They did this with phase 1 but I think it just feels worse now because we’ve seen them do really good, even with origin films. Also, it is being done at such a large scale that it’s making it really obvious. When you’re releasing multiple products every year you’re going to get more trash products yearly as well. It was so much better when they were focusing on 1 to 2 movies at most with the occasional third movie thrown in. Now they have 2 to 4 movies every year with multiple TV shows. It’s so all over the place and confusing.

Because none are good before God, all have sinned against Him and cursed His name, but He in His tender loving mercy hath given us His Son as our ransom. When Jesus was dying all of Gods wrath and judgement was poured out onto Him even though He was sinless. He was sacrificed and tortured on our behalf though we are sinful and carnal. Why aren't all Eternals made exactly like Icarus? Their only objective is to kill the deviants and not interfere with a species's evolution. So if that's the case, why not just make all of them incredibly strong, able to fly with laser vision? Athena is meant to be specialized in fighting or whatever but gets easy clapped by Icarus. So, what then? Is she useless? Because it seems like it. A lot of their powers besides Icarus seem solely useful to meddle with the lives of humans. How does that make sense?

And the powers range from amazing to weak.
Kingo’s finger guns are noticeably weaker than Ikaris’ laser eyes *and* need to be charged up to do any real damage, so Ikaris makes him redundant, Druig’s mind control doesn’t work on deviants or eternals, so he can only use it on humans, and he’s specifically not supposed to do that, Makkari is deaf because of the sonic booms her speed causes, Sprite’s illusions are largely pointless when the fighters just rush in and slaughter the deviants, and Ajak’s healing is so slow that she can’t really use it until the fight is over.

Since we have so many movies now and the accessibility, we are getting more selective with the movies we watch (which is good). Filmmakers already have so much on their shoulders with the film classics that came before, raising expectations based on something that not everybody has access to (larger budgets) and something that's bound to happen (advancements in movie tech). Wanting more and asking more automatically instead of just enjoying movies based on their own individual merits doesn't seem... uh, right.

4 words-- too many main characters. It's really hard to flesh out the story if there's just characters coming one after the other. Three hours is also not enough to make them 3 dimensional characters even if you give them their own moments. I was hyped for the eternals and even defended it from the people who instantly hated it before it even released. So i was genuinely disappointed of it being this bad. So much wasted potential, the most practical way of approaching this would've been a series of movies where the characters pop in a few at a time. Or a straight up series with a few seasons.

It feels surprisingly real. Obviously, since we've already seen it happen with soldiers in wars, researchers and scientists, etc... But, having it happen with a group of superheroes feels new. Specially since they were specifically created for the completion of said goal. They've been alive for thousands of years, living as essentially, overpowered, ageless humans. They've shared stories together for longer than we could ever hope to exist, and now after all this time they are put against each other by their ideals, by their beliefs. "Why aren't the X-men helping on this comic?
Is it because it's not a mutant threat, so it's not their problem?"
"Spider-man is fighting against a big crime organization in New York
    Why can't the Daredevil help?
Because it's out of Hell's Kitchen, so he doesn't care?"
