- There are just some moves that we should not do. This video highlights the most dangerous and unsave moves in larping that you should avoid doing, and ask people not to do. If they do these moves, then show them this video! We don't want others getting hurt, so lets make sure no one gets hurt with our attacks or movement.

Overall some great points. I use non-committal feints to shoulders, as in not bringing my sword into my opponent and then switching sides, and I haven't had problems with face shots.
I think the emphasis on controlled shield bashing and differentiate between shield bashing and shield checking is important.
With the 2 handed downswing against shields at least with heavier weapons I've had people drop the weapon and let gravity do the work instead of swinging it downward, but this could still be dangerous, and with a lighter weapon possibly ineffective.
Feints to shoulders can be done, but the main problem is that when most people just try to feint and instead are right in between the shoulder and head. Feinting too far.
True for shield bashing and checking. Why I mentioned charging or running. Checks do not usually involve even a jog.
As for gravity.... ya that is dangerous. Even if aimed, all it takes is for one bad move from your target to hit a head. Have seen it a few times. Never good.

Hey I just recently found you this week and now I'm subscribed. I really like your Amtgard class videos especially the ones that go through each level. I'm relatively new to larp in general and I've been having trouble memorizing all the various rules in Amtgard. I have less trouble with Darkon which is the other larp I play.

If you think about it you can use both sword and bord as well as Florentin if a magic user or barbarian make you lose your sheild. Just drop the sheild and pull out your second sword. Now your duel- swords
