Always check if it is safe to help the person, always call an ambulance, and if to many people, give them tasks so they are not in the way.

And it's best to assign the task to a specific person, especially calling an ambulance. Shouting it to a few people can make everyone think someone else will do it. People can react strangely under stress, so it's best to make sure he understands and after a while ask if the ambulance is on its way

The only thing that was missed in the first 20 seconds or so was sending someone outside to ensure the ambulance had a clear path/space in front of the store/no car or human traffic at the entrance.

As an Emergency Response Officer, I can say Rowan did amazingly well.
Up to the part where he asked someone to call an ambulance that is, after that... Well he might need some additional training...

In my opinion, he got it right. He called the ambulance and kept the others busy, as they would have gotten in the way with their advice or given the kind of help that would have led to death.

I'm sure this is A joke, but to clarify just so people don't get the wrong idea. If it looks like someone is having a stroke or heart atack do chest compressions. the potential harm done is much much lower than if you don't.

1. If someone comes up with chest pain n grasping chest,breathless, ask/check if he has heart meds like GTN on him. He supposed to put one under his tongue, repeat up to 3 times total. If theres still chest pain after 2 tablets, call the ambulance, take that 3rd tablet, sit down n wait.
GTN may cause giddiness and other side effects, so please sit down n be careful.
2. The skit opens with the classic signs of a heart attack/myocardial infarct. There are atypical symptoms, which may be seen more commonly in elderly, female and diabetics.
Do not ignore if 3 of these symptoms present itself together.
Abdomen pain/discomfort that feels like heartburn.
Breathlessness.
Cold sweat.
Jaw pain, that goes down go your arm, especially left side.
Back pain or neck pain.
Nausea
Feeling lightheaded,giddy or unusually tired.
Take your meds if you had been prescribed them before due to previous heart issues, such as GTN or even the two dose aspirin(please check with your doctor. This is NOT medical advice, even though aspirin is first aid treatment for an MI, you may NOT have a heart attack and hence why this CANNOT be construed as medical advice. )
3. From a Heart Attack/myocardial infarct, this degenerated into a cardiac arrest, aka, the heart stopped working. This is when CPR happens.
Call the ambulance. Find the nrarest AED if theres one.
Check breathing, commence CPR. Early CPR and AED is the most crucial step in ensuring the victim survives with minimal harm, with an early ambulance being the 3rd element.
A blanket may be nice but its not as important as chest compressions, chest compressions, chest conpressions.

@@imashadow699 Well, actually he did everything right. If you dont know how to help, you just call the ambulance and wait for it. If you try to help, you may get things even worse. Imagine that you are doing chest compressions on a person, but instead of saving him, you break his ribs. And secondly, if someone aroung again have no idea, how to help, you just give him useless task, so he definetelly can make situation worce. Primum non nocere (first, do no harm)

I got to give it to Rowan, he did take charge and tell each one to do something. Most of the time in an emergency, the bystander effect happen and nothing get done. The first thing he said was to get someone to call an ambulance. And then he gave the rest of them busy work to keep them from doing something stupid. Plus he got a massage, some of his taxes done, coffee, and car wash out of it. We all can learn much from him.
