- Cheeky Saturday upload- today we're having some fun in the P-51C-10 at 3.7. This thing is a pretty rare breed in this game, being average-good at pretty much everything, making it a lot of fun to play in my opinion! Please, enjoy.
As long as you have enough speed, since this thing is decent at everything, you can do whatever you'd like and probably win the fight. I mean, within limits of course, don't be turn fighting zeros... BUT, you can boom & zoom, energy fight with enough speed, turn fight most planes that aren't zeros/spitfires/yaks, climb for bombers, bait for teammates, headon from 2 km out with your 50 cals, even go for ground units if that's your thing... point is, this plane is very versatile. If you're smart, you'll climb (maybe even off to the side) and boom and zoom the enemies, using your speed to your advantage without having to worry about being caught. Of course, that can be boring, so do whatever tickles your fancy.
If you need a squadron in game, join the =Nimbo= squadron! The only requirement is at least 5 games in any realistic battles game mode. Make sure you stay active if you do join, or you will receive das boot- if that happens feel free to rejoin anytime if you plan on being active. We've got around 10 more slots, so get in while you can! :)

After trying your boom and zoom strategy, i actually learned how to use american props like this one, thanks man, you got a new sub :)

@@christopherchartier3017 yea it’s interesting. It’s so good against other props, especially at low to mid altitudes and at low to mid speed engagements. But it has the worst dive performance and high speed maneuverability of all the props at that BR. The damn thing rips at 720 km/h, which isn’t fast at all. You can even rip it in a straight line on WEP if you had built up some speed from a dive before hand. It will be the worst possible plane to face jets. You will never, ever catch one even when diving. Only a level 20 brain dead noob in a jet would ever die to a yak 3U. So I’m not sure how it would do with a higher BR. Also, only 120 rounds per gun on its cannons. The same as the 2.3 Yak. Guns are good but this thing probably has the least impressive prop armament at that BR range. Or at least one of the worst. So I’m torn a bit about where the yak 3U belongs to be honest.
@@roadkill6737 It’s just an oppressive plane to fight as a prop. I mean the P-51H to me is up there as one of the best in the game, and in a dogfight it can struggle. Even the 109K-4 at the same BR doesn’t really have any advantages other than dive speed and high alt performance. In other words, it’s a plane that excels at the early game but in the late game against opponents who get above you you’re done

Idk I played only US premium one (P-51 something-something-NA) and I really disliked it back in the days. The rudder works very bad, energy retention is similar to some jap planes (means it has 0 energy retention and dump all of its speed in a single turn) can accelerate above 500kph only in the dive, accelerates very slowly so idk it just feels extremely bad compared to soviet P-39, German BF-109 G-6 or F-4, Yak-3/3U, G.55 and a lot of other planes around 3.0-5.0

i personally like the p51 with the 20mils more. but its a good all rounder.
