bakery ?
Hi Lucile and thanks for the video, can you kindly add the address of the bakeries you shop at in the description?
Just added it! Thanks for reminding me, I actually posted late last night and forgot :)
Is it filled with condensed milk?
👍😎
Did you discuss with Luis?
keep it up. you found it.
Thank youuuu :)
What about pastry stars like Pierre Herme or Cedric Grolet?
I've not tried Cedric Grolet because I don't like waiting in line haha but one day I'll do it :)
Sometimes i eat my croissant dry, sometimes i like ti vut a little pocket and out butter inside. I dip the chocolate croissant in my coffee. Ive broken 'rules' but I dont care
Are there vegan croissants in any of these bakeries?
in these bakeries one of the main ingredients is butter! I’ve heard of Land and Monkeys for vegan croissants and I personally always go to chambelland (gluten free with a lot of vegan treats too)
I love you
What is your favorite drink to pair with a croissant?
Hmmm, I usually eat croissant at breakfast so a big coffee with milk! If I eat croissant aux amandes it's for an afternoon snack so I prefer green tea :)
Boza?@@LucileHR
Hi Lucille 👋 it's jamie its been a while , you look great 👍 as usual booby looks well too you have the neatest way about talking about anything so do u have a favorite food in France 🇫🇷 do pastries 🍰 come from France 🇫🇷 is that where a lot of comes from . It is the first
Mamiche is CLOSED?
Only for two weeks! You scared me haha
Ohhh, well, I am glad for that! I couldn't find any information! THANKS@@LucileHR ♥
Most "fresh" bread here in DK had sadly also turned into "bake-off" (frozen dough), sad development... 😮🍻
You say have to eat 100 croissants line is a bad thing or a hard thing to do 😂
Best chocolatines then?
You have to do the taste test blind for unbiased results.
Real croissant eater would have bought a knife 😜
Bonjour,
You are an absolutely beautiful girl and a pleasure to watch and learn from !!
I wish I could also call them cwasoh and pa-oo-shokolah but it just seems too pretentious for an English speaker to pronounce it properly outside of France 😭😅
It's not fair to eat all those croissants in front of our eyes.
No riots?
In the Americas and Europe Costco bakery sells Croissants. They are Flakey and taste pretty good. I think they have a pretty good recipe with good ingredients. The French must have given them the recipe.
Sorry to say but michelin is over rated, they make tires/pneu and not food! 😮
How do these compare to Costco Bakery Croissants ( 12 for $6 USD in USA )
woooow that's a lot of croissants haha
Hahaha, Costco croissant does not have any butter in it, only milk.
