- The concept of keeping a bird in a cage is like a jail for humans. Let’s talk about why it is cruel to keep a freely flying bird in a cage?¸

🙏❤🐦🐦Good Morning! I have a tiny apartment. I keep my little sweeties in my bedroom in front of a window. They enjoy looking out. They also get quiet when they hear other birds outside...cock their cute heads and then start chirping with them. There are 2 windows in my bdrm so they can fly to either one. I love them. They are growing and maturing and have a lot to say on many budgie issues!🐦🐦❤😄🙏
In cage😭
In a cage
It's so cute parrot budgie
I have a window in my room...its quiet big. While day they fly in my room and at night I keep them in that window....There window is really big and they love it ❤
In India shopkeepers keep a lot of budgies I a small cage. they only see their profit :(
This also happen in bangladesh
I am from india too can confirm
I am also an Indian and confirm your statement
Not only india in sri lanka too
Yeah I wish someone would do something about it
Alen u know sometimes my cousins say that it is cruel to keep a bird in a cage🥺But i always keep them happy.I always give them a chance to fly...i love my birds🥰

My budgie is free to fly whenever I'm home. She's only locked in her cage while I'm away from home or during the night.
It's not cruel if you give them plenty of flight time
Yes, the cage is like the home of the bird. A safe place it can retreat to because there's food, water and entertainment.
Everyone is different, i have an open cage at all times unless I'm doing something and I need to keep them safe.
I do the same thing with my cockatiel. Whenever I’m home I let him out, allow him to fly and explore his surroundings only when I’m away or when it’s night he is in his cage
Yes
@@wwondertwin FYI birds can find their own food and water in nature.
This is a video that every New bird owner should watch
So good
Important for everyone
Keep ur work up
Do not worry he will ❤️
Me too
Ive had multiple budgies in the past, and my new one has his own cage and his color finally came out to reveal hes a male, and for some reason he just loves his cage he refuses to stay far from it for too long for some reason! I make sure to interact with him everyday and let him sit uptop the curtains, speak to him and kiss him goodnights :)
Much needed video for first time pet owners
My great grandma had Budgies before. I visited once and when I saw the budgies pluck small feathers I knew what was happening. I heard that Budgies love to hang out with humans a lot, and when they can't hang out with them, they get stressed and pluck their feathers. I played with them and petted their heads softly. I cleaned parts of the cage as well. I felt bad for the birds and I loved spending time with them
I watched your videos before buying my first budgie 11 months ago, and i learned a lot. Now i have two very nice little pests, and the male is learning to talk. Thanks for all the valuable information you give us.
That is awesome! I am so happy to hear that 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Budgies can talk 😳😳😳?
@@ak3nt male yes if you spend some time for to talk whit him

I'm about to become a member, I have one question tho, did you ever use galvanized wiring for your cages? I bought a aviary with galvanized wiring, just wanted to know if it's safe thank you
We should never keep our little friends angry like this 😊❤️
For years I had a cockatiel who actually didn’t live in a cage and she was super happy. She would actually get really upset if you put her in a cage. She loved walking across my bed to sleep on my nightstand next to me early in the mornings. I miss Sparky. 💕 I found her being cage free was super efficient for hand training her, if she landed in the floor, she learned hands mean “up” to the play place... then hands meant skritchies and nummies too.
My husband and I have a two year old male Budgie, Ozzy.
We have him in a rectangular cage. We let him out once a day when we know at least on of us will be dating near by.
He was afraid first bringing him home but I told my husband have patience. He was a baby. We talked him softly and I slowly finger trained him on his time.
Now he's so attached to us. He's like our child. He blesses us when we sneeze, says good morning, peek a boo and says "I'm so smart." He is very smart. I've taught him a little German. He'll say I love you, thank you, please, and Merry Christmas all in German.
He speaks endlessly.😄
He's very entertaining and we love him so much!
He's very attached to me. My husband says I'm his girlfriend. He does the girly whistle and the whistle for getting someone's attention.
I think he thinks he's people.
He loves car rides in his cage of course when we travel to.our son's house to pet sit. He's very use to it and talks the whole 20 minutes driving.
We always keep him very safe.
I only wish I could put him on a leash like a dog and take him to the store with me.🤗
Typo........not dating, sitting.😄
I watched your videos before I purchased a budgie, back in 2018,now I am happy because all my budgies are healthy!
My budgie hates my guts. I love him though.
Hi alen I have an happy news for you!!! One of my female budgie has laid 3 eggs. Please alen pray that all should hatch. I saw the taming watch list. It was very useful. 14 are tamed but three are left. Thank u alen. A great salute from 🇮🇳 India. Thank u so much.

Wow! I hope the eggs hatch alright:D
Thanks everyone
I live with my in-laws ,and with me,came my little friend. We painted a room where our budgie usually stays (it's a smaller room and she's always out), we had to keep her in a cage for 2 days while painting ,and it broke my heart seeing her inside, i love when she's out and happy ☺☺
This is exactly the information that we need to know!! Thanks so much for posting 😊
Outstanding video and advice. My budgies love to listen and watch as much as I do. ❤️
Hi Alen, thanks for the info. Im about to buy a budgie and its all thanks to your channel that I learned many things about them.
Great to hear! Good luck and take care of that lucky Budgie
Take care!
@Alen AxP plz tell how protect our budgies from ants?
@@elbinbiju5884 Well you can exterminate the ants. If you have them outside, I suggest putting them some place high.
I've learned many things also from them.

Thanks a lot ❤️
This is an important video for those of us who have birds.
For people who think it's cruel they don't realize that these little birds are bred, hatched and hand fed and raised. They are domesticated birds.
They won't survive if released outside.
I love birds and when given good care like these little budgies it's beautifully to know that they live longer.
For flock birds in the wild it's survival of the fittest. Six years in the wild isn't a very long life for these little birds. I don't have a budgie, I have a cockatiel . I am now in love with little budgies and wish my circumstances were different so I could maybe rescue some. 💕
I love how Alen, his lovely wife and everyone on this awesome Channel adores these birds and their own birds. Plus, the very nice peeps who watch and educate themselves before they get budgies or other birds.
Alen's channel is a blessing.
Thank you Alenand all of the little budgies. 🐦
Thank you for the wonderful video of birds in the cage. I was beginning to wonder was I being cruel to my pet birds in their cage. But the information on your video explains I'm not. 🙂🐦🐦🐦
I love your videos so much :)
Thank you !!
Keep up the hard work !!!
Okay so my family tries a lot to get my bird out of his cage but he refuses and likes it too much!! LOL
I've got 22 lovebirds and many of them don't want to go out, to me, it's like their house for them. Moreover, if they go out, they fight and bite their legs and fingers 😭
When i got my budgie i knew nothing about them until i watched your videos i learned a lot from you thank you !!! :)
you got a budgie knowing nothing about them???
Why would you get a pet without doing any research about it?
Great video with great information. My budgies only go in their cage to eat, sleep and drink water. In fact since they are used to being outside. They hate being in the cage. You can’t have them in for 5 mins. They only like to sleep in it. Even though they have a big cage they don’t like being in it.
Thanks alen making for this video 🤗🥰💖
Hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks 😊
for my budgies, their cage is like their room. when they're out for too long they get anxious, when i put them back in the cage they fall asleep almost immediately bc they're tired from all the flying !
This is a nice setting this man has with his budgies. 👍
You're a wonderful budgie father! to cookie and all the rest of your babies. Great video my friend ...
That is very true alen is a great budgie carer
Excellent, love your videos!
Glad you like them! 🧡🧡
Hello Alen! I have a female budgie with me. She is cute and very energetic, but we only have one bird as her partner died a few days ago. She is now lonely. I can't bring a new bird because the pet store has birds that are quiet ill. Can my birdie survive if it's lonely? I do spend time with her by handfeeding her with some treats.
If you can't buy from a pet store, you should probably try your best to find another budgie from a breeder or from a rescue! That's the best I can do to help, I hope that you find someone more experienced to help you :)
@@sipuli13 thank you, I will try to find a breeder nearby

What do you do for a semi tame bird that doesn’t want to leave the cage? 😢 she’ll step on my finger but she jumps off as soon as I start to move toward the door. I think the term is Cage bound?
Thank you dear. Its really educational and helpful

I don't keep my budgies in a cage nor in a bird room

That's why I am in love with your channel Snow and Lemon. When are you going to make diy cage??
I agree! 👍👍👍 💯💯💯
My budgerigar passed away 2 days ago because I left home and the cage was open. I had also forgotten to close the kitchen window before I left the house. Then my budgerigar wanted to discover everything and flew out the window. When I got home I saw him in the middle of the road with a bleeding eye, probably he was attacked by a crow but I'm not sure. I miss him and when I think of him I often cry because he always made the house happier and was always funny. The bad thing is that he has a wife who carries an egg. What am I supposed to do now because she doesn't know he's dead. Should I get another male budgerigar now?
Hi Alen, I'm A Subscriber Of Your Channel. Thanks For The Info You Gave Us . But I Don't Have Space To Leave Budgie Inside House. But I'll Keep That Outside As Much I Can,Even Though It Don't Like Me.
My first budgie 4 budgies where out of the cage budgies. My 5th was a cagesitter. Never left the cage unless i took it out. Then after half an hour to 2 hours it went back in. Now i have 2 budgies younger then a year that decided my house was too boring. Toys inside the cage are more fun then whatever there is around them. Even closing the cage while theyre outside doesnt work. They can open it themselves.
All my budgies and cockatiels come in and out of the cage as they please all day expect at night.
Every morning, they all can't wait to get out of the cage.
Budgies love cages, I used to open often cages for a day and they didn't want to leave
Alen AxP, how do you know the difference between a depressed budgie and a sick budgie? I have a female budgie that unfortunately lost her parents and her sister flew away months ago, but I also think she is sick. I don’t know which though.
Here are some sick bird symptoms czcams.com/video/0FgI3zc7Dqw/video.html
For the best of your Budgies health is to take her to the vet to be sure. 🧡

If nobody is at home for many hours, I usually keep budgies inside cage. It is safer. Because you would not to know what dangerous situations budgies would encounter. When some budgies are inside the cage, some are outside, e.g. at roof of the cage, inside ones like to bite the foot of outside one's.
🇮🇪. Have a nice day. and great video sharing 🦜🦜🦜
Thank you! You too!

I adopted a budgie about 1 1/2 months ago.
I am having trouble getting him to warm up and trust me .
He's an older bird I think.
So I was considering going to buy a baby and possibly training the baby an in hopes that the baby will show my older bird that it can trust me .
What do u think ???
@Alen AxP I keep my 2 parakeets in a cage and they are very active they play together a lot and they play with their toys do you think that I am doing a cruel thing? Please respond
Friends support also my bird's CZcams channel
i learned so much fact from your youtube channel
I wish I had a bigger cage😀😀. I try to convince my parents to buy a bigger one and a few more toys. I don't know whether I am cruel or not in the eyes of my budgie. But I sure give them all I can and lots of love 👍👍😀😀😎😎
Keeping a bird in a cage is cruel.
I let my birds out two to three hours outside since I cant keep an eye on them all day but they live in a decently big cage. Recently four new budgies were born and now I have 13 in one cage
I let my budgies out once in a while they are happy. They were out today flying around while cleaning cage
❤️❤️❤️🐦🐦
how do you get them to go ack to their own cage for the night or over the day?
You and dzermina both uploaded nearly in the same time , so who should I watch 😅
Neither, they're both bad
But why they are bad for you
@@duolingobird9279 Why ? What is wrong with you ?!
@@Akmsafinsafin543gmail. What bad ?! Please explain !
But why you say they are both bad
If it's cruel to keep a bird in a cage then it's just as cruel to keep a hamster, guinea pig, mice/rat in one as well. I could argue that even a fish tank is a glass prison.
Yea! People are really misinformed about rodent care, and they need to be kept outside at least 1 hour a day.
@@sipuli13 the people who are crying that is cruel to keep a bird in a cage are probably the same ones who keep their rodents in a cage all day long and their fish in a bowl.
@@briananuvattanachai6646 yea! Fish need different size enclosures depending on species, but all of them need something bigger than that!
My budgie cage is almost always open and he does what he wants, he enters by himself
Mine too. It's opened in the morning, then only closed at night. He chooses and gets lots of exercise and freedom x
@@eww8069 Our budgie health depends on us, I try to give him the best life! He exercises a lot because the cage door is open and he always flies around, only time cage is closed is at night or when I cook and try to open windows :)

Can you make a video on how to set up a room for budgies to fly around in
My budgie constantly flap his wings I don't know what is the reason please tell me about it.
my budgie is out for an entire month cuz my vacation has started so just want them to be happy but alenaxp is it ok to keep a budgie free flying in house for an month
I have a large cage for two - Bogart & Babe ( although Babe is a male too ! - We were misinformed about its sex ? ) They go in to theircage at night when they are tired - When lights going down
And are out at the crack of dawn & flying around the living room together ! -I had a couple of perches on long poles like a stand and I move then around the room to change the land scape of the Room !
This is something I have often wondered about ? - Am I being cruel ? - If they are born in captivity they need to be looked after in capti ity ! -There's no way ? -If I was crazy enough to just let them go - that they would adapt to the out side world - We have native preditors local Magpies & a couple of Kestrals ! - And weve been having real cold spells recently - covered in snow -Theres no way they would survive that kind of severe weather - I love my boys i think there happy here !
I have four budgies .. I make toys for them feed them play with them grow food for them bathe them .. in all do everything I possibly can to keep them happy n healthy..my day starts with them n ends with them ... but my relatives fail to understand this they every single time say you are so cruel n selfish don't keep the birds in cage ...one day they will escape away from you ... we will open the cage and let them in the sky ...n the place where I live lil budgie don't survive here ... even after so many attempts to make them understand they still be the same n fail to look at the bond which me n my birds share.... it breaks my heart .. please people get your mind out of the cage ...
Your relatives are correct, you are a cruel individual.
Whats the brand of that cage please?
I open cage door daily and baby is not interested in coming out. I live alone no other pets. He's shy and timid.

my bird is most of the time in the cage, because they feel better there, my birds are always hapy and chirping with along with other birds, they do have a perfect size cage, food, water! All the basic needs, but i do let them out atleast every 5 days. but im trying to get them out more! :)
they are so sad! but i saved 7 birds yesterday! i bought them from the bird market and they were sqeezing in such a small cage :(
Make video about their breeding behaviour of love birds. What age they start breeding.
My birds won't come out. I open their door every morning and they refuse to fly around. I wish they would! ❤️
We got ours a bird playground and put it on top of his cage when we let him out. Also put a treat out like millet.
@@ingridroach5858 I'll definitely try the playground. Thank you! I tried treats but they won't come out. They look at the open door like they are thinking about it but they never come out. I wish they would. I would love for them to spread their wings. I know they would love it if they did!!
I advise you to make the budgie first be comfortable with being near the cage door, then offer millets not so long outside the cage door. That’s how I made my budgies fly outside.
