This game is what CGI trailers for action games during PS3/360 era... Now we have it in real time... Feels like a Heavy Metal magazine come to life...
Now this is how a game is done.
Demo is actual perfection. The music that played in the background of the second segment itself was so beautiful. The gameplay looks smooth and the outfits look incredible in game. Stellar Blade drops next month and I will be platinuming that masterpiece in a heartbeat.
The music in the demos is sooo good. I thought it sounded a lot like Nier Automata, then looked it up and found out it actually is Keiichi Okabe doing his magic again.
They need to just release the demo already.

Thanks for the video! Just wanted to note that her sword is not called "stellar blade." This is misinformation and the person who wrote the interview was just making an assumption. The name of the weapon is mentioned somewhere in the bits of info we have gotten but I can't remember where. They have actually said in another interview what the title stands for though. Which it basically stands for Eve herself. "Stellar" = Relating to coming from the stars/Outerspace and "Blade" = being a warrior/guardian for the people.

As someone that plays alot of Action-RPG/JRPG series that focus primarily focuses on story and narrative (extremely big fan of Xenoblade), I'm super excited for what this game has to offer in terms of story telling and how immersed I can get myself into the game!

I bought 2 copies of this game one digital and one phisycal. I don’t trust digital media anymore,everyone should start buying physical media again, it’s going to be draconian laws for digital media.

I am excited about an out of this world sci-fi story with twists and unexpected reveals as well as amazing boss and monster design with exciting and engaging battles
I love different outfits in games. Bloodbourne is a perfect example. I just love trying different cosmetics and seeing what I like on a character
The agency announced that costume DLC, hair, and makeup will be added in the future, but the DLC story was not mentioned.
I'm so glad we're seeing more Korean devs not make awful revenue streams and instead just make a good game that you pay for once. And if Lies of P is any indicator the quality is there. No doubt plenty of Japanese single player games have influenced this decision. Hopefully this will spark a new industry in Korea and eventually China for high quality offline action RPGs.
A.I. Limit, another PS5 exclusive in a similar style- is from Sony's China program and is by a Chinese developer but that is due later on this year

Sony got some publicity for leaked demo. I hope it's released soon.. the game itself comes out 26th April.
Obvious 'assets' aside, the game genuinely looks great. I'm really looking forward to it. I *LOVED* Nier Automata's gameplay and story ideas, and this looks to be in a similar vein, but maybe with a lot more weirdness thrown in with the enemy designs which I'm all for. Looks so cool. Can't wait!

I plan on buying physical copies of Korean, Japanese and American Stellar blade discs for collectability, and purchasing the download exclusives, and limited additions on psn for gaming, hope Shift Up has online stock market, going to buy it as well gonna support this company, I think there is more to come after The release of Stellar Blade!
Reminds me of PSO. I would love to see customizable MAGs and maybe even an online mode with different classes.

I always buy physical copies, you can always go back to the old updates too. I don’t see why you would go digital. Plus physical copies feel good and can be resold.
there is a reason one edition is called 'Digital Delxe' there is no physical media equivalent. So you can get the base aka Standard release physically but not the deluxe

We will definitely see more new western developers making games of this kind or otherwise, but maintaining the art direction developers intended instead of inclusivity consulting firms altering the art direction and the writing.

I mean... I've been following project eve for a few years and I found it to have a visual style! It reminds me of monster hunter but with more specialized, sleek and refined attack styles, and it has a hint of the old heavy metal fakk, if people still remember that. And I just like that brazen kind of character, and the way they manifest themselves in the world, being a shepherd, an angel and a powerful guardian plus having a cheeky vibe to them as well..
It has quite a unique vibe to it,
Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. now there's a blast from the past... the animated version was interesting too
Kinda glad I started buying physical copies again. Big AAA games I buy the physical deluxe editions while Indies and side scrollers im not ganna play for long digitally. For example got FF7R and Rebirth deluxe physical with the steelbooks. Can't trust digital 100%. Anyway can't wait for this game.

I think people are a bit disillusioned when they think that a physical copy is gonna save a console maker from bricking something you own. It definitely doesn't. As long as your console is connected to the internet, Sony, nintendo, microsoft, and anybody else who doesn't want you to engage with that media can brick it anytime with a patch. Digital or physical.
You gotta never play online to be completely safe from that, and even then, a lot of games nowadays require that you're online to download something.
i have 100% faith in stellar blade considering jus how good the story of nikke is. they managed to turn the jiggly booty gacha game into a narrative masterpiece, so i’d imagine bein able to develop something with a definitive ending will allow them to make a classic frfr
Problem is that they seem to be leaning too hard into the NieR inspired aspects and it just seems like they're practically ripping off Automata.
Now don't get me wrong, I'll be happy either way even if it is just a copycat, because the gameplay, music and character design, even art design all looks great.
But I'd definitely prefer if they could give it their own touch of originality to cement it as the stellar blade story, and not the NieR:Automata story retold through stellar blade.
I've heard good things about their writing for nikke, but again they're really pushing the envelope that it's supposed to be a very NieR inspired game. Very NieR. I mean they went as far as getting keichii okabe to do almost half of the music for the game. I've never seen a game try to follow another games footsteps so closely.

The demo already came out. The only problem is they removed it off your system but if you have two PlayStation one that you keep on line all the time and one that you keep off-line well you still have it.

Yeah, that combat was boring. The camera angle was locked to over the shoulder. This seems to be more free.
Don't understand these template over the shoulder big narrative action-adventure games that started to come during PS4 era. PS5 gen has only have this type of genre from PS Studios thanks to Jim Ryan.
I have questioning Sony for lack of genres on PS5 from PS Studios. Where are the RPGs (I mean real RPGs with class system, mini-games, party members), horror games, 3D action games aka 3D platformer, arcade racing, puzzle games, etc?
Shift Up is making an action-adventure game but not similar to the template games. Team Ninja's Rise of the Ronin was also handled by Shuhei Yoshida since 2015. But since 2021 did XDEV changed. Shu didn't just looked at Shift Up's prototype he set up XDEV Korea so SIE Korea's own XDEV team could work with Korean 2nd party studios.
This happened simultaneously with SIEJ's restructuring between 2020 and 2021. In July 2021 did SIEK hired JunHo Lee from NCsoft to be part of XDEV Korea team and a senior account manager from Smilegate (Jeongwoon Park) to manage top game companies in Korea including partnerships, business development and platform onboarding.
Both XDEV Korea and XDEV Japan were set up in Aug 2021. JunHo Lee is associate producer of Stellar Blade together with Kazuma Kizuka (former Japan Studio's assistant producer, currently XDEV Japan's associate producer) and Arnaud (director of XDEV Japan).
Stellar Blade is the first project from XDEV Korea so there were lack of staff when JunHo Lee joined SIEK. But in 2023 according to Linkedin did they hired a digital marketer (Chaeryeong Lim) who only had this role for 6 months until she was transferred to XDEV Korea team in January 2024.
Kiichiro Urata was appointed company director of SIE in Sep 2022 and by early 2023 did SIEK hired a global account director. Urata moved business operations from Japan to Korea (M&A opportunities and growth). Don't get things wrong, XDEV Japan will still work with 2nd party studios in Japan, but in terms of M&A activities that is over in Japan.
I hope genres will get better on PS5 and carry it over to PS6.
Ragnarok is a total bore fest. It really went from God of War to God of Bore.
My take: the core of it looks very fun, but there’s a noticeable lack of polish. I did notice terrain issues preventing Eve from interacting with certain elements, some weird collision issue when jumping near walls, and a issue where it was very easy to run past an interactive area so you had to manually jiggle the character around a bit until you found the right spot to interact with. Nothing game breaking, but it does add up. And a lot of people whom I’ve seen play it seems to really suck at it. Seems like you can dodge cancel out of most attacks, but only block cancel out of certain attacks. The tendency to relentlessly attack and then try to parry at the last second is not going to be as effective.

no it wasn't. Project EVE was never for PC- it was intended to be on Xbox One and PS4. Microsoft didn't take it, Sony did. Without Sony's funding it never would have been made. So, since Sony funded, supported and are publishing Stellar Blade- ShiftUp made it PS5 exclusive. PS5 Pro rumoured to be revealed this year, Stellar Blade as a system seller is needed for it to sell huge. Sony, being way smarter than Microsoft, are not going to jeopardise the potential sales for their new console. PC version may be a year or two away

This is why i always get physical games even on switch and xbox like with xbox sure there is gamepass but they can remove the games from the service whenever they want and you cant play it anymore because you dont own it. I dont even own gamepass though everything i get i own because its all physical for me still i really feel bad for the people who own a digital ps5 only to log on and there games are all gone.

Guys listen up, we need to make a statement with this game.
This game has been receiving knockback by woke weirdos, people are loving this game because it does what we want in videogames, and Kim Hung Tae has done an amazing job with this game, I know I should wait for the game to come out first but as a gaming community we need to make this game win game of the year at the game awards.
Doing this will let the developers know what we want in videogames, it will encourage Shift Up to make more sick games like Stellar Blade, we have the ability to rub it in the face of the woke idots that has something negative to say about this game plus since these developers love to copy other games why not make them copy a good game.
We come together when it come to negativity so why not come together for something positive and Shift Up deserves all the accolades so again, we need to make Stellar Blade win GAME OF THE YEAR so we can make a statement to other developers.

i have a game i paid for suddenly locked by Sony. no reason given. customer service says they escalated the issue and have not responded in the past 4 days. not even a demo a game still in the psn store that i paid for. i did all the recommended stuff to restore licences changed passwords rebooted nothing works and silence so far from Sony
