- Andy Hunt, Kevin Donovan and Nicky Reid scored the goals as West Bromwich Albion, then managed by Ossie Ardilles, beat Port Vale 3-0 at Wembley - in front of well over 40,000 of their own supporters.
Chairman Trevor Summers joins the players, including top goalscorer 'Super' Bob Taylor and club captain Darren Bradley, in the changing rooms post-match for a well-deserved 'boing-boing'.
Peter Swan is sent off for Port Vale after brining down Bob Taylor outside the penalty area.

I was there only 11 one of the best days of my life. Saw Tony Lange on drive home on motorway we all boinged on the coach for him he gave the thumbs up great days

I seen Donna Glover ( sister of Dean Glover ) the week after and the look on her face when I told her I was there to support the Baggies and not watch her brother.. Amazing day!!
Hi was there too.the Glovers lived in my road in Northfield.Gary.Donna and Glenda and the dad don.hope they all ok. Dean was a great player remember him at villa then Boro.i had my baggies scarf hanging in window for weeks. Great day

vale shouldve gone up automatically that season, this was one match to far after winning the autoglass at wembley the week before
Vale blew it big time that season if I remember properly. (Along time ago I was 20, I had brown hair and weighed barely 10st. Now 47, grey balding and fat!) They were so far ahead with stoke. Then seem to lose every week, in the last few games, and Bolton came like an Express train knocked vale out of the top 2 and plunged us into 4th!
@@philh8288 Bolton beat Stoke last but one game. Stoke never even tried. They'd won the league easily already.

Vale had a great team with Ian Taylor and robin van der laan in midfield. It was just albions day from the start we sold out our allocation 40k plus. Vale had been to Wembley the week before and barely sold any tickets.
