    I've been waiting for Prime Day to buy the Dreametech L10s vacuum since your best vacs of 2023 comparison video last month. Used your link & the $50 coupon code for a $649 price. That's a steal for a top line vac like this. I would have bought it at $999 vs the Roborocks but after your comparison plus Prime Day and coupon made it a no-brainer. Glad I was patient. 🙂

      I haven't gotten a chance to test the T20. I did test the Q-Revo after my last video, it's good for the price but L10s is better and the L10s sale price makes it a no brainer.

    What is the difference between: RLC-810A cam and B800 cam?
    Im looking into buying either RLK16-810B8-A kit ($799.99) or RLK16-800B8 kit ($669.99) but i cant find the differences between them.

    • @TheHookUp
      @TheHookUp  Před 10 měsíci +1

      810A is a standalone camera that can be used on its own or with an NVR, B800 can only be used with an NVR, has a much slower processor and slightly worse image sensor. Get the 810A one for sure.

    • @mcaralli
      @mcaralli Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@TheHookUp I thought I had posted a comment on this video yesterday, but can no longer find it! Anyway I have just purchased the NVR package RLK16-800B8 containing the B1200 cameras, and after reading your post advising to stay away from the B series, I sent an email to the Reolink Team asking them the specific question, i.e "what is the difference between the RLC1212A and the B1200 camera?". below is the answer I got this morning:
      The B1200 camera is an add-on camera that cannot work without the NVR. Therefore, it doesn't have a UID.
      However, RLC-1212A is a standalone camera, which means you can use it without the NVR by using its UID.
      Other than that are all the same.
      So they are the same or not? Now I am really confused and not sure if to send everything back and purchase separately NVR (which was not on sale yesterday but it is today!) an separately a few of the RLC811A
      UPDATE: I am returning the RLK16-800B8 and ordered 6 x RLC811A cameras with the reolink 16 channel NVR, the total cost is about an extra 200 euros but probably worth it. Thanks for your help

    I'm wondering how you secure these on your unifi setup? A lot of these vacuums have cameras on them. Would you be willing to do a video talking about vacuum firewall security like you have done with IP cameras?

    • @TheHookUp
      @TheHookUp  Před 10 měsíci +1

      They go on the IoT network. If you aren't comfortable with the camera on them, you should get one without a camera.
      There are a few vacuums that can be operated locally:
      1. Roomba uses MQTT which can be intercepted and spoofed to run locally, but app functionality is lost.
      2. Many dreametech vacuums (and some other brands) can use custom firmware called Valetudo that preserves most functionality but enables local control. Unfortunately Valetudo is not compatible with the L10S Ultra.

Also, it might be useful to compare the responsiveness of the camera on Wi-Fi vs PoE.
