Over the past few months, I've received thousands of messages from people all over the world who suffer or have suffered from acne, an insecurity or self confidence issues.
I wanted to create a film that showed how social media can set unrealistic expectations on both women and men. One challenge many face today, is that as a society, we're so used to seeing false images of perfection, and comparing ourselves to unrealistic beauty standards that It can be hard to remember the most important thing - You ARE beautiful.
You are beautiful - no matter how flawed you feel, no matter how upset you may about the way you look or how hard you find it to make friends, or be confident. Believe in yourself, and never let anyone tell you're not beautiful - not even yourself.

I honestly think it's because of makeup. You get so used to seeing people with clear foundation caked faces that when you see someone being natural, its weird. Atleast, that's my theory.

Ikr, sometimes acne is genetic and can't be washed away as easily as (apparently) everybody thinks! Sometimes it's from puberty in kids, which is just from oils on the skin. I can't believe people have to make every flaw sound like you're a monster
That's not acne. And it bothers me so fucking much when people do think it is. I have eczema atopica and my face before treatment was disgusting and still is because it can never truly go away with anything.

When I was working in a car workshop I was afraid that I would have more spots because that work was dirty so I washed my face after work and I had even less spots than before I started working. Washing face 3 times a day is more effective.

7 years ago and it still makes me cry. I saw this when I was 12. I cannot fathom how I would feel if my older sister never showed me this. She was 16, crying because she felt this way, and she chose to show this to me because I felt this way about myself as well. To this day it makes me cry, god I’m blabbering on because I’m crying still and yeah. This video has had such a huge impact on my life.
It just shattered me of how true it is, it just made me feel shame in which society I am leaving!

I can't relate to this because I don't have acne and I never wear make up but the video is so well made and the ending fits so well with that "you are beautiful" as the defining note in the song hits, that it makes me cry everytime I watch it. I remember my mom watching this on Facebook 8 years ago and showing my 9 year old self this. Never have I understood something so deeply till now and how society has truly become so obsessed with perfection, when it’s clearly right in front of you. Ruichi Pioni it’s not a problem at all. Just to clarify, over use of makeup destroys your skin. Companies do this on purpose forcing you to have to continually use makeup. Whereas if you just used it modestly at not even the top like most people these days ur natural face would still look good.
Basically makeup is meant to enhance ur natural features not create ones which aren’t there in the first place.

This video was so relatable to me. I'm tired of people talking about my face. I have very sensitive acne prone skin, and never could afford a real treatment for it. I literally stopped going out of home to avoid people looking at my face. Also I don't put makeup because it may cause more damages. I feel like no-one would ever love someone like me. Everybody wants a "beautiful" girl.
No sugar, no carbs, liver detox and you should be fine.

I kinda feel it because I am OBSESSED with having a good skin and I'm not having it. I just want to be pretty, not for others, but for me, I just want to look myself in the mirror and say "oh today you're so beautiful"
If you have acne problems, go to a dermatologist and follow the treatment, even if it takes time (because to cure completely it can take up to years), follow the treatment and your skin will be healthier!

And the main part of this video is, people don't understand. They only feel themselves, "know" themselves, full of themselves, selfish and are attention-seeker. They don't know how others feel, while others also don't understand how they feel... This is truth, no one understand anyone, so just know that however you feel, you are not alone!!
