Hello CZcams! In this video, we will show you how to fix your microphone problem (internal mic or external mic) if it is not working properly on your PC and you get cannot find your microphone in your device manager or your microphone is missing from your device manager or it is not recognized by your pc or laptop when it is properly connected to your computer. It will also work if your mic is not showing up on your windows 10 pc or laptop in settings and other applications.
This fix contains all possible solutions to solving this problem with your microphone on Windows 10. Moreover, this fix is meant as an easy and quick way to get your mic running again but if this doesn't work, the recommendation is to first restart your PC after all the solutions and fixes, and then try reinstalling windows. Meant for all current Windows versions: XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and of course Windows 10.

Yeah, great, except this entire video is in response to literally a different problem from the one in the title. The title of the video is "How to Fix Microphone NOT SHOWING UP" and every solution offered here involves finding the microphone in a list of options in one of the Windows settings menus. Forgive me do, but if the microphone is not showing up, you can't do any of this because it's not going to be among the list of choices. You're in good company with this, as every video I've watched so far says exactly the same thing, but it's still pretty annoying. "Oh, your microphone isn't showing up? I can help! First go to the device manager and find the microphone in the list of choices!"

I use a voip program called echolink. when i key the microphone my audio goes down istead of up in my line-in jack. any idea's on why this is happening?

hello, I recently bought a no-brand BM820 microphone from and I have an Asus Vivobook S15 S531FL laptop and I plugged it into one of my USB 2.0 ports, it currently is powered on because I can see the mute button glowing blue for on and red for mute, and I have done the steps for 5:09 and I deleted the one that I assumed it was (named USB Condenser Microphone) and restarted my system, it did not show up anymore and I tried to follow the steps after with what was available and it did not solve the issue

I dont get it Like i got a blackshark mic and headphones and it isnt even detected all its detecting is the regular microphone it doesnt say like the name of it
On My desktop I plug my IEM Kz zsn pro x with mic and 3.5mm jack onto the slot that shows headset and it detects my microphone and I can use it. But on my laptop it doesnt pop up anywhere even when I show hidden devices. When I plug it in nothing pops up, is there a solution to this please help. Non of the things here worked.

Mine appears but it’s not registering my voice the side bar does not go up when talking and people can’t hear me
For me its show that intel(r) not working its shows Realtek High Definition Audio and Intel(r) is disabled and can't find at Sound Control Panel
So my PC doesn't seem to register when a mic is plugged in via USB but when a phone charger let's say is plugged in it's fine... I saw the 'USB-MIC' in device manager but the hardware device isn't connected to the computer and the driver is up to date.. What do I do?

If you have realtek drivers on your computer, check their audio settings. It would causing the issue cause they either recognize headphones as speakers or microphone but not both at the same time
