I remember watching Jeff and The Boys on Sky Sports. Hammer Tony Cottee was covering the game and when we were 3-0 down after 18 minutes, I thought the top of his head was going to fall of, so big was his grin. After Hughesie scored the winner, he looked as though someone had told him his dog had died.
I was about two rows back behind the goal (which was effectively below the pitch at the Boleyn) and had mates who were West Ham fans in the home end. When Defoe went through on goal at 3-0, I promised myself I would leg it up the steps as soon as it hit the back of the net and drown my sorrows in a nearby pub. He didn't score, it all changed and we went absolutely mental when Hughsie hit that winner. I remember standing next to a dad and his young son and telling the lad that he would always remember the day for as long as he lives. He must be in his late 20s/early 30s now and I bet he's watched this a few times! UTA
My first ever football game i went to. I was 10 years old :)

Gosh remember this game. My youngest's birthday party. I was supposed to listening the DJ we'd hired for the afternoon but had half an ear on the radio!
I lived in London. and went to this gutted to be losing but then! we we singing "we're going to win 4-3. and by heck we did now in Suffolk. forever a baggie just love the stripey shirts on the rampage! good old Hughes, sadly went pear shaped after this xx
we'm down now though, still bloody good comeback my word!
David James presses the self destruct button
BLIMEY I didn't realise David James really was that shite - thought it was just banter!
Bare in mind, that in the World Cup in 2010, when England lost 4-1 to Germany.... he was our best player....😬
He really was awful.
We had such a strong squad for the division back then.
Zoltan Gera, Jonathan Greening, Robert Earnshaw and Kanu got added to the squad following season, after promotion.
Loved that team.
Yep I was there a lovely day.
was there on that day :D one of the best matches ive been to. we was chanting 3-4 to the baggie boys
West Ham in 2003 : David James , David Forde , GLen Johnson , Anton Ferdinand , Ellliot Ward , Lee Bower , Joe Cole , Michael Carrick , Richard Garcia , Kanoute
we better win today as well
