2013-02-10 Hike along with me on the Colonel Bob Trail in the Quinault Rain Forest

Beautiful hike! Mists were hanging below and above. The trail had a lot of variety, from dense to more open forest, from high along the side of a ridge to down along a creek. Much of the trail is still under construction, requiring a lot of navigation around logs & stumps.
Nearing four miles, I lost the trail under deep snow and decided to head back.

I've hiked here, Aaron. It's gorgeous in the summer with hydrangeas growing wild and blossoming all over like weeds. I highly recommend it. You and Trina should go. There's an old lodge that you can stay at, on a lake. Make reservations for the lodge.

Summer. hydrangeas and all. This looks to be winter.Much damper than when we were there but still beautiful.

me and my friend steve are planning a trip for late june. hoping to not get rained/snowed on.
