So when it comes to purity, is that something you think that the government should enforce? For example, up until recently, it was illegal in Florida for men and women to live together unless they were married. Is that something you think should be regulated, or do you feel it's more of an issue of personal conviction that is between a believer and God.
Purity is something that we all struggle with, especially young people because we are extremely vulnerable rn. But even though we face many temptations, we must remember whose we are, and how we want to represent christ. Like Leah said, the battle is bigger than purity, its more of a battle of integrity to the Lord. Stay strong sis and God will see you through, your righteous intentions are not going unoticed. So good, Sis! I would advise her to also set boundaries to what she’s watching and listening to! What we fill ourselves with will come out! It’s harder to stay pure if we’re listening and watching things that are opposite of what we’re striving towards.

I wish I received this advice 4 years ago when I started university. Sweetheart listen to her advice, I had to learn this on my own and I am now in my late 20s. Stay with your mindset and remain consistent in prayer! I am so proud of you! I will keep you in my prayers! There is a lot of blessings that's comes with purity. Stay strong sweetheart!

I'd like to say I am very proud of you and the maturity awareness level you are blessed with as a teen! I am a 32 year old woman who has just now reached this level/mentality in my life. God is doing a true transformation in my life and I am seeking purity and submitting my body to him.
At age 16 I didn't and wasn't talk to about sex and it lead to teen pregnancy. Life has been a difficult journey for me sense I made the Choice to have sex out of wedlock and not submit my body to Christ. I agree with the statement Leah made, "todays decision will follow you throughout the rest of your life" so the decision you are making is a wonderful decision.
I am a single mother of two children and I aspire to be a mother who will talk to both my children about purity and sexual self control. I pray my children have the beautiful mindset that you have now and in the teenage years. You are on the right track! I commit to praying for your strength every day, during your journey.

Masturbate. Smh. That was my role model as a teen. Don’t be discouraged. There is someone for you and it is well worth the wait! Even if you never got attention from a guy before, don’t give in to the temptation of feeling wanted and loved.

Wow! Smh. Im now 28 but had a similar situation at age 15 ( I now look back and see God was attempting to lead me to a life of purity til marriage) but instead of a christian counselor it was my grandmother and aunt who discouraged me. I didn’t grow up in church or anything and did not have that family back ground so even it was weird to me but I remember being very excited in learning that God, (in which I didn’t know much about but being that I knew it was God was enough,) said for His ppl to remain pure til marriage and how He felt about women and how precious we were to Him and how He gave us two coverings was sooo fascinating to me! Especially since all I learned was premarital sex my whole life. And thinking I could confide in trusted individuals I was discouraged and told that that was stupid and made no sense and no one does that. Sooo I went on and a year later all hell broke loose lol 🤦🏽♀️ a path of foolish decisions and destruction. I just encourage you to stay strong and there is most certainly a Man of God who will delight in your purity and you’ll be so blessed that you remained faithful to The Lord in not sinning against your body (masturbation included) stay strong ❤️

This video really came I handy because I am currently in college and there has been a lot of corruption all around and noise. I would say I struggle and go through spiritual warfare even more now but, God promises that He will not suffer our foot to be moved (Psalm 121:3). I am confident that the Holy Spirit will keep me pleasing to Him. Each time something comes up, I talk back to it with the truth which is the word of God. Boundaries are very helpful to set in your friendships and potential relationship so that when you are in situations which goes against your boundaries (pleasing God), you can say no.
I appreciate this video! It is much harder done than said though. Whenever I discuss celibacy with Christians a lot of people skipped over that part. Thus, can’t help me at all.

I have been celibate for a year now and honestly it was not hard at all . I waited until I was engaged to break my virginity and that engagement didn’t last because I ended it. I pledged a year to God to stray from sex and now this year is up and I’m thinking about doing another year 🙌🏾 mind over matter

Temptations will always come, but God is stronger. Hold on even if it gets stronger....his grace gets even stronger it is so possible to stay pure, but it is a daily walk of pressing into the holyspirit.
Add these temptations make your faith stronger....you also need to remember that nothing comes your way that God doesn't know about He knows it already and He knows the way out...God is not suprised at what we face he actually permits it to happen and he has the solution to it.....nothing happens to you that has gone passed His control so that should be testimony enough for you to stand firm may the holyspirit give you strength and grace.
The Battle is the LORD'S! Through his strength we can live great uncommon lives!

I think you should check out the God is Grey youtube channel(don’t judge title doesn’t mean what you think) and hear other perspectives about “purity culture” because it’s not all cupcakes and rainbows, it’s really messed up many women’s lives mentally and emotionally.
I'm not sure where you are going with this but there is no grey on the matter. Dude sex equals kids thats all everyone needs to know. Once you have them there is no going back. If you're young its going to wreck you but no one tells you that. Our society thinks single moms are so cool and capable. Truth is its some of the worst things you'd ever want to go through, not to mention the spiritual baggage that comes along with having sex with a man who is unholy and does not choose marriage to you but his flesh, which is what he was choosing from the beginning with having sex with you. Its simply too much and it sucks. All of it.
@@BrandNewRedeemed no one is ever truly honest about single motherhood. Everyone always makes it seem like it was a choice and planned when we all know it really wasn't
To the young woman I have to this say: keep seeking the father because his love, wisdom, grace, and mercy is all that can get you through it. Do everything by way of jesus christ with the holy spirit as your spiritual guide and you will be alright.
No purity = kids. Easy.
