How old is your feather friend? 🧡
🙏❤🐦🐦😊I believe they are around a year and a half. I brought them home April 1st last year and I think they were around 4 months because their ceres were still translucent. They were clipped then but I won't do that. Every morning I open the cage door and they fly out. They're happy. They are still not letting me touch them but I know they've adapted to myself and their surroundings very well. I let you know about what my pet psychic said. They get close to me when they fly. So I know they love me and are curious about my comings and goings.😊🐦🐦❤🙏
I have 8 budgies all are around 6 yrs

1 year my oldest bird she flew away(my oldest was 3 years this year 4 years)
Also I miss jack♥️ fly high!

Respect to all bird owners✊ Some think that having a pet bird is the easiest thing in the world, but little do they know it's not. You gotta take care about them and their diet. Sometimes they are very stubborn (nobody knows the pain of a bird refusing to go inside it's cage except bird owners 😂) but at the end it is all worth it😌👌✨💖

My beloved budgie just passed away. 😭 I miss him so much. He was 15 years old and was lively and young-looking right up until the day before he died. He lived the best life imaginable, always free around the house whenever I was home, best diet ever, spoilt rotten ❤️ He was a happy little birdie.

You can't wish for more for your budgie. I was so surprised when Alen mentioned 2-3 years? I was like wtf? What are they doing to their budgies over there? But then I remembered how many birds live on an all seeds died, in small cages and with this uniform perches, so it actually should be no surprise. Good to know that you took so good care for your lovely birb friend.

My budgie is almost 9 years old, but I can't get him to eat fruits or vegetables, whatever I do. I am very happy that they can live so long. I would miss him if anything happened to him.

And bring the food near it's eyes And say to eat and Keep it Then afterwards they will eat but you will have to put those things regularly or else they will not be in a habit of it

My oldest budgie ever was with me for 20 years. :) I got him in elementary school and still had him in university. His name was Chico and he outlived three females. Unfortunately he couldn't fly during the second half of his life due to a joint issue in his shoulder, he had a thyroid issue and I'd say he wasn't very smart, but he survived a few severe illnesses. Got on everybody's nerves with his screaming - no one would take him twice during holiday.. and he used to blow up his air sacks all the time (on purpose): he looked like a balloon ready to pop and no vet knew why he did that. But we never did anything special, he just had good genes I guess, and luck.

I’m sorry but are you sure that your cat hasn’t been annoyed by your budgie because budgies don’t realize but cats usually KILL budgies and by best friend do you mean playing around because that’s more like chasing
Don’t stress Helena. The budgie is never out it’s cage when the cats are in the house. I’m pretty sure they would eat her. But she loves looking at them, and calling out to them.
@@pbeccas I always make sure my door to my room is closed when I let my Budgie out of the cage because I have 2 dogs that wouldn’t hesitate to get an easy meal. Her wings were clipped before I got her, but I decided to let them grow back so she can fly around my room safely and be happier,

Yes! Budgies can live for so long but sadly often only live for 1-3 due to poor conditions or birth defects 😔 great video!!

The average lifespan in my flock is around 6 to 10 years. Had two budgies reach 13 years. Record holder is my indestructible Yukiko with 14 years old. Can't fly no more and has one foot that isn't quite working but that dosn't hold her back to climb and trying to keep up with the others. Some Budgies are thougher than one would expect. 🐦🥊
I jistlost my girl last week she was 15! I hand raised her from a tiny baby just getting feathers.

My little budgie is 13 years old and we saw him hatch. We just had one that just passed away at 15, it's companion. I knew he would be lonely and sure enough his singing almost stopped. I asked shop's about getting new companions but was told he was to old and he would be happy with just a mirror. I KNOW my budgie, he wouldn't be happy. So we bit the bullet and got two other budgies, they are very young. But oh man, is my 13 year old is one happy budgie. He sings so much, loves being able to interact and groom and feed. Who knows, maybe he'll mate with, we presume is a female, and we'll have some decendents from him. The one thing he's really never eat much is fruits or veggies, no matter how hard I try. But need to try again for the new budgies and hopefully one will start, and the rest will follow.
That's horrifying to be told he to old. Glad he happy thought.
My female budgie that died recently we got her a companion but she died from tumer
It's good to know that your budgie doesn't like fruits and veggies, but has lived so long. My boy is 10 years old, and wont eat any fruits or veggies. He will pick at a dandelion leaf occasionally, but that's it.

I lost my 2 budgies in December/January both two was around 13 years old and happy until the end of their lives

Totally unrelated but after my budgie hen laid 2 dud eggs, she finally laid a fertile egg!!! Super excited!! 🤩 yes, all your videos (including how to candle eggs) have been a massive help!! 💕 glad cookie is doing better. 😊

Diet is so important. Good advice.
Mines was on the bottom of the cage and I grabbed her and put her in a warm blanket, she seemed fine but I wasn’t convinced I called vets but all were closing around, but again I would see her eat and then fall asleep, i had to put her back in the cage and I put her in her cozy blanket , went out for an errand and got called she passed away. I’ve been crying all day today because she was the happiest but she gave me the chance to enjoy her one last time and I knew she passed peacefully and knew I loved her so much

They *don't* like noise? My rescue budgie of one month is very fond of it, or so it seems to my inexperienced eyes. She like the vacuum cleaner and the hand-held one, she sings at pots banged together and the music she reacts to most often is 30s-50s jazz and symphonic metal. Weird little dino

My brother recently found a budgie in our yard. Poor thing was so scared.. Turns out it belonged to a neighbor and they just discarded of it. I saw its super small cage in the alley. So I bought him a bigger cage. When we would get close he/she would start shaking. I don't know what kind life it had before but I hope he/she feels better. Unfortunately I have cats so will see if they will be ok with the budgie .. Obviously I don't put him/her in danger. Your videos are very helpful.
I love my two budgies ❤❤❤ mine are cage free all day .. Squeaker is so friendly, the other day was funny, she was always seeing my hair down and she likes nesting in it I put my hair in a messy bun , lol she kept looking for my hair she looked so confused but she found it jumped up on my bun lol and Vampirous is still a little shy but finally getting on my finger :) you can see my budgies on my channel in my post. Their so cute 😍
