I kinda like the stupid tourists, why? They are predictable and they follow the other tourists without question. That predictability is what makes their behavior somewhat tolerable, if nobody tells them to behave otherwise, they are like cattle, and just like cattle, or sheep, when they show up, just move to the side and let them pass, or, go in the opposite direction, just like how animals get into a pattern, it allows you to learn it and avoid it. Let them make mistakes, it ultimately makes them better travelers and tourists if they choose to continue to travel, or come back. Bottom line.. You can't fix stupid.

So I'm freaking out a bit after reading all these horror stories about train inspectors in Paris scamming tourists. Apparently they fine you for the and simplest and dumbest stuff, like forget to sign the card, take face pic, the validation machine is broken (etc) and blame you for did not validate, oversized luggage, wrong zone, incorrect station, incorrect kids age, wrong tickets, etc... I'm wondering if there is any EASIER, SAFER, and SIMPER way to buy train tickets without worrying about these shits. Basically, I'm going to use the train tickets for: (ONLY 1 DAY) Disneyland Paris -> Arc de Triomphe (Haven't booked any tickets yet) - Rer A Gare du Nord -> Brussels (I already booked a ticket for this) Gare du Nord -> Disneyland Paris (this require one stop at Chatelet Les Halles) Rer B>A I'll be traveling with my family and brother, which he is only a minor. He does not have a credit card yet. Any advice for this? Thank you so much! * I did read the other threats on Reddit; they suggested using Navago Card. But, the thing is, my brother does not have a phone yet. How do I validate the ticket in the app? I'm super afraid of those ticket inspectors ngl.

Don't use your phone to charge a Navigo pass ,pay with your credit card physically at the machine,sometimes the NFC connexion won't work,I have been charged two Times but never get the credits

As of a few hours ago, on May 21st, Navigo can now be purchased on iPhone. I have just started my research on transportation in France as of today. What are the chances of that😂

We have a world-class art museum located in the world-renowned Calatrava building along Lake Michigan in Milwaukee. We are 2 hours away from Chicago...also with a world-renowned art museum. Yes, the Louvre is worth visiting but once is enough for me. Bonjour.

Not a pickpocket story per se. My 1st moments ever in Paris (2016) Gare DuNord, just off the Eurostar. I see an older couple, obviously American (like me) and they have no clue where they are going. I’m from NYC, been riding the subway since I was 3. Had an app that worked great in London for the Tube, and it’s sister app for Paris. I offered to help them, and did! But I know now that they should have been extremely cautious of me and tell me to go away. I would never do that now.

You stayed at $425+ hotel with no breakfast! How many people (majority?) who watch these videos won't be as rich as you because people who can spend that kind of money don't watch, they just buy and do 🥂 C'est la vie

They can then validate these tickets directly from your phone at the ticket validators. This system has been in place for Android users now for a while but finally, this has now been put in place today (21/05/24) for Apple ios users. Anybody travelling to Paris from 20th July 2024 to 8th September 2024, I recommend buying your t+ tickets now whether as single tickets or as a carnet, if that is what you need at the cheaper pre Olympic prices. You can then save them on your phone, ready to use during this timeframe. It will save you money as the price for them will rise exorbitantly during this time.

You didn't visit the best landing beaches or museums. Utah beach museum and the airborn museum at Saint Mere Eglise are absolutely amazing especially since they were extended and improved a few years ago. Also they are only 30 minutes apart with a further two museums a few minutes away at Carentan.

There is no legal drinking age in France if it is with a meal or if it's bought for a minor. The rule you are referring to is "Buying" alcohol in shops.

Le Louvre: Mona Lisa and some other stuff. 😀😃😄 When I stayed in Paris around 30 years ago I visited the Louvre three times, spending a day in each wing.

After visiting the Louvre 2 weeks ago I understand why people get lost. There are room numbers on the map but I haven’t seen a lot of them in the rooms themselves. I think they should really improve that. Fortunately all elevators are lettered so that sometimes helped with my orientation.

I can’t believe all of you need all of these BACKPACKS and SHOPPING BAGS. What is so so important on a day out that you need this carry on? A simple crossbody. Always in front with a hand on. Nothing more. Have your metro euro in your pocket so you don’t even have to open it. Just use your head. Or don’t travel.

Paris is not safe at all. It’s becoming a very dangerous place to visit. It’s stressful

I use carry all my stuff like money, credit card and phone in my pants zipped pocket or in my inner pockets coat. In my bag just maps, pen, food. Since I started it I never had any problem with pickpockets anymore

I too went to Paris, last year in 2023. I fell in love and I am going back again in 2025. Rome in 2026, I hope.
