What I learned about the convoys, is that if you lock the ground somewhere ahead of them, when they pass in front of the missile whilst it's on the way to them, it'll sort of latch onto and guide after them despite not being locked onto them when you fired it.
Makes it a lot easier to launch and leave from further away.

How do you zoom in the tv camera?
i was flying the a10 yesterday. being able to lock and launch from 6 miles without the maverick blowing up mid-air was so much better. im so glad the point track was fixed.

Thank you for doing the vid ❤. The only advice I wanna give is that the thermals are gen 1 so they look 'fuzzy' as the agm65D is an early IR maverick I think so when we hopefully get the a10c it will come with a more updated IR maverick with gen 2 thermals which are very clear. Convoys only have 2 spaa I think and the tanks will burn out if you light them on fire. You want to be using your mavericks for killing Spaa first then the tanks. When a tank battle is going on and you want to check if what your looking at is an enemy or teammate. 1) look at them using the maverick seeker/camera 2) use whatever keybind you have for 'set mark for squad' 3) once the marker is placed look on the map and zoom in. You will also see that what your looking at is a Spaa or tank or light tank if you zoom in alot because of their Icons on the map. If you want to learn so useful stuff about sim I recommend to watch Hunter_i86. His vids helped me to get to learn the basics of sim and tips (your vids also inspired me to play sim more). Thanks again for doing the vid. Keep on making good sim content.
Mavericks will never have improved IR clarity, it was never needed. The A-10C will however be able to use Thermal TGPs which can slave mavericks to targets and will have much better clarity
@@hunterjones225 then people will use the pod that it will receive like you say. Like how people use the mirage 2000c-5 and its pgms and guide them using the pod and not the TV seekrer
Watched this video the other day to get myself hyped for unlocking the AGM-65Ds yesterday. Was not disappointed! First match, cloudy Denmark, low light (so, horrible conditions for TV munitions), but got 21 ground unit kills! Not all were Mavs, but all were enabled by them as SPAA were fully eliminated. Bit fuzzy, but just enough to make out SIDAMs from tanks. I find some flares and hitting the deck is usually enough to evade their fire. Also, SPAA seem to stop firing as soon as the active ground battle ends/expires. Anyway, they've met my expectations, and I'm excited to get more jets with IR Mavs and targeting pods!

Just realized I have the same joystick as you… I almost never use that little mouse nub, but it’s really useful sometimes.
Yeah it's pretty cool, you can adjust the sesitivity in the software.

As an sim a-10 pilot, you have to turn hard and left and right make them aag miss and drop down they still might hit you if you turn other way to early. I recommend staying one. Square and half to fire at them
And probably make sure they die first because after they gone it free kills for days

Always wanted to do simulator battles for aircraft. Just need to find someone with a good tutorial breaking down radar etc and how to identify enemies.

How are you controlling the Mavericks camera from your joystick/throttle? I can't find the settings. It wants me to use my physical mouse or my head tracking.
I think the game uses the "gunner control" settings which is set to the mouse by default. I'm sure you can bind keys/buttons to these settings. My throttle has a thumbstick that emulates the mouse.
Yeah, Those Mavericks doesnt work for me, they Seem to slam directly into the Ground instead of the actual target. 😩

@@CptToastman tried it out in GRB, Got 2 kills with 3 missiles, maybe they just dislike sim players, that wouldn’t be a new one.

Which action is the camera control titled under? I can't move the camera without moving the whole plane it's frustrating
I'm pretty sure it's the gunner control axis. You can assign keys to those controls too.
so I have a question, so the camera where you mark the targets for the agm rockets, the vehicles are white and generally everything is better to see because where can you set it, what is my dad’s name, the vehicles and such are very dark

Yes bud, It is the same controls as the "GUNNER" control settings. You can change them to whatever you want.
I can't zoom the TV camera. Where can I find the setting?
If you look for "MFD" in controls, it should be close

Just play dcs if you have that setup honestly, but if you are adamant to play war thunder, use the f105 to bomb bases, av8 to bomb bases and f5 for multirole

It's just the normal button for zoom matey. I think only the Ds have it.
the aa needs to be nerfed

No joke. Too many times where I have an epic dogfight, or am in the middle of one, pulling tight turns, and getting hit 100% of their shots. The first few times I was super confused
Yeah those bullets are not dodgable in most situations
