      I think people standard for clones are too high, if you think about it, they’re never taught to be human, and their soul purpose is to exist as a killing tool, when your life is already gotten messed up it’s hard to have a good personality

      He was a soldier who knew his exact purpose in life and followed just that. Not to mention he was paired with a Jedi who already had bias against his kind. Clones are basically bred to be obedient drones with little to no connection or empathy for other beings. They are killers first and foremost. Of course that depended on how influential their Jedi counterparts were in broadening their horizons. Not in this case.

      @Jennifer Brewer its because Geetslys made that shit up. Notice how he never states where his source for that information comes from. One of the many things I love about Star Wars are the back story of characters that normally at first glance don’t appear to matter but in reality if you look closely your found they are more than a blank face which is cool and a bit unsettling

    • @user-kq7rf6uq4m
      @user-kq7rf6uq4m Před 8 měsíci

      Absolutely. So many people just see the movies or some of the movies and think that there's no depth to the lore, characters or background stories.
      If you explore both the legends or cannon EU there's so much more there with even literal background characters with no dialogue have life stories and family legacies.
      The animated series deals so much with politics, culture, society's treatment of veterans, the glorification of war, PTSD, economic colonialism, client states, power dynamics, history, a variety of relationship types, corporatism, corruption, social and religious dogma and so many other things.
      Hell, the original trilogy was about fascism and America's genocidal wars in post WWII Southeast Asia and the prequel trilogy was (unintentionally) an absolutely perfect analogy for the neverending war on terror.
      The storyline between Palpatine/Anakin and Darth Sidious/Vader is the very definition of an inequitable power dynamic and the relationship between Padme and Anakin is the absolute definition of a toxic relationship.
      All of which was done with very precise intent, and, even though the prequel trilogy wasn't conceived of as an analogy for the War on Terrorism, the fact that it is such a perfect analogy for it tells you how intentional Lucas was with his political commentary.
      I'm not a fan who spends time hating on the Disney movies but them attempting to succeed at telling background stories by giving a story to the little thing dangling from the ceiling of the cockpit in the Millennium Falcon shows how unaware they were of what makes people love Star Wars.
      People didn't watch the prequels to find out why Luke's father wound up with a lightsaber that color and we didn't walk into the Force Awakens because we were overwhelmed with curiosity about what happened to Luke's outfit after Episode VI.
      Sorry for the rant, lol

      @@snapshotinhistory1367 palps is getting religious for sure, but I think the more interesting things would be the stuff beyond that.
      The Separatists are still separate, this war has been going for a while now.
      Dooku and the SC has a government and an army still and no incentive to lose this war. Grievous has his armies too, and has likely just shifted from "nearly omnicidal" to "fully omnicidal"
      Being a Sith isn't illegal and the Republic is still heavily staffed by Palpatine appointees, so a trial will be required if Mace or Anakin killed him, which they almost certainly will, and there will be a lot of people with reasons to obfuscate the parts of Palpatine's doing that aren't fully digested yet.
      You could potentially see a Jedi-Republic vs. Senate-Republic vs. What-The-Hell-Just-Happened?-Republic divide that could turn into a second contemporaneous civil war, plus you've got the Separatists still fighting and confused with many uncertain if Grievous is still on their side while he takes his ships and just starts indiscriminately glassing systems in a nihilistic rage against all life.

    Voca fought under Vader at Atoa and executed several civilians and prisoners of war under his orders (and complied with those tactical orders that cost the most Imperial lives).
