    Excellent video; thank you for sharing. I'd have loved to have visited the place but didn't get chance to get there before it became a no-go. At least the wrong type didn't get chance to get there.

      It was a very interesting to explore , I'm glad it's sealed, there's a lot of nutters out there that like to set fire to buildings too. Thanks for watching 🙌

    This was my family’s home and seat for centuries. My grandfather grew up there….lost it due to death duties/inheritance tax.

      @@ExploringHabit thanks so much for filming! My favourite part was the Stables. Did you find our burial ground? It’s very well hidden in some trees a little distance from the house. That photo of the old cars all lined up at the front door was the first meeting of Somerset’s new RAC.

      Nice photo , I was going to explore more of the grounds but after i spotted the alarm system in the basement. I decided to leave.

      @@ExploringHabit the funny thing is….as I was watching you go down into the basement where the original kitchens were and wine cellar, I said “he will probably set the alarms off now” and just then you commented “ I think I hear an alarm going off”….Bizarre coincidence!
      We went down there once with a big Labrador whose wagging tail set off the alarms.

      Easily triggered then , glad i left the basement till the end.

    Awesome explore. I went last Sunday. Apparently it has live in security now a mate of mine went the other night and said it was a no go. A place like that needs to be protected.

      Thanks , I'm glad, there's so much valuable stuff inside plus it's listed. There's a few videos uploaded for this property eventually it will attract the wrong type. Glad it's secure now.

      @@ExploringHabit our family home….I wish we could pool our money and bring it back into the family. Have spoken to the estate agent who says he may have a buyer finally. And I’m sending this video to the entire family. I haven’t been inside the Park since I was a teenager. Memories!!!

    To think a preservation order was taken to save it from demolition. Good job it became a hotel. Many country houses were either mechanically demolished or imploded by explosives. What fate for the unlucky or the forgotten.

      I agree, it is listed , hopefully someone will buy it & preserved it's magnificence.

    Amazing hotel been there several times and yes the hotel is under administration and for sale I believe. Don’t get me wrong yes I watched the video and a good one at that but you are trespassing and I hope you don’t get caught fella.

      @ExploringHabit  Před 11 měsíci +2

      It's just trespass , as long as I don't break in or steal anything.In the UK trespass is a civil matter. It was a cool place to explore I'm surprised there was no security at the time. Thanks for watching 👍

    Some lnside knowledge about this place, I worked there about 10 years ago, kitchen work, it was owned by an Andrew Davies who owned Von Essen, it was running out of money fast when I was there, we had meetings with Andrew Davies explaining we had to push on yet payday got later and later. He was often coming too Ston with an Italian toy boy - Andrew was a deranged coke head. The manager when I left was called mark, he was cheating on his wife, at the time, with a fat old worker there. He never paid me my final check. I’ll be honest the place deserved to fail, they screwed me over. I didn’t see you go down to the basement or to the outhouse. When you went out the back kitchen door the outhouse is past the steps on the right - the smoking area was the old stables to the left. I’m glad the place failed, it deserved it, most the workers were liars. I should probably go and have all them copper pans in the basement “old kitchen” unless someone else has had them away. If you go out the gates, turn left and follow the road, there’s a church, then a turning left, go past that and the first house on your left is the staff house - been fucked up many a time in these two locations 😂

      @@ExploringHabit really interesting to see this place again - fantastic upload! Any idea what it’s current situation is? And yeah there’s a cottage in the garden as well, the stables looked cleared out but for a while it had an old police car in it 😂
