They are on a quest to find the best France has to offer.
There are over 35,000 villages in France, all with their own history, culture, and food. We are on a journey to discover as many of them as we can together. Let’s go.

It's a pity that the original CRESCENT form of the croissant with its 2 ends turned at 90 degrees what allows their CARAMELISATION during cooking is disappearing and is more and more replaced by the simple losange form that you show at 0:50 which CAN'T caramelise ! I really don't understand why the French bakers are today abandoning the much tasty traditional form ! At breakfeast, the French eat as well toasts with butter and jam and american style cereals (corn flakes). In your other videos, you should present as well another tasty pastry the "galette des rois" with frangipane, the "Paris-Brest", the traditional French (not Belgian) waffle which is the "gauffre Chantilly" with "sucre glace", the delicious "pain bagnat" to make sandwiches, and the basic "palmier" because it's usually big despite beeing one of the cheapest pastries. I have never heard of "pain suisse", but its name suggests that it comes from Switzerland. Congratulations for your videos which are very acurate and deprived of clichés or exagerated impressions, and consequently very helpfull for tourists.
"Come on; I mean. Look at that!" 😊😍😋 Paris, look out. Here I come.
Give me your must try in Paris. I leave in a month
I lived in Paris for 2 years and I see more of it on CZcams than I did when I lived there.
Your videos are 5 ⭐️ quality.
@@LesFrenchiesTravel I'm going in August for a week. The first thing I'm going to try is a Koon ya man!
“I don’t have to share it, do I?”
Colleen, my spirit animal! 🤣🤣
Flying to Paris on Monday. So excited to try all your food recommendations. It's my first time in EU and imma eat all the pastries that I can! 🤩
I’ll be there on Wednesday for 2 days and I’m literally trying to figure out how to make room in my belly for all of this! 😂
I’ll be there tomorrow Monday as well 😍
I will be there this Wednesday
if you want a butter overload croissant go check out Mori Yoshida at = 65 Av. de Breteuil. It will ruin all croissants back in America for you LOL. plus you will be by Tour Montparnasse if you want to go see the city from the top of a tall building. BUT the best view of Paris is from on top of the Arche De Triumphe, not too high so you can SEE the buildings. have fun!
Hi! How did it go ?!
Each Saturday morning I sit with my cup of coffee and spend a few minutes with you drooling over all things Paris. This morning, well, my taste buds were in high gear! You never disappoint! Merci.
I got a hankering for a croissant on a day I was going to Costco. Bought a 12-pack there for less than a single one from a café in the LA area. The café pastry may or may not even be fresh, who knows. I put one in the toaster oven at 200 degrees for a few minutes to soften the butter and crisp the outside. Sublime. Wrapped a few in plastic for the freezer, and took the rest to the church to get them out of my house. 😆 That’ll have to do.
Worth a trip to France just for the baked goods! Cheers 🥂
Pastry makes us happy 🥐
Absolutely love your videos about Paris. Interesting, helpful, to the point, and also entertaining. Going to Paris in March, cannot wait!
♥️🇫🇷
I agree! So many useless and narcissistic videos, Les Frenchies is by far the best! Thank you for your hard work!
Kouign-amann (doesn't sound like «man» in English but like «maman» in French) comes from Breton language and means «butter cake», it's actually bread dough plus half sugar and half butter («tant pour tant » in culinary verbiage), highly addictive and devilicious.
yeah heaven on earth
Thank you guys,,, How nice to start Saturday morning with a lovely little video about Paris and Breakfast pastries. You made my day.
Thank you so much for your videos! I love armchair traveling with the two of you 😊 Please don't stop lol! I love the reality of these, it's like being there with you. Thank you!
This is such a fantastic video! Those pastries look AMAZING! I would eat every one myself! Thank you for sharing these wonderful delicacies with us!
I love Chausson Aux Pommes 😋
Both of you are great! Love your videos. They are perfect. Not too long, you get to the point and they are very informative. You have a nice camera presence not too over the top or fake. Genuine! Don't change your videos they are so good.
You make me discover my own city. You guys are the bests. Keep going. For next time I recommand you to try "brioche à la praline rose" very yummy
This brioche à la praline rose is a specialty from Lyon, but I suppose you can find some in a few Parisian baker's.
Vous êtes adorables! J’ai l’eau à la bouche! Paris est sur mon bucket list alors j’ai sauvegardé votre vidéo!
Such a lovely couple and one of my favourite channels. Love it 👍
You both are such a pleasure to watch - and offer such useful and entertaining information. Thank you! My father was French, and when I was a child we would travel from the U.S. to France every other summer to visit relatives. I still remember the pastries/food they made such an impression. Now I'll be visiting Paris for the first time in years, and may end up eating everything in sight. 😉
Spent two weeks in Paris and had a pastry shop across the street. Didn't miss one morning of fresh goodies.
Would love to see something on navigating food allergies in France.
Thank you to bring these delicious food, and cultures to us. Really love you, your smiles, and love to life!
And always another great video. Very informative and i was drooling watching.
I will be staying near la Maison Isabel at the end of June! I'm so excited to try the bakery! I am watching all of these videos on repeat lol
Waaaah I can't choose a favorite... everything is scrumptious and delicious...
@@LesFrenchiesTravel one for each day... love the trivia... I knew it only now... too naive in these things... thanx for that...💙💙💙
We are planning our 25th anniversary trip for next spring and your videos are inspirational. Nous avons tellement hâte de visiter!
Vacationed in paris this week also geneva and brussels and I have to thank you for making my trip so much more convenient. Next time I know someone is going to paris, I'll recommend your channel.
Love the patisserie in France, its a different world to what I'm used to. Merci pour une autre super vidéo
We just booked our Spring 2023 trip to Paris! Your videos will be my go to guide! thanks for all the information!
Will be in Paris Monday!!! We are so excited and ,as always, thanks for your great videos.
the thing that kills me is that in Paris you get the real deal for only 2 Euro, but in America if you go to Starbucks a lame sad croissant that is the consistency of a dinner role costs $4.00 AND if you are lucky enough like I am to live by amazing french bakeries like Arsicault Bakery in San Francisco it's $5.00 (but so worth it). Why do we charge so much here in America!? oh right, greed.
At Bread Story in New York City it's only $3.75.
I was in Paris recently, went to Carton because of you guys!!! thank you!
Ooh la la so wonderful and I learned the word Viennoiserie that I will remember! When you place the pastry close to the camera, I want to take a bite it looks so good. THANKS!
It's 5:30 am here and I want a French croissant and un cafe!
We’re heading to Paris in a few weeks for my birthday!!!! Thank you for the videos and have purchased your guide ❤ cannot wait, thanks again ❤️
I love all your videos. You guys are the best. Keep going
I love this duo!!
You guys are awesome!!! Loving your channel so far. Just subbed.
I could literally die for kouign-amann and they have them with different flavours as well. We took so many home after visiting Quimper 😋
I’m currently eating all the almond croissants throughout Paris 😊
We are using your guide to help us find all sorts of great places. Thank you for sharing so much great information. Tomorrow we are going to Montparness tower for our last night.
Can't wait to try what you recommended. With a long list, and we'll have a chance to try them in two day's time. Thanks for your suggestions.
How lucky! I'm in Paris right now. Great timing! I've been eating different types of pastries. Will definitely try some of your recommendations. Thank you!!!
thanks for the highlights
“ rude thoughts”. !!! I love it!
Kouign amann is my best !
Loved it! I miss Paris already and want to go back!!!!
Yet another great video. Well done! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💗
I'm taking a train from london to paris soon, I love your recommendations about food!
On our first trip to Europe (first time out of Australia), we stayed in a BnB near Paris. At breakfast there was a bowl of little round balls. We ate them and went straight to heaven. We called them Sugary Balls of Air.... and our love of Chouquettes was born. We wil be back in December.... Can. Not. Wait.
Salut Les Frenchies! Thanks to your awesome videos, I had a great time in Paris. So helpful, especially the public transport and food to try videos, experienced amazing food and culture!
Another fun informative video. Thanks for all of your hard work - l watch your videos to stay sane till l get back!!

You’re killing me!! We just got back from France yesterday and we are already desperately missing the boulangeries! 😢
J'adore Kouign Aman, but that one is GORGEOUS!! I assure my friends that Kuoign Aman will change their lives!!! I live In Los Angeles, I wish there was a French bakery HERE that made it like that!!!
maybe not France level, but try Le French Rooster or Lou’s French on the Block!
Agree!
@@pinkrini88 I know the French Rooster in Burbank, close to where I live and I've gone there. Thank you so much!!
First time here trust me love it
Lovely couple the chemistry between the two of you and the bonding . I love everything that you shared . Definitely will visit all those breakfast place . Thank you so much
I would literally move to France for the croissants alone.
that's fair
I understand.

I am going to Paris for the 1st time in December. Thank you for your informative videos. I wish I could meet you two!
Super!
Kouign amann is the best pastry you can get. No doubt.
But it is even better when warm.
And agree on the rest, great choice.
Loved it ♥️ ❤️ 😍
Pain aux raisin is my fave!!
Those all look so delicious.
Went to Alexine this morning. Watched this video before we went to refresh my memory. So so so! delicious! We adore Montmartre! It reminds us of the French Quarter in New Orleans. Feels like home. Lol
Bon Appetit guys so delicious 😋 And yummy 😋
Oh my goodness those all look fantastic 😍 my weakness is dessert and pastries as well as donuts get me every time
Mmmm yum. French pastries are just the best!

Merci beaucoup pour vos vidéos ! Ils sont très intéressants. Nous allons à Paris le mois prochain et j'ai hâte de visiter les nombreux restaurants et boulangeries que vous recommandez. (Pratiquer mon français aussi!) 😋🥐
Votre français est déjà magnifique !
I ve been to Paris for fifteen days i loved every single second of it, i was so obsessed with the museums and the places that i forgot to try any bakery! at least i got my hand to the cheese!
@@LesFrenchiesTravel yeah so stupid of me, i hope i ll get another chance to be there
Delicious chef
Yay!!!! 10-hour layover next week in Paris!!! Definitely writing this down so I won't forget! I love chocolate!!! Thanks for this!
@@LesFrenchiesTravel i will take note on that! Tha k you so much! I will be there on Tuesday. Hopefully not too crazy at the airport.
I'm in Montreal and luckily we have most of these! Even in the suburbs where I live, I have 3 bakeries/pastry shops within a few minutes drive that offer these wonderful fresh products daily.
Thank you pain suisse looks right up my alley i will definitely look forward to that pastry
I love your videos 😻
I have Breton roots (where the kouign-amann originates from), and I can tell you that it's one the most fantastic and delicious pastries ever.
That being said, you should be aware that the amount of sugar may give you an unknown new type of diabetes.
speaking of which, what if you've already got it? (type-1 since October 1978)...do any of the breakfast patisserie choices have protein?
It's so worth dying for tho 🤤 If pure guilt had a taste, that would be it
Too bad you missed to talk about Cyril Lignac's "Pain aux Raisins", an extraordinary combination between viennoiserie and frangipane (almond paste), it's a must, believe me ! (shops in rue de Chaillot, facing Musée Galiera, and another one in rue Bayen in the 17th, close to Ternes, naming only two places). Be sure to buy them early morning, they disappear fast !
Very nice video, full of very tempting sounds and commentaries…
Love your video, now I feel more confident to leave my comfort zone (croissants)😊
Oh the blessed day when Colleen met Antoine. We are all so jealous of your access to the best of food, and your mutual enjoyment of it !
😊😊😊
Obrigada pelas sugestões!🌹
