News 8 Throwback 1979: Heat wave hits San Diego

In two News 8 segments, Judy Elfenbein and Carol Kendrick report on a record-breaking heat wave in the summer of 1979. Judy hit the San Diego beaches to see how folks were coping, while Carol showed how a variety of workers around town beat the heat.

I remember going to Moonlight beach in the late 80's and we would be the only brown people on the beach🤣😂.
