As a former rapper myself, of the top 5 diss tracks in rap and hip-hop, my list is as follows:
    5. Canibus - 2nd round KO
(a rookie featherweight going against a super heavyweight)
    4. 50 Cent - Your Life's On The Line
(Ja Rule started falling immediately after this song's release)
    3. Tupac - Hit 'Em Up
(still one of the most violent and disrespectful songs ever made)
    2. Nas - Ether
(he bodied the entire roster of Roc A Fella by himself when they were at their highest point)
    1. Ice Cube - No Vaseline
(1 v 4 and no response ever. Nuff said)

Imagine Heller disagreeing with his portrayal in straight out of Compton. The problem was Heller was a lifelong industry shill he genuinely saw nothing wrong with the predatory practices of the industry or his roll as a parasite. Unfortunately he was also operating under a false understanding of how the group functioned his experience with rock groups led him to believe as long as he kept the lead vocalist happy the others would have no choice but to fall in line. Cube quickly disabused him of that notion because while all the members were talented Cube's pen and Dre's ear were what really drove their success.

Frankly how all this started is when Cube was on a rap show called Pump It Up hosted by Dee Barnes Cube gave a shout out to his former crew members of N. W. A. at the end you still can’t play me and that got them mad so on NWA’s second album ZAGGIN4 they dissed Cube on the first side of the album from the intro where KMG give it up to the real ruthless gangstas their no mob, that was directly at Cube he had group or a called Da Lench Mob, on another song Alwayz into Somethin’ Dre said that Ren told him that I speaking to yo b**ch O’Shea which is Cube’s real name and after they did a skit calling him a Benedict Arnold with other people chiming in and the song Real N***az Ren,Dre and, Eazy went in on him and, of course Cube clapped back where he saved the best for last on The Deafh Certificate album on No Vaseline where he took all of them out including Jerry Heller and there were no rebuttals and after that the group broke up end of story.
