This bike is everything I loved about my Sportster dialed to 11! Nimble handling, feels angry, looks great, naked enough that it's lighter, shirt ride height, and it absolutely begs you to be a hooligan on it!

Great analysis and riding to show this bike at it's best. I own it and love it. Vance and Hines 2 into 1 Pro Pipe made it sound bad ass. Inverted forks and a tight rake make it nimble. I run it here in the Philippians mountains. Torque monster baby! My wife and I love it....

I like the Fat Bob but it does not compare to a sports bike in any way shape or form. Even an MT-07 would show one a clean pair of heels in a straight line, throw some turns in there and it's a complete no contest. Wake up and smell the coffee and just love it for what it is. Funky, quirky and good fun.

You're thinking about an Indian FTR1200 (120hp) or Scout Bobber (100hp). Both can run an 11 second quarter mile at a lower cost. Stock. Let alone once you mod it.
The fat bob is very slow especially at 1700+cc. The 1700cc Vmax makes 200 horsepower.
This hunk of metal only makes 80hp. It looks cool but there are many other cruisers/naked comfortable bikes that will rip it limb from limb at even less cost. Fun and cool, but don't try fooling people into thinking its 5.8 0-60 is fast.

The great alternative to a Sport is a Naked, the alternative for the price of a Fatbob is a Super Naked. Why spend the money on a Fatbob when you can get a SuperDukeR, Tuono, StreetFighter, or a Z H2.
I dont hate the Fatbob, its actually one the better looking harleys but for the price point i find myself easily looking away if i were to spend money around that price point.

I have a 2018, 114, the only criticism I have is the gear change, it makes my foot hurt on up changes. It has an edge that digs into my boot. Repetitive changes make my foot hurt. I will be looking into whether Harley has an alternative. Long distances aint a problem, but around town its really uncomfortable.

I have the FB114 and also a ZX14R and a CBR1000RR. I gotta disagree with you bro about this bike being like a sport bike. Its a great bike, but its more like a bruiser/hooligan bike. A lot of low end and not much in the high end. But the biggest difference is the RPM range, the FB maxes out at 5K (and also 110MPH) while any liter sport bike is 13000+ with 180MPH+. The riding experience is entirely different. But yes, the FB is sportier than most cruisers, although my VMAX1700 is sportier

@@franciscvarga1212 I ride many bikes cruisers, Sport touring, sportbikes. Nothing equals to a supersport bike your comparison may only be to low end naked street bike the v-twin power plant are only torque monster, they really have no performance maybe to a guy that never ridden nothing but a Harley lol!

No Brembo Brakes, No Ohlins Suspension, and definitely no HorsePower!!! Their is a reason HD sales are falling faster than a lead 🍎

got brembo brakes, Showa suspension almost good as ohlins, got more torque than any crotch rockets and i don't think you wanna go 200 mph on this bike ,you will be blown off before you reach that speed.

I believe brembo makes the brakes. The suspension is good but at the moment mine is in the shop getting ohlins.

i think he meant coming off a sportbike and get on the cruiser seggment, like i did former GSXR1000 rider.

What did you NOT understand about "alternative"? He's not talking about "another sport bike" but, well, an alternative. I'll say his reasoning is pretty solid. It's not a sportbike, it may be something acceptable for someone thinking of switching a sport to some fun cruiser. And I am in that place actually, just HD (especially new) is out of my budget. But if it was in, I'd definitely give it a try.

That CBR lacks torque and is not comfortable

The bike is ultra nimble around traffic and cruises nice... kinda like a street fighter but only in a cruiser vibe.

Torque much better than horsepower for street enjoyment

Fat bob is just UGLY, is this supposed to be Harley's rendition of a bobber?? if so, i think they should look at the Triumph Bonneville Bobber or the Indian Scout Bobber, but the Harley Fat Bob is nothing but FUGLY. Is this supposed to lure people away from a spot bike? wow, Harley is so lost, like hell if i would pay $25k for a FUGLY bike that is lost in a design goal somewhere between a Bobber and a sport bike. Why not get the Triumph Bobber/Indian Bibber for $12,000 and get a 600 sport bike for $12,000 and have the best of both worlds rather than this ugly garbage for the same price with less power and design taste.
