So when my king died, i got to play the nephew. I married my cousin in a matrelinear marriage so i could try to reunite the country. Will it go back into one country when the children inherit the kingdoms?
Yes, by the way. That is, in fact, how inheritance works. If your child of your dynasty is your only child and their only child, that child will inherit unless you have more than one child, in which case it'll continue to be two realms, or if you have an eldest daughter be the heir to one kingdom which allows women to inherit but another doesn't so instead it'd go to the nearest male relative.
Man I wish ck3 still had ck2's combat and commander system. Not a big fan of the new knight system - it's kinda immersion breaking when you've got dudes who can singlehandedly kill hundreds of people in one battle.
What? I never saw that before. The knights duel other knights and I love that about the game. Never once saw knights explicitly fight men at arms or levies….but then again I haven’t played in like 2 months
I think knights don't *kill* that many but are rather a form of moral support for your army and an instigator of fear in the enemy's. At least in theory, in practice you'd have to test it with a pure knight army of like 100 vs a pure peasant army of like 10k to get good results.
i don’t really think it breaks immersion historically an army with knights could defeat stronger armies with no knights i don’t think the game is saying your knights can kill hundreds by themselves i think it means that the knights command and moral boost can significantly improve your power

Yeah well I'm happy I don't have to pay ~$200 for a game when I can pay like 30 (what i got it for) and have mostly the same experience, except now the characters don't look like dogshit, a mod team that at least kinda cares about the game (second best paradox team to Stellaris), and a much more user friendly gamellay experience. I mean, I probably would've liked ck2 more if I had been playing as the dlc came out, but after 2 years or so...it was just too much.
On a fundamental level I know CKIII has better mechanics but on the other hand my brain turns to mush whenever I see the drop down menus and informative council system instead of sharp ugly archaic menus

Acting like a sort of shadow emperor by "puppeting" other nations and cementing my families rule over Europe.
@@aabattery06 I do that by marrying the grandchildren of independent rulers. That way there's no major penalty for matrilineal marriages for children of heirs who have no title yet.

In my opinion, ck3 lacks alot from ck2, therefore making both games different. Ck2 has different decisions, aswell as societies. There is also infamy, which i think we need in ck3. However ck3 has dynastic renown, easier to manage armies aswell as custom religion and culture (sorry non dlc users). Therefore, the 2 games are good in their own ways and you cant say one is better when they are Basically unique in their own way from one another

Now you can take and give titles to people in prison (And also transfer vassalage), you can kidnap anyone in the world, as a catholic you can fuck your kids and parents, and as a unreformed pagan religion, you can declare holy wars and demand conversions.
@@Klongu_Da_Bongu you could do that in ck2... do you not play with DLC? The only thing ck2 doesn’t do there is abduction, but more than makes up with way more content. Also worth noting most of that is achieved through perk trees, which makes no sense. In ck2 anyone can seduce, murder and ask for vassalage etc. at the same time, and without needing a perk. Worth noting ck2 had secret societies, warrior lodges, disease mechanics etc. all absent from ck3
@@neinno8172 All you've said you can do it without perks. CK3 has just so luch more ergonomy that I can't return to CK2. For example you don't have to give title one by one to a vassal. You can give him all the counties you want in one go in CK3. It's 1 thing of many
