I rescued 4 mourning doves from captivity

I found four mourning doves that were in a cage filled with Eurasian Ringneck doves. they were for sale. the proprietor of the store knew they were odd looking but did not realize they were a native species once I told her what they were she gladly gave them to me

My absolutel favorite bird. To me they are a Biblical symbol of peace. Thank You for saving them.

Not sure how the obvious appearance of them, especially compared to Eurasian collared doves didn't get noticed, but at least you saw, before someone bought them. The person in question capturing the doves should know which to catch, and which to release.

Hope they were wild n not born in captivity cause if thier born in captivity they have a hard time finding food n are easy prey wish them luck
