They must sound better than the original factory enclosure. Great workmanship there.
So..... you are saying that they must sound better than from factory of manufacturer who spent millions of dollars on RD? Paid millions for engineers to test material density, resonance and manufacture the enclosure to tolerances no higher than .-004 of an inch. The measurements are so precise that the enclosure hermetically seals it self. This is a fact its in the manual it says to not pry open enclosure because is hermetically sealed and the sound quality will be lost if opened. They sound better than that enclosure you are saying?
@@pumapunkudevelopment3376 do not forget that the factory takes into account the mass and cheapening of products, no one will make a case out of expensive material because it is not economically profitable

I watch a lot of his video how to restore the speakers this is a badass it was me I would just throw it away buy me a new one but since he restored them in the f****** badass dude that's awesome wow great job 👍😁
Before anyone goes repairing speakers, please take note of the equipment needed to do the jobs.
It would be much cheaper to buy a new pair of speakers.
Unless you have access to all the tools like Mr. Electricity.
I once built a speaker cabinet using wardrobe doors. No screws or glue but slotted together.
The reason that I could do it because I worked in a renovation company that had all the required tools and the assistance of the workers.
I was NOT authorized to use the equipment.
Anyway, they did a great job.😊.

O que vale é a restauração..mas a acústica fica diferente das diferentes madeiras... Ele usa compensado.. original era aglomerado
I remember the era of minisystem/shelfsystem these came from. These speakers had a pretty sharp bass roll off, but could play seriously loud otherwise. Real Workhorses.
... what do you expect from those loudspeakers...?
- not the minimalst damping material inside
- not a bass reflex system
Of course they can play loud. This is not a quality criteria
These loudspeakers do not provide any frequency switch, so you don't know if there is a (halfway) acceptable frequency response from
@@53-herbie39 I'm not sure what your point is. and i'm going to have to guess you mean frequency switch as a crossover, because very few speakers have any adjustment on them. And these speakers wouldn't be at a beach party, they aren't portable or outdoor use, they came with a shelf-stereo system.
But i'll ask you a quick question: All other things being equal, if one speaker can play louder than another speaker, doesn't that mean it was made to higher quality?
@@themadmallard If a loudspeaker can play "louder" than another one (with teh power input) then this say only one thing:
he's more effective. He may have higher acoustic pressure (dB).
But it says nothing about frequency fidelity, distortion and impulse realiability and much more other parameters...

I would as I have done this a few times now. Changed a few things. The speaker wire, terminals and the crossover parts upgraded.

Looking better than new! I have a similar pair and they sound fine, well worth all the time, effort and expense to restore. However, the buyer was taking quite a chance on his motorbike by not tying them down.

Great restoration. For me it is a different story. My similar speakers for sony mhc v700 are in very good condition but my amplifier is totally broken and I have not been able to find a compatible amplifier. Can someone help pls?
Buena restauración, pero le pago solo 2 dólares 😢, esos parlantes deberían costar mínimo unos 40 dólares.
Está muy bueno , pero en el segundo no conecta el Twitter si miran bien como ponen el parlante se darán cuenta .

Tive dois aparelhos da Sony antigos Modelos FH G33AV E FH G88AV ambos usavam este mesmo modelo de caixas porem os Woofers eram diferentes estes do video sao do Sony FH G33AV e o G88AV possui duas caixas Satelites som Incrivel daqueles aparelhos
