  • This was my first stop on my 3-day Olympic National Park hiking adventure! On this adventure, I visited the Lake Quinault area, where I hit the Quinault Rainforest Trail, the World's Largest Sitka Spruce Tree, and Merriman Falls. This was a totally amazing first stop, and I highly recommend checking this beautiful forest out when you come to the Olympic Peninsula.

Welcome to Olympic NP (forest)! Excellent video - just added it to the "to-do" list! Nice waterfall at the end!

Yeah it's a smaller version of the HOH Rainforest but it's a lot easier to get to and less crowded which is great. Thanks for watching brother.

Now you're making me all nostalgic. My dad lived in that area for his last two decades. We spent many happy hours hiking together up there. I'm glad you're getting to experience the beauty of the area, and doing a wonderful job of sharing it with the world.

Oh that's so awesome that you have spent a lot of time up there. There's so much to see and I did the best I could with three days but I did see a lot! Oh wow I'm sure you have some really great memories with your dad here. I'm so glad you like the way this turned out and I always appreciate your kind words. Probably around 5 more videos to come from Olympic National Park. Thanks for watching 😀.

Yeah this was probably one of the most photogenic trips I've ever taken honestly. This was just a small sample of what's to come. It was definitely a great place to start off the trip though. Thank you so much for watching Craig I really appreciate it.

Amazing colours and also 'hugging trees', you are not the only one who has not seen that before. Never been to a rainforest before and although that was only a short walk, it looked amazing, as did that tree, man, that was big. Great way to finish with the waterfalls, the day that just kept on giving and giving, cheers Alan

Thank you very much Alan! Yeah the rainforest was super pretty, so lush and green which is amazing. Looks kinda like something you'd see out of a Fairytale Land or something. This was a really amazing National Park and I can't wait to show you more. Thank you so much my friend.

Wow Eric, if this is a sign of what's to come, I think we'll be getting a great series from your adventures in this park! Love all the moss, and then the trees on the trees! That one huge tree was very impressive, and of course the waterfalls are always a nice treat. Looking forward to what you have in store for us!

This was a gorgeous trail, Eric! The trees seed into tree stomps in forests where there is a lot of humidity. We see these in Mt Hood National Forest as well. Adrien loved Merriman falls. Can't wait to see more of your trip there!

In Olympic rainforests hemlock saplings get started in nurse logs. As they grow larger their roots reach the ground. You can find rows of trees that grew on the same nurse log.
