- Man has the craziest story of all the characters in the Clone Wars IMO. Shame we didn't see more of him in the show...

I’m still super salty that we never got to see the dark disciples arc animated
YES
We got the Martez sisters arc 😐
Don't forget the Yuuzhan Vong ep.
@@JC-zj2is Please don't remind me of those two. If anything, we should've at least gotten the original version with Nyx Okami.
@@michaelandreipalon359 Yeah.
Vos: When this war finally ends, I'll be able to leave the Jedi Order and raise a family.
Anakin: I like the way this guy thinks, I'm sure there's no possible way this could all go horribly wrong.
Rex: Agreed sir. Hang on, getting a transmission from the Chancellor.
Sidious: Execute Order 66.
And that friends, is why you don't have a prequels era Jedi for a husband or wife.......they always end in tragedy such as Etain/Darman and probably few others I'm not familiar with.
I wonder what happened to them, especially Korto...
Hope Korto became a great Jedi Knight who fought in the Yuuzhan Vong War.
Jedi: *collectively* "Oh shit!"
Maul: "Somebody better pick up the phone, because I ******* called it!"
I would've sworn Dooku's character was supposed to be like Vos. Fall to the Dark Side and find Sidious. Gain his trust and eliminate the Sith Lord. Avenge Qui Gon.
That would be a cool alternate timeline to what we have. If only George had started with the prequels...
Honestly, it seems like that was always Dooku's plan. I don't think that he ever truly fell, really. I mean, I don't think that he ever showed Sith eyes, did he?
@@maxxor-overworldhero6730 Exactly, he never had any Sith deformities either. It would be interesting that Sidious figure out Dooku being Yoda's spy and had Anakin kill Dooku.
@@hunterkiller1440 I don't believe spy though. Dooku seemed to be doing this completely on his own.
@@maxxor-overworldhero6730 Dooku has definitely shown his sith eyes in the clone wars.
I wish we've seen more of Quinlan vos in the clone wars
"Well that's your opinion man". - Nah im just kidding it's just a one liner from Quinlan Vos when he meet Kenobi before going with him after Zero. That one episode with him was quite cool. And yes we deff should have seen more of him.
Yes! BAD BATCH TIME!
@@geetslys he’d be a good commander for them ngl
I’m kinda shocked we didn’t
@@geetslys 5:27: Geetsly's, can you please talk about the consequences of this mission on Honoghr come the Galactic Civil War era?
Vos really needed some counseling, he went through so much.
His psychometric powers meant he lived more than his own life.
He wasn't the only one. Anakin is the first to come to mind.
Imagine him going through R2-D2's memory?
In the new Vader comics, it showed Vos as a Jedi whom the empire haven’t been able to find.
He prolly flexes on palpatine by living on coruscant.
@@A_annoying_rodent lmao
He was on kashyyk in revenge of the Sith.
kenobi show as well stated he was doing that underground railroad shit too
Quinlan Vos has always been my favorite jedi every since I was seven and I borrowed star wars comics from the local library. Glad to see more people learning about this wonderful underused character
What are the comics you read? I really want to go through and experience his whole story.
@@smeekma Star Wars: Republic by dark horse was the run where most of these stories came from. If you want to pick them up now the Star Wars Epic Collection trades have a lot of the Quinlan Vos story in them, the menace revealed and clone wars volumes specifically.
Vos seemed like he did death sticks in the clone wars
Probably to keep up with the act.
Vos has quite a story. Worthy of a spin-off movie at the least!
Couldn't agree more. Or perhaps a TV series 🥺🔥🔥
Quinlan Vos was always an interesting character and how he dealt with the dark side is pretty inspiring. Vos is very inspiring and he was one of the 80 some odd Jedi to survive Order 66 and live on. Just a shame that TCW did nothing for the character.
Star Wars Snape lol
7:18 Qulian Vos was not the only Jedi who participated in the battle who survived both order 66 and the Jedi purge. Kkrukh, Ashyrad Hett, and Tholme who also took part in the battle also survived order 66 and the Jedi purge. In addition while in this story Oppo Rancisis died in Star Wars canon he survived order 66 and it is possible that he may have survived the purge as well.
@@jfournerat1274 Your point?
Now THIS is a well written gray character!
I remember reading Quinlan comics and I fricking loved him
Eyyy!
@@geetslys
Dark Disciple is awful. It ruins his fantastic EU storyline.
I know Disney and the series has moved on from the EU, but you don’t NEED to go out of your way to dump all over the EU.
When the Jedi orchestrate your fall to the dark side so you can sabotage the enemy's war plans: *The Spy*
The dreads alone make him one of my favorites
Same. That's one of the reasons him and Kit Fisto are one of my favorite jedi 😅
Fun Fact, one of the Jedi there with Rancisis was A"Sharad Hett, the Tuskan Jedi andater better known as Darth Krayt.
My head canon is that he ended up in the unknown regions as a Ronin almost like a darker version of what Ashoka is doing maybe getting involved with Ezera or the crews from resistance and fallen order. Idk I just really like the idea of the Jedi not being an order in the new era but a smattering of lone knights moving around the galaxy only being called "jedi" by the people they help.
Quinlan Vos has been my fav Jedi since I heard about him. It's a shame TCW didn't go into his character at all.
When they said his name in Obi-Wan my jaw just dropped. Good job Disney. Don’t mess this up.
yea that shit was top 3 moments of the show for me
@@mmraf1 yup. I love the new lore we’re exploring at this point in time in the SW universe
He definitely needs an own series
Damn I really need to get my hands on all the Republic comics they apparently show Quinlan a lot and I am here for it holy fuck.
Yeah for real a lot of jedi only got one episode. And some of them happen to be some of my favorite characters. I know this is wierd but jedi master Ima Gun-Di and that old jedi with the cane that hides his lightsaber when ashoka saber gets stolen are two of my favorite one shot characters.
I Wish master Di had a better name
I so desperately need to see Jason Momoa as Quinlan Vos in live action 😖🙏🥺
He is Ocelot of Star Wars...
He is pretty good.
Doing his triple agent thing.
Well we shouldn't be to hard on Ocelot, it's not his fault he suffers from CBD (Chronic Backstabbing Disorder).
Sounds like Quinlan Vos was just as screwed over by the Jedi as Anakin was
That was Vos' choice. He did what he needed and bounced. Like someone with common sense. Anakin as much as I like him was a slave to his emotions. The Jedi knew it.
We need a movie or show on this man, RIGHT NOW!
Perhaps he will show up in the bad batch
Hell yes. Jason Momoa would be a great Quinlan imo.
Thank you for making this video, I’ve been trying to convince people Vos is criminally underrated for years. His arc in the early 2000’s Republic/Clone Wars comics is fascinating and one of the best storylines in the entire saga imo
As much as I love TCW I wish it wouldn’t have retconned everything from the EU. Their are a lot of great stories I wish where still canon like Vos‘s story or the Commando game
Quinlan was always one of my favorites. His story is so deep and exciting. And a little messed up. Definitely one of the best Jedi stories to come out of the clone wars. Thanks for the video, btw! Awesome work as always.
Would love to see more videos on Vos!
I miss the darker clone wars stories like this from the EU.
The clone wars is a decent show, but could have been so much more if it had targeted an older audience
The thing is SW as a whole is geared on everybody. It’s built to attract new fans in children while still pleasing the older ones. If SW were to go full on adult it would destroy it self by excluding the younger fans.
@@ontasbulent5709 I disagree. I think there’s plenty of room for more adult geared shows, books, comics, and games as well as more children and family friendly ones. Also when you look at the original trilogy and prequels, they were kid friendly without being too goofy. I think clone wars leans too far on the goofy side and rebels is even more so
His story is tragic, and I have a very new and different view concerning Ventress. She is probably the most dynamic character. Except for the evolution of Ashoka, the story of Ventress is understated. The book Dark Disciple is great. I listened with Audible and loved it.
Always been one of my favorites from the Clone Wars, but never knew he was Aayla Securas master. Nice to know.
I forgot all about this character until I watched the Clone Wars during the pandemic, man did it jog my memory, there was a "holy shit it's that guy!" moment I felt like a kid haha. I remember having a few comics with Quinlan Vos in it when I was a kid and thought he was cool as hell. I did a lot of character drawing back then and my imagined Jedi was a sort of Celtic Druid warrior, long hair and Woad facepaint (the blue stuff in Braveheart), so Quin definitely shared similarities in character design. I grew up playing the Dark Forces and Jedi Knight games as a kid too and Kyle Katarn was always trudging through Nar Shaddaa being a maverick Jedi and struggling with the pull to the dark side, seeing Quin covering similar territory was very cool. Jedi's rocking green sabers always seem to be my favorite haha. Didn't know about him fathering a child and thus leaving the Jedi order, that is very awesome, seems like he led a good life in the end.
Since he was no longer a Jedi, did he survive Order 66?
I mean, it’s a parody of Revans story pre KOTOR, but , Vos is also one of the most interesting Jedi after Revan.
Great round up; thank you!
🔥
Vos is definitely one of my top three favourite Jedi.
obi wan kenobi epiosde 3 :D .... you know what i mean. no spoilers
i really hope we see vos in the bad batch series
I just realize Count Dooku looks like Robert E. Lee and Leads the Confederacy of Independent systems.
I wish season 7 had the Dark Disciple arc which I hoped was in the season when it was announced.
Yes I would love to hear more about Quinlan Vos. Is possible that you can go deeper into his childhood and his training as a jedi. Touching on topics like his characteristic traits and understanding why he was such a rebel. Thank you so much for this video. This must've took alot of work.
Just a funny side-note, the way Vos' Species is pronounced in German, is the same as the German word for "stoner"
I personally would like to see the story from Twilight and Infinity's End covered too.
He should have a purple lightsaber but, green is top tier for a story for him.
"Quinlan Vos, nicknamed Quin by those closest to him, possessed a strong sensitivity to the Force, one that nurtured in him an exceptional talent for psychometry.
"Also known as Postcognition, Psychometry was a Force power that was a mental technique of picking up impressions and traces of information about the object touched and the events that have surrounded it.
Wielders of the dark side could use it on living beings, ripping memories from their brains."
"At he time of the Invasion of Naboo, the Jedi Council frowned upon excessive use of this power, as it allowed the user to experience intense emotions, which might make him or her more susceptible to the dark side of the Force."
"Quinlan Vos often used psychometry, being the Kiffar of his time most skilled at it.
As a young man, Luke Skywalker visited the Valley of the Spirits. His untrained psychometric abilities gave him enough insight into the massacre that he could read some of the scene and know where Shmi Skywalker Lars had been restrained. The experience unsettled him to the point where he described it as "worse than a nightmare."
Years later, when Leia Organa was kidnapped by Han Solo as part of an attempt to woo her, Luke Skywalker used this ability to track Han's emotional "scent" to the casino where he had won the planet Dathomir from the Drackmarian warlord Omogg."
"Cere Junda realized that Cal Kestis has the rare ability to see the history of an object when he touches it, what Kestis called a Force Echo coming from the object.
Cal Kestis' third encounter with the Inquisitor known as Second Sister had a moment of this danger. At the end of the fight, Kestis took the Second Sister's lightsaber and immediately had a vision that showed the pain and suffering that took her to the dark side. The sight momentarily left Kestis without action, which allowed the Inquisitor to flee."
MORE VOS!!! My favorite Jedi of all time. Very inspirational.
I’m hoping to see him after order 66 whether it’s in bad batch, the mandalorian or any of the other new shows coming up
He’s without a doubt the coolest character that I think deserves his own tv series probably one of top favorite Jedi 🙌💝🤩
This would be good to see live action
I definitely want you to put out a video about what happened to him during order 66
Ahhhh, thank you, you beautifully voiced British nerd🥲
IM AUSSIE!
@@geetslys Hi Aussie. I’m not your dad 🙃
I loved these old clone wars comics as a kid!
jokes on you, I knew about Vos, and I actually listened to most of the book he was in... I never finished it because I lost access to the audible account I was listening to it on...
I hope he appears in the Bad Batch
His story would make a good video game
We need to see a game version of this story that would be amazing
Joke's on you, I got the Clone Wars Omnibuses of the Republic comics for Christmas 2019 to keep my faith in Star Wars in the aftermath of Episode 9.
He is my favorite. Dark Disciple is awesome.
I like the Cannon Voss story more I think, dudes a badass in both versions regardless!
I used to hate Quinlan Vos to the point where I didn't even want to consider him canon. I found him anoying in Hunt for Ziro and didn't like how Ventress fell in love with him in Dark Disciple. But after learning that Dark Disciple was originally going to be a Clone Wars arc and seeing the unfinished animation of that arc, it really makes me wish I could've seen it.
1st love the vids. Got 2 things though. 1 would love more into this jedi. He all ways interested me and 2nd could u do a vid on the take of jedi killing. We run a jedi table top and would be nice to have some clarification on this. Ty 😊
Bro you gotta read the book where he and Ventrass team up to try to kill Dooku
I would like a Quinlan Vos spin-off
It's sad that he wasn't shown enough in The Clone Wars.
I see these comics are the "in-between" story of when he fell to Dookoo then came back due to Ventress rescuing then ignoring him and still believing he was "leaking hatred from every pore", which he desperately wanted her love back. Ventress dies in his arms and is laid to rest, respectfully, by the Jedi Counsel. I hope she survives Disneys' deathless list. Her story had a tragic end, but an end none the less and I love the story, not her death, but still. Closure is good, folks.
I am honestly a bigger fan of his TCW stoner characterization than the Ostrander Republic comics characterization. (Or bringing back the Ostrander Characterization in Dark Disciple personally)
at least he is still alive in the star wars verse. Hope we get to see him live action one day
Loved reading his order 66 survival comic
"I'm deeper in than never before." - The phrase of a man in a midst of his loss of virginity.
Hell yah. More please!

Dark Disciple would have been one of the best Clone Wars arcs for sure. It's a shame we never got it
We got it, alright, it's just that we didn't watch it in animated form.
@@michaelandreipalon359 Ive seen some of the pre animation stuff. Still would like to see it fully animated

Man's the Revan of the Clone Wars
Has the most interesting arc, maybe. I honestly like Quin's circle much more than Quin himself- Tholme, Khaleen, T'ra Sa'a...
Need More Vos Content!!!
Also yes I'd like to hear about what happened to him during order 66
He lived that’s about all we know
I love the Clone Wars graphic novels made by Dark Horse. Even though the Clone Wars was a great show, I greatly disliked it’s portrayal of Vos, as well as Durge’s absence from the story.
Why didn’t you talk about the stuff in the dark disciple book? There was even more great stuff in there
I would love to know more about vos
we all know that "I know what I'm doing" guy...
Rex 🤝 Vos: Starting out as blink-and-miss background characters and went on to become popular and beloved characters
how did Rex start out as background character?

Can you cover canon New Separatist Union and Confederacy of Corporate Systems? Also maybe cover Legends Corporate Sector Authority, Day 8
Sweet 👍
Once more the Jedi councils caused more problems than it’s worth
Still, they were a bit gutsy by doing all this spywork. That I respect.
Hoping we get to see a cameo of Vos in Bad Batch.
Same, especially if Commander Cody and Delta Squad show up.
Quin is the best. I bought the book. Dark Disciple.
I could see kumail playing him in the obi-wan show
Vos & Secura = the two sexiest Jedi of the Clone Wars Era 👍🏻
I'll keep the Legends version, thanks.
Someone needs to make a modified version of Kreia confronting Atris. Except Atris is Quinlan Vos, and Kreia is a ghost.
Thoughts on Voss being mentioned in Kenobi?
Quinlan Vos the rogue Jedi is a badass.
Anyone know a way to read these comics online? It's really hard to find comics for sale or Vos for a reasonable price
Then what happened after order 66?! Disney should make an animated series of him
yes i would love too hear what happen to him after the clone wars where is his child what is there name are they a Jedi now
which comics are the ones shown in this video?
