I got distracted by new Poe league, but now that patch 1 is out hopefully I'll get back to BG3 soon. - Hry

Since it was my first playthrough I was testing around a lot, if I had to redo my leveling I would start as Ranger till 5, then go 3 levels Thief and 2 levels Fighter.
then last 2 levels are up to preference, thief for more sneak dice and 50% attack dmg reduction or 4 levels champion fighter for extra crit threat range.
Alternative to thief one could also go Bard for flourishes, this would be more burst that eats up resources and can only be done limited times per rest, while thief bonus action is always there.
What do you think of 5 battle master instead of hunter ?
3 ini (important), 1 attack of +1d8, superior dv, 3m 1st round

action surge, it is once, but once on a short rest
precision attack - this is the buying point since your damage is already high, i'm thinking the main problem is actually hitting
Hitting is only a problem before freeing Halsin.(so before level 3 or 4, lol)
I did not know this in my first blind playthrough, but the moment you have freed Halsin you can just rush to A2 (and always come back to A1) and get the Risky Ring.
With the risky Ring you have 80-90% hitchance vs all endgame bosses even with Sharpshooter penalty.
Fighter can be chosen in this build but you'd never choose it over Ranger, 4 Fighter instead of 5 Rogue would be the play (still going 3 Rogue).
Whether Battlemaster is better than champion is another question, because +1 crit range is quite op.
Hi, what do you think of the youtuber "Baldurs_Gate_2". Are his runs legit? because for example when he plays pathfinder games solo on unfair he isnt get hitted like when i play, or he is very lucky. What is your opinion?
Haven't watched him in a while so I wouldn't know.
I think he is using mods for carry weight removal and infinite troops (in WOTR) which I personally wouldn't do, but which also don't matter as much in a regular run (even tho I personally would consider it cheating in an ironman run, since you could get unlucky in a fight and lose all your troops).
Idk if he uses anything besides that as I said haven't watched him in a while, but he definitely did some very interesting things in the runs I did watch that I also copied for my own runs.
