  • You are correct, at this point, we could have a reality series on; How to make every Harley Davidson fit a 5' 3" Woman.
    But, we hit absolute GOLD on the FatBob and the change was already in our Garage, attached to another bike. We should have known. That bike fit her so well, with the exception of the standard Primary Cover.
    The best part, both bikes now look incredible and the S&S Stealth Air Cleaner with the original Tear Drop Cover makes smoother power with the S&S 475 Cam.
    The FatBob 114 now fits her perfectly and the Breakout looks like the Old School Fat Tire Chopper it was meant to be.

    I am a 5'6' female with a 2022 streetbob and I am struggling to get comfortable reaching the stock handles because of the stock seat position/handles. Can you tell me which handlebars you use and which seats you recommend to push short riders closer to the front of the bike?

      Good morning, thank you for the question. I road a 2021 StreetBob just a few months back and really loved the additional power of the 114, it gives the bike serious potential. Great choice.
      You are 3” taller than I am. I have grown to love, love, love Krause Risers and MotoBars. The kickback 10” riser with the kickback will give you the same height as your stock Mini-Apes but move the bar back a couple inches. The great thing about Krause risers is the solid mount bushings on the Triple Tree. They have dampeners mounted at the top. Great balance, solid feel but dampening vibration.
      For seats, because of your height, the Saddlemen San Diego Customs Gripper Seat with the adjustable lumber support will sit you up about an inch and forward just over an inch. The gripper fabric holds you in the seat nicely and the lumbar support helps with your lower back. You can choose custom color stitching and leave the logo black for an excellent look.
      Disclosure, I am prejudice for Saddlemen Seats. They have a great balance of Aesthetics and comfort. You can get seats with more cushion but, they don’t look nearly as clean.
      You might also look at some Gripper Style Moto-Pegs. Flo-Motorsports makes both pegs and mini-Floorboards that allow you to adjust foot position for comfort. They also hold good to your boots so your foot stays solidly in place at highway speeds.

      @@mrnutt9814 thank you so much. I will probably start by getting a seat that pushes me forward and tilt the mini-apes back to me slightly..... hopefully this will do the trick! great feedback

      @@jennifermelo6542 Happy to help, also, just a hint, play with the Lever Position (tilt on the bar) so your hand is in a comfortable position when you pull the clutch and brake. If you have small hands, tilting them up slightly allows your fingers to grip them better.

    Love your fat Bob looking great! I have a 2018 114. I noticed your Rear brake pedal seems to be raised? That’s one issue I have with the spike is how much I have to torque my foot to get to the brake pedal. Did you change that out? By the way I recommend switching out the Dunlop tires for the Avon Cobra Chrome’s. I can’t express the difference in handling.

    • @TheNuckinFutts
      @TheNuckinFutts  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for commenting, I know exactly what you mean. Because I am short, the stock brake pedal was useless. I replaced it with a Harley Accessory Brake Arm and Pad. It made all the difference. I did switch to Cobra Chromes and you are right, they changed the bike completely. My husband had a 2018 FatBob with Michelins, they were far better than the Dunlops.
      It’s the Satin Black Billet Brake Lever. Part: 41600219

    Do you have a link to the springs that you used for front and rear? If you lower the rear do you have to lower the front as well?

    • @TheNuckinFutts
      @TheNuckinFutts  Před 3 lety

      Both are made by Progressive.

      I have always found it best to lower the bike evenly. Chassis Geometry is one thing Harley does extremely well.

    What's your inseam? I thought about getting a forward facing intake to clear my knee and was told it would make it worse for me. It obviously made it better for you so I'm curious if your inseam is anywhere close to mine.

    • @TheNuckinFutts
      @TheNuckinFutts  Před 2 lety +1

      I am 5’3” with short legs, I dont know my inseam but, forward pegs on Harleys allow my legs to sit with no bend in the knee, if that helps.

      @@TheNuckinFutts thank you. I definitely have a little bit of a bend in my legs so that intake may not work for me.
      What if anything did you do to get the bars closer to you? I would like to move the bars closer to me by about 2".
      Oh I'd also love to hear that exhaust if you make a video of that. It's not the easiest to hear in your riding footage. I'm looking at that exhaust, but I've read that it's extremely loud which I don't want. D&D told me the Abuelo Cat is a little quieter than the Bob Cat that you have.

      @@TheImtoomuch I don’t have recent videos. I changed the Front End to Krause Moto. Used a Krause Riser with a Kickback to their Fly MotoBar, LOVE IT! Good morning, congratulations. You won a 2021 Fatbob? That’s awesome. After I lowered the suspension, I needed about an inch more. The Saddleman Speedmerchant was perfect. It definately sits me lower into the chassis of the bike, if it’s not a full inch, definately 3/4 or better.
