Fat Bob is the best and most innovative Harley ever made and the fact that it's very un-traditional Harley VS all the boring designs of the past is a big plus for me. I've had probably 40 different bikes in 30+ yrs of riding and my 2021 Fat Bob is the best cruiser/sport hybrid motorcycle I've ever ridden or owned

  • @huntychunks
    @huntychunks Před 3 lety +14

Owned both. Kept the Fatbob and sold the Lowrider S. The finish is better on the Fatbob with too much cheap plastic on the Lowrider behind the faring. Ergonomics if you are a. tall rider are way better on the Fatbob with the fwd controls and overall handling is sharper with the shorter rake. The only gripe with the Fatbob is the small tank. Looks wise the Lowrider S is prettier but there's nothing that looks like the Fatbob on the road. Nice work lads.

I just bought a 2020 Fat Bob 114 (Orange and Black) with a two brothers racing stage ll two into one pipe and high intake air cleaner and a bigger cam. It does 153 ft pounds at the rear wheel and 142 hp. I put a 2in riser on the handle bars and dropped the mirrors under. Did a taillight kit and plate fender mount. She is one Bad Bad ride!!!

I have not been a Harley person and the Fat Bob is really intriguing. This is the bike that brought me into a Harley dealer for the first time and the test ride did not disappoint. But the more traditionally styled bikes (softail slim?) are also attractive in a different way and offer a more relaxed cruising kind of riding that is not the Fat Bob's specialty.

I had the opportunity to ride both of these bikes at a Demo Day last year. I own an Indian Scout Bobber, but had seriously considered the Fat Bob, so I was thrilled for the chance to ride one. I though I was gonna love it, but it felt "off" to me somehow. The power was great, the looks are amazing but the handling felt weird to me... Maybe it was just that I found the handlebars odd.
Anyhow I got done with the test ride and felt no regret in choosing my Scout Bobber.
Then I took out the new Lowrider S....WOW, I was blown away with how that bike felt. It's literally perfect out of the box and I would be proud to own that beast!
    Lowrider S for me.

It's funny watching this as someone who has never been a Harley fan but has recently bought a Fat bob. At the end you say he bought the Harley because of the name, the shirt, the community etc. I've never experienced this as a sport-bike kid. I've never liked Harley's, I've ridden everything other than a Harley (unless you count a Buell which I've owned several) but this 107 (skinny bob?) is great. Granted it's cammed and it has a thinner front tire. I'm really enjoying it, mostly because it pisses off hardcore Harley bros lol

I own a 21 low rider s and it’s also my 21st bike. I’m loving everything about it but I did add risers, forward controls, sport glide fairing with 14in windshield and a sport glide seat. Working on building what I will call the LRST. Just need sport glide bags and the SE 2 into 1 to finish it. I love the fat bob as well but the LRS just fit my build plan better. I do think the LRS should have came with forwards and the fat bob with mids. Would make more sense to me. I may end up adding a fat bob to the garage later as an around town bike when I just want to rip it.

I just bought the 2020 Low Rider S. Having come from street bikes (and also working at a Harley dealer, so, seeing these bikes every day)... now and again I get buyers remorse wondering if I shoulda gotten the Fat Bob. It was partly its current popularity that led me to get the Low Rider S. But the Fat Bob rides quite nice and is also a great platform and is better for the turns.

I currently own a 2015 Super Low 1200T that I bought used (had 1000 miles on the odometer when I bought it. Paid $6,000.00 for it). Been satisfied with SL1200T but after riding the Low Rider S well, but again IMO it is over priced new. Though the LRS is the best Harley I have ever ridden IMO.

    Why does James talk funny?...
It amazes me that someone will give his opinion what is better to him and that we should believe that what he says is true for everyone.
The bios toward one bike is clearly overt and that is ok.
My point here is that you get 10 people on the bike that they like and they will give you 10 different opinions why the bike that they like is better,so the whole point of this video is...Pointless...Right?...we all like what we like and we are all different and that is ok...right?

What a boring world it would be if no one shared their opinions. It's what makes life beautiful, we all have different views, but we're all part of this crazy thing they call the human race. Peace. And thanks for watching.

I have ridden both bikes. They should have been bikes that were tailor made for me, but both bikes are are flawed!. I will stick with the Sport Glide, although I would love the 114 engine and twin front disks that or on the Fat Bob and Lowrider S on my bike!.

@@smilinazzdoggy825 harley enthusiasts wont ride these street 750s and tiny crossover bikes. Nor do people want to pay 35k for a new bike. I love hd but they wont last much longer in business by catering so much to the Asian culture. Harley has been making decisions that is killing their industry.

The livewire is a perfect example of a bike nobody wants, and harley cant sell them. Yet they put millions into r & d for electric bikes and nobody is purchasing them. Over $30k on the sticker with a 150 mile range. Yeah, they are versatile. I'll give you that.

How on earth can the Low Rider S not feel as nippy as the Bob. The S has 93hp at 308 kg wet whereas the Bob is 83hp at 306 kg wet. That simply doesn't make sense.

They do on the Uk website. www.harley-davidson.com/gb/en/motorcycles/low-rider-s.html
Seems I missed an engine option tab on the website, so on paper they are the same with that engine option. So as I previously stated there shouldn't be anything in it then.
